  1. I would give the ssg a full disassemble an clean/inspection. Replacing all damaged parts and then reassemble first. Take your time and watch novritsch videos on how to disassemble /reassemble.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally 2-toned. Saying that if he did state this the price would probably jump up by £20-50.
  3. Try googling "playairsoft". It's got the answer you're looking for.
  4. I'm still after that shooters belt if it is available?
  5. Great story. All you need to do is move it to the subsection of the forum for sites.
  6. If only.... BMI/health check tax bands. Reward those who try, not those who fry.
  7. I'm in Cumbria so after trying NSC (I was working in Alnwick for a few months) I really enjoyed that site but I'm back in the lakes now so dirtydog was my closest that's open on a Sunday. Try out NSC if you're north of Newcastle and don't mind woodland. I'm going to try all arms and adrenaline airsoft next. You should still go and try dirtydog for yourself, I'd never try to deter anyone from going even though I've had a bad experience. You might go on a "good day" and love it.
  8. My day at dirtydog in Shildon (NE England). I need to point out that I hate moaning about sites & players but this place became too much for me, or in a word..shit. Cheating players everywhere. The Marshall brief was below par when compared to other sites. - also worth noting that for the amount of players attending there was not enough Marshall to instil discipline and keep watch on the non hit takers. I accidentally shot some poor chap in the grid (he only had his head on display) on full auto from 30m away as I thought I was in an area which I was allowed to do so. However "the Village" spans well beyond the buildings that make up the village and even up the far embankments (which in an early game full auto was permitted) so I was confused but apologised immediately to the other player, twice just incase he didn't hear me. Then some muppet threw a mk5 at me from 15 m away, I saw it mid flight and ran back 5 m then slid approx 10m down the steep embankment and once it detonated I shouted "no kills". The other player shouted " bushes don't count as hard cover", I said "does 15m down an embankment count" sarcastically and he said "no". I continued playing and shot him but he didn't call his hit so I walked away and attacked another part of the village. I reported the cheating twats to a Marshall but he seemed uninterested to deal with it. I would have happily accepted a ban over a time period for full auto'ing that guy even though the rules were vague at best I felt shit once he called for it. I called my hits, I complied with MED's and all other rules through the day but others couldn't which pissed me off. The search continues for a decent site that's not 2hrs+ away. RANT CLOSED
  9. Very disappointed. The majority of the players were in God mode, especially the local teams. The marshals briefing was OK but very vague, especially for new players who don't know the site layout. It became frustrating to play and I became angry so I packed my stuff up and left immediately.
  10. Erm... No... I wasn't aware that I would need one? Its shooting great without it but il try to get one of those nubs and thanks for the information.
  11. Update: Test shots provided me with confidence that even without upgrading it would be capable of tight groups. But... I bought a zci barrel and maple leaf macaron bucking from ak2m4 on here, fitting them took 10 mins including cleaning up the inner barrel prior to installation. The results are better than stock (back garden tests) however I will have to wait until tomorrow to see the real difference at its first gameday at dirtydog airsoft (never played here before so im hoping for good things). 332-335 on 0.20bb (20 test shots) If it's dire then il have the Ssg10 A3 & mk23 to play with instead.
  12. Best memory : Everytime I shot a player who's been on a God mode rampage either on the head, ass or hand. (3rnd burst, just to be sure) I hope this year to make new memories that surpass the above.
  13. Hi, is the shooter's belt still available? Il take it if so.
  14. I'm in the same position. I have a helikon tmr which is great but limited to 4x556 mags so I'm having to research a shooter belt setup to accommodate my other mags and "lightweight" kit.
  15. Im going to buy thoso s&s ones. Lozart - Yes I should have called uk tactical. Even though I explained that I bought the a-tacs ix dcs as used (now discontinued) it never came with pull tabs/bungee and would be happy to pay for new warrior stock. Their response.....
  16. I emailed uk tactical already but so far had no response. Il take a look for the s&s kit plus what druid has recommended. I'm not after multi clam colours, either od, rg or tan will be a good fit. Thanks again for everyones help.
  17. Thanks for the idea. The bungee cord itself is readily available from most hardware/surplus stores however trying to find those warrior pull tabs (or any similar to those) is seeming difficult. Again thanks for the ideas but I'm looking to try to find as close as the original pull tabs as possible. If you find any il happily send over monies for them.
  18. I am after 5 x bungees including the tabs for a warrior DCS. Anyone know where I can find them? I can't see them on uk tactical....
  19. All you need is the manufacturers to stop production of more advanced parts /equipment... Which will never happen. Groot, enjoy the honeymoon period of you and your collection and let's hope you're right.
  20. I made two separate orders with novritsch in at the end of June, both over the £135 threshold and both didn't arrive within the first week but the first parcel that came via DHL arrived within 3 weeks and the other which was with UPS arrived 3 weeks later. I did make at least 6 phone calls and emails to UPS as this parcel was "lost in transit" for 2 weeks. I contacted novritsch and Jennifer was pretty helpful and she did all the leg work with ups and a few weeks later it arrived. I wouldn't deter in from ordering from them unless I could buy the same items from uk.
  21. New arrivals. G&G sr15 e3 mod2 knights armament and Novritsch SSG10 A3. The PEQ's 3m velcro adhesive sticker won't adhere on the rubber switch so I'm looking for ways to attach it to the top rail. Just incase the stock barrel and hop aren't up to the job (SR15) I've ordered a barrel and bucking from @ak2m4@ak2m4.
  22. Don't want to go off topic too much but have nuprol recently done something wrong? Yeah, alot of their stuff is a bit Chad valley and I'd avoid their guns.
  23. buy this -> https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/g-and-g-armament-combat-machine-cm16-r8-l (I just used this shop as example, I'm not biased on retailers) fit this -> https://www.bztactical.co.uk/asg-madbull-black-python-v2-6-03-aeg-inner-barrel-229mm-8037 (again, I just used this shop as example, I'm not biased on retailers) It may not have a Mosfet or be full metal but you will not be disappointed with its performance per £. I can only speak from my experiences and my r8-l still works as well as it did on day one (5+ yrs ago). I reckon its the best beginner/intermediate gun that bridges that gap before you go into the more advanced/expensive options.. Take the advice offered by the other members as they all equate to a tonne of knowledge and experience and whatever you decide to go for, have fun.
  24. @Rogerborg tightrope walker. You do know those dodgy ads in general chat are actually just OFCOMS way of checking in to see who's been a good/bad boy...
  25. I'm a mix when it comes to my wearable kit. I try to keep to the "norm" but I modify alot of it as we're not in real combat so some protective parts are binned to save weight /increase my movement. Most milsim (yet to actually do one) request for a certain uniform and type of dress which is annoying but il get over it (it's a military simulation after all). So depends on the site I play at but I'm a sheep when it comes to the clothing. Multicam y fronts... The lot. I only buy something new when I feel my current item is on the fringes of its lifespan or before it doesn't work as it has done for x amount of years. I try not to sell my old kit if I can but if there is demand then... I don't collect airsoft guns I use them for their intended purpose. Summary: if its not working then try something new and keep the old stuff to go back to/reflect on when doing comparisons and don't be shy to be both a sheep or a pioneer.
