PureSilver reacted to Rogerborg in Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Anything online needs a loicence.
https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-and-players/guide/how-to-run-a-lottery-or-fundraiser
People give you money in the expectation of not being sent anything in return. What could possibly go wrong?

They are rare. I've only ever seen one for sale; I bought it and had it modified to 14mm CCW to fit my GHK. Incidentally, I still have the original, unmodified 16mm CW barrel stub from mine - if you want that as a spare, or to put on another AUG or something, just drop me a PM.
It was done by cutting a Hephaestus steel outer barrel down - each bit is full steel, including the gas block.
S, M, XXL
Not sure why I insist on waiting until I'm selling something to take decent pictures of it, but all three bits (the pistol, the light, the holster) of this slice of 2000s Navy SEAL life are sadly for sale.

PureSilver got a reaction from Rogerborg in Why are TM always for sale?
There are a lot of reasons.
TM have an excellent reputation for making reliable, accurate and reasonably affordable guns, so they sell a lot of them new. A lot of new guns sold means a bigger pool of used guns. TM make very reliable guns, so they last a long time. A TM might be resold multiple times when something cheaper was scrapped by its second (or even first!) owner, so again - a bigger pool of used guns. TM make some relatively high-end stuff, especially the NGRS/MWS rifles you're probably talking about. Guns like that are very expensive, so when people don't want them any more they sell them to get the money, rather than forget about them in the loft. A £100 SRC might not be worth the trouble of selling - a £700 Recoil Shock is a different proposition. Expensive guns are also worth repairing when things go wrong, prolonging their lifespan where a cheaper gun that suffered the same failure might have been scrapped. People that can afford to buy high-end stuff can afford to chop and change more frequently. People that can't afford to buy high-end stuff but did so anyway need to sell stuff more frequently. -

I'm definitely a sucker for this.... I'll spend months reviewing something, I'll look up every possible combination of accessories to go with it, eventually buy it, a week later something shiny catches my attention and the process repeats itself... Like an ADHD magpie...

My take:
1. most airsofters are fickle, me included, one minute "x" gun is the best thing since sliced bread, 5 minutes later, there's something new their going gooey eyed over.
2. TM are considered a sound investment & hold their money better than most brands, so when moneys needed quick, you know you'll not lose much flogging it.

You are conflating two entirely different things. His alleged financial success through YT does not negate his many failings as an airsofter and, more importantly, as a human being.
One does need to declare YT income; however, that calculation is deeply flawed as it assumes that the initial number of daily views is maintained over the year.

One repeating factor I see alot in this discussion is when people first started playing Airsoft they watched his videos and that got them into the sport I know he does go for painful areas but another great way to make those areas less painful is to wear proper face protection noone is ever going to leave an Airsoft game happy after being shot in the face unless they have full mesh face pro 😁 he's a fantastic player and shows alot of what's available in the sport and you have to remember these people who slag him off usually aren't as able bodied to play Airsoft properly and so they get annoyed when someone manages to outplay them, not trying to trigger anyone with this just trying to give it a different viewpoint on it

The legal position:
You're 14. It's an offence for you to buy any imitation firearm, realistic or otherwise, or for anyone to sell one to you. The only way you can get one without an offence being committed is to be gifted it. At the point of transfer to you, it doesn't matter if it's realistic or not (because of your age), only that nothing changes hands from you to the person gifting it.
The practical position:
Once a realistic imitation firearm has been sold by a retailer, the State won't take any interest in where it's transferred later, as long as it's used sensibly. If it never gets taken outside to show off to your mates, no problem. If it's taken in a bag, in a private vehicle, to and from an airsoft site, nobody will ever care, and nobody at the site will ask how you got it.
The dad position:
Talk to your parents about owning and using an airsoft gun, and getting to and from sites. Whether you can get a gun, and whether you should get one, is really down to them. I'd repeat the advice to go and play airsoft as a rental at least once before thinking about buying anything. It's a great hobby, but it's not cheap, and YouTube videos can give a false impression of the reality. The classifieds are full of guns that were bought on a whim and then never actually used to play. Don't be that person.

No, definitely not.
But if your friends mum wanted to buy it & then gift it to you, that would be fine, just so long as no money changes hands.
Although, How you show your gratitude to your mates mum is between you two 😏.

Though does have subtitles if you use YouTube

Near eight hundred and fifty euro is a fair chunk of change. Still it's the first GBBR Famas. Also Cybergun needs to get their cut.
Nice to see one of the original airsoft offerings available in a more contemporary offering.
Northeast between their various SMGs and now this, looking forward to seeing what they come up with in the future.

The man is a bell-end of the highest order. The only thing I can recommend absolutely is his Twitter, which is a collection of nuclear hot takes and some of the purest, most concentrated cringe ever to splatter across the face of the internet. Some recent highlights include:
Have you considered forging COVID-19 certificates?
Would you rather have dinner with me, or wear my clothes?
Would you rather date a beautiful woman, or be my simp?
"I think Andrew Tate's a pretty cool guy. Eh traffics women and doesnt afraid of anything."
All of these are just from the last three months, truly amazing. Some more absolute bangers:
My unpopularity is symptomatic of societal decline.
I would like to take this opportunity to not attempt to refute any of these accusations.

I was a member of Phoenix for a year or two and towards the end of my membership there, I met the wank puffin. I spoke to him briefly, having seen a couple of his videos years beforehand, he seemed okay. Then out to the game zone and he was already out on the field dug in before anyone was released from the safe zone. Cue much fuckery throughout the day in terms of him jumping up and down like a Donald Trump type spoiled brat whenever he got hit and, asking marshalls to change the games and such to get better footage, including pausing a game so he could get a better camera angle. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when I was absolutely certain that I had slammed a bb into him centre mass from my sniper and he didn't call it, but, he completely and single handedly ruined the flow of play all day. I met him a second time a few weeks later and his antics were so off the chart, a number of regulars, myself included went on an area denial tasking for the whole afternoon with the intention of just stopping him slotting kids and rentals for lols. His own team let us pass without shooting us because they were all macked off with his shit too! Anyway, needless to say, when it became apparent he either had shares in Phoenix or it was one of the few sites letting him on and he was going to be there a fair bit, I surrendered my membership and went elsewhere.
Some months later, one of the marshalls asked a question on social media asking why people were not playing at Phoenix as much and a fair few answers were "Dicking Buttstain" only to find he came on and verbally abused anyone who had mentioned him.
In short, he's a cunt and a terrible ambassador for the sport and should do the decent thing and fuck off back to his racist porn cave in Essex with much haste.
