      I know that sounds mean, but I've done nothing wrong at all, treated her like a princess and gave her everything, and this was my reward, so I feel entirely justified in doing it

    Good Russian or German War films that have English subtitles? I'm learning both languages and watching films seems to help me. Have watched 9th Company, The black Book, Generation War and Siberian Education.

      Not really a war film, unless you count the Cold War, but worth a look is 72 Metpa (72 metres) about a submarine crew trapped under the sea after their modern diesel sub hits an old WW2 mine. It's a very 'Russian' film, so not everyone will get the point of it, or much of the humour, but if you do, then it's worth it. Nice soundtrack too.

      Yup, but the Serbs were supported by the Russians in that war, so it kind of fits the bill, i.e. Russian equipment etc

      Might want to check out 'Pretty village, pretty flame', which is a Serbian movie. You can actually find it on youtube, the quality is not great, but is watchable and has subtitles. It's a good film, worth watching.

    Receivers scratch more easily than I thought... After a few hours and the Noveske MUR's paint has been scratched off a bit at the edges and some dents as well; not as well built as I thought

      Well there is that, but that lack of armour did make it very hard to get behind so you actually could make it explode, at least until about 1943 anyway.

      It is 6061 alloy, often used for making beer cans; the Noveske is 7075 alloy, developed by the Japanese for engine bearer and wing spar in the WW2 Mitsubishi A6M Zero.

    TM Springer Glock 26 or Galaxy g21 or Spring Beretta m9? Which one, do you think, would show more about airsoft to my parents? Also, anyone with experiance performance wise? Thanks for help so far, getting close :D

      The G21 is probably the best of the bunch. The P38 is an historic pistol, an aspect of airsoft which interests many, so it's more about 'an interest' than about looking cool, which is a good point for you to argue.

      Yeah, but that's going to make his parents think: 'well there's no harm it this airsoft malarkey is there if that's what one of those Tokyo Marui Glocks that everyone bangs on about can do, you couldn't kill a fly with that thing!' Of course he doesn't need to tell them it's a completely different TM Glock everyone raves about :-)

      It's not gonna duke it out with a Gas Blowback Desert Eagle, but it's comparatively harmless qualities may be a suitable thin end of a wedge to parental resistance. James is obviously keen and clearly not a 'wot gunz r gud?' type, so anything to help him is worth a go.

      I've used them on the stairs at Trojan dual wielded, where you absolutely do need a pistol, or two. They do okay since they are semi-automatic. The range/ accuracy is a non issue engaging on a stairwell, especially when blatting away with two of them lol. The only problem really is the fps is low. Not a bad thing for whoever you are shooting at, but potentially means they don't feel a hit.

    I know I thought about it ages ago but would anyone still be interested in the 'Y u no take hits' patches? Still would need to decide on size (3x3"?) and colours etc. Also not sure how I'd make the design. Could put in an order if enough people would like one

      One undeniably nice thing about the TM Gindans of course, is that they have all the proper trademarks on them, so they do make quite nice wallhangers.

      It's true the TM gindan doesn't shoot far, but we are trying to persuade his mum that it's not some kind of weapon of mass destruction lol. She will know that when she sees it's only good for back garden plinking.

      Reason to get one? Because you want one, because you can use it for target practice, which is fun, because it gets you out of the house, because it teaches you to be responsible, because you can stave off a zombie attack etc.

      They are only 13 quid. They shoot at about 150 fps with .12 BBs and they are semi auto, which is bizarre for a springer. Other than that, the little metal Galaxy P26 is good, does about 250 fps and is about 20 quid:
