  1. This is an airsoft forum.  Not a forum for airguns. They are not compatible.

yeah its a shame the whole topic got blocked, as i could have edited it to suite the forum better, but it was my fault i should have properly read the forum rules more clearly, being a mod myself i understand jedi was only following up on the rules, ill redo the topic today but to suit the forum. :),

Just to explain why the two are incompatible: The laws on RIF purchase for airguns is really far too lax and doesn't - for some reason - have the same check and balances that airsoft has. Many view this is something that could seriously jeopardise airsoft in general (i.e. a blanked ban of all RIFs sort of thing because of some idiot using an air pistol or air rifle who shouldn't have had one). As such we like to keep the two separate.

proffink, no problem at all, and thank you for your explanation..

To be honest with things like this i do think its down to personal opinion, i have been shooting airguns many years, since i was a kid and i dont particularly feel that the purchase of airguns is too lax, but i would not mind them being restricted more either.. So i totally get your point, but to be honest, none responsible people or idi*ts will do the same silly things with airsoft too and no matter what and theres ways of getting hold of things not just in shops, i am a strong believer that 'any' hobby/sport should not be penalised for the action of a few individuals, or most things would be banned..but on another note i would also be happy if they were to licence airguns or all RIF's, but thats a can of worms isn't it, but i belong to firearms clubs so things like that dont bother me, if your not doing nothing wrong you dont have to worry about nothing i say..

But i totally understand and respect the forums decision to not allow airguns on it so i will never post anything airgun related again. :)

      All the best, marc..
