  1. Spot of modification to an issued smoke grenade pouch and a side pouch liner. I present to you a small utility pouch...
  2. That’s magic right there that is....
  3. For those that are interested and as I can find very little online: Overall it was a good site. The size is approx 100 acres and the games are long and flowing. Expect to be out all morning. The terrain is fairly flat but there is lots of folds in the ground and vegetation. Engagement ranges vary with neither long or short being over represented. Hit taking was excellent from what I noticed and there wasn’t much grumbling apart from one very obvious issue. The briefs. Oh my days they go on and on and on. I’m fairly certain the opening brief took well over half an hour but by the end I had completely switched off. Easily the longest by a fair margin that I have experienced at any site and mainly irrelevant to the actual game. Not surprisingly I heard some of the marshalls moaning people weren’t listening to briefs. Hardly surprising all things considering. Fix this and it will be an epic site that’s well priced. Alas no amenities were there but be forewarned and bring your own food and drink. Although you do get a can of crisps and a bottle of pop at lunch which is a nice touch considering it’s £20 for the day.
  4. I was at both days mentioned and totally agree with the review. None of the feedback has actually been implemented which I hasten to add was extremely constructive and well intentioned. Some of the rules are also poorly implemented. One being no solid pyro to be above waste height. But if your on the first floor it’s ok to drop it down but you can’t throw back up. Makes no sense whatsoever and causes games to stall with no hope of clearing buildings which has netting around the raised walkway which you can’t shoot through. The other thing that bugs me is that inside it’s semi auto only. Alas one of the player marshalls had a binary trigger which is certainly not in the spirit of semi only. Its a shame as it could be a really good site. But if they carry on as they are I suspect it will struggle and just carry on as it is.
  5. I’m in midhurst and I have indeed. It’s mental in there but good fun.
  6. @Shamalthanks for that I can’t seem to find anything on it. May as well give it a go this weekend and see what it’s like now I’m a site orphan. RIP Combat South.
  7. Good afternoon all, Just realised there is a site fairly close to me that I haven’t been to before. Has anyone been to Badlands Airsoft at Rowlands Castle just off the A3 north of Portsmouth? If they have what’s it like?
  8. Got to be honest as much as I love the forum the new couple of lines showing on posts that show on the iPhone are rather annoying as it isn’t needed I personally think. If I don’t want to read that topic why show me what I am not interested in? If I want to view the topic I will based on the topic title. Please can it revert back.
  9. Homage to a scout sniper: KJW M700 as a base, barrel shortened for 430mm inner barrel and a CO2 adaptor for the stock. Just waiting on one connector and will be good to go.
  10. Wiltshire war zone for me. Steep, unrelenting and impeccable players that were always honest as the day is long. But we are going back to around 2003. Plus they pretty much set up Namsoft that Combat South (epic site RiP) continued and took on the baton for.
  11. Finally I have it where I want it. SRS A1 covert, Random foam filled suppressor, Rapax 2J with 1x spacer - 334+-2 fps on Geoffs .43s, Faceless barrel 420mm, 60deg r hop patch and 100% airseal bucking with a FAST hop (perfect air seal) Wasp piston with medium weight and full break and their spring guide, Stock filled with expanding foam, Random Tesco scope on high mounts. All in all very happy now and shooting great already out to 64m (furthest I can get at present) and I’m certain when the hop beds in it will be a real tack driver. Also, as a bonus, it sounds like a good mk23 and has a dull thud when firing so should be almost unheard outside the med. All that’s left is to put some cut up leaf trouser leg strips on it so it really blends in with the vegetation.
  12. @DerDer no I didn’t. But it was only 100 euros so doesn’t breach the limit (as I understand it). Also they paused UK shipping briefly so I suspect they were getting the necessary paperwork sorted and I ended up paying vat at point of sale. All a mystery but no extra charges.
  13. If anyone else wonders it arrived today. So patience is certainly required.

    THE TM MWS thread

If it’s FRV it will be more than adequate for the job. They don’t mess about and know exactly what they are doing.
  15. Surely that’s the equivalent of a well set hop that the afore mentioned noodle has a nice flat trajectory?
  16. Thanks mucca that clarifies it tremendously. I had assume it was twice as long as half of it.....
  17. Thanks gents. Will update when it arrives so others can see if they are as impatient as I am.
  18. All, Just because I’m impatient, I ordered a barrel and some hop accessories from faceless over in Hungary. It states on the tracking it departed the country on the 27th but nothing since then. When can I realistically expect it do those with experience think? Cheers in advance and damn my bored impatience.
  19. I’m certainly keen to try it. When I got it the TNT was already in. At the moment I have put the stock setup back in and tbh I think it’s better than the TNT setup. Can’t prove it to myself for definite as the furthest I can shoot is 64m but it’s flying straight and true. If the faceless barrel is even better I’m looking forward to wielding it properly again. Time will tell.
  20. Thought I would try an old trick to see if an SRS can be made even quieter. Plus I’m bored and waiting on a delivery from sniper upgrades as I want to try the faceless sniper barrel combo with the fast hop to see if I can get better than the TNT setup I currently have.
  21. I would like to add my two pen worth. On ops it’s normal for bandoliers with ten round stripper clips to be used. We used to carry between 4-6 bombed up PMags. Cracking bits of kit they are may I add and if you have buckshee ones always good to trade with team USA. Our reason was easier and lighter for bandoleers with rounds in stripper clips to fit in daysacks etc. Takes seconds to rebomb them. Any decent section will pull one or two back to manage ammo in a good scrap. So it doesn’t really cause issues and ideally only the belt fed weapons are used along with precision strike weapons. More so in the winter tours in all honesty when 5.56 hasn’t the legs. Most of our spare ammo was link with most having at least one 200 round belt of both calibers. Forget that rubbish about breaking down belts. Doesn’t happen in my experience. In the future it’s all about weight saving and speed so less will be more. Less mags and easier access to stripper clips will be more prevalent and that’s being proven by experimentation now. Just my take on things based on my experiences
  22. Noooo absolutely devastated. By far and away my favourite site. Going to be a struggle now to work out where else to go as I love the format of the day, the long games and the staff/organisation.
  23. What’s the spare stock mate? Might be interested in just that if your willing to split.
  24. For the SRS I use the ones from skirmshop. 2 mags and one in the gun. For the hicapa I have just changed from good old issue mtp pouches to some elasticated blue force gear double mag pouch. For the good old grenade it’s either a kydex TRMR holster from HW holsters or if I’m using my timed dynatex it’s a PECOC issued smoke grenade pouch. Hicapa with RMR sits in a cheap nuprol paddle holster. The utility pouch is just a viper one but it only carries a small bag of bbs and two speed loaders for each gun and some blanks. Can post a picture later if your interested.
