60mtr range usually takes some work to get. 40-50 mtr is the Norm. You'd have to do some serious work on the hop up to get more and use heavier bbs.

Look into flat hop and r hop if you're serious about range. Flat hop is easier to do but you'll have to change the bucking more often.

I recommend either a g&g combat machine as a starter gun around £130 OR Jg g36c around the same. Depends on what style you like.

All you have to do to get ukara is play 3 games in no less than 2 months. Shouldn't cost you anything except for the price of the skirmishes which you would do anyway. You can always get a two tone and then paint it a proper colour once you get ukara anyway. After a while you won't want to be rocking a two tone.

I was going to go on my own initially when I started. But I put a message up on here offering lifts for anyone that can't get to a game site. nickh messaged me and we've been going ever since. Formed a team with a few other new players we've met along the way. I have been to a few games on my own when my team can't make it and enjoy it just as much playing on my own as always get talking to other people about their kit.

Upgrades come with experience. Have you skirmished with your m4 yet? If not don't upgrade anything until you know how it performs out on the field. Fps limit for most sites is 350 so wouldnt recommend a stronger spring. Common upgrades are a tight bore barrel, Buckings, nubs, new motor, angle of engagement etc there's lots but you need a bit more experience before doing any of these.

Welcome Pandaman. There's some really good sites local to you. There's a new cqb site in Gloucester called strikeforce. You pay £30 walk on for a Sunday there and £20 to hire a gun until you can get your own gun once you've got Ukara. If you go a bit further down the m5 there's Black ops cribbs, which is an ex army base. And then there's Spartan near Bristol airport which is a Woodland site and my personal favourite.

I have a g&g l85 but I'd imagine same concept. I use a 7.4 lipo nunchuck style. I've put one side under the barrel and one on top and then taped it to the barrel. I also removed the fake gas tube.

I go with a mesh lower the one with two straps at the back and fan assisted goggles along with a fast helmet. I use to wear just goggles and a cap but I really don't like being shot in the face. Once got concussion from a sniper shot god knows what weight he was using.

Welcome Yeti. I'm in the sa80 owners club as well. I have the g&g l85. Just ordered my mtp shirt, trousers and ubacs this evening so going with the current British forces look. In terms of upgrades I'd leave it as it is but recommend getting a Daniel defence rail and acog with riser for it. Maybe get a tight bore. The magic box miracle barrels are pretty good. Prefer them to madbull.

I had that same motor in my L85. Pretty poor rof if I'm honest. I replaced it with a lonex a2 which kicks arse and doubled the rate of fire. Cost me about £50.

They would stop a bb yes however you need a full face mask. Sites won't let under 18s play without them. Due to insurance.

Yeah that's fine gifting a RIF but remember the person gifting it to you has to have Ukara or some form of defence to be able to buy a RIF.

It's not just the safest option for you its the only option as you're under 18.

Should be a standard m4 hop unit so I'd go with a prowin. They are about 20quid on ebay. Got 1 in my L85.

Only changes to your hop up and to some extent a barrel change will increase range.

Yeah I've tried to do it with a z kit and I failed completely with it. So I'm sticking with flat hops at the moment which seems to be giving pretty good results. Obviously not as good as R hop but still pretty good.
