Hey guys, Here is a Dye i4 pro mask in blue. Been used in 1 CQB game day. Bought to get into playing CQB but I’m more of a woodland player. Unfortunately I threw away the original box and paperwork so it’s just the mask and mask bag. Looking to get £95, postage and fees included Thanks for looking!£95

Mine doesn't have the red board thing in the stock tube, I think the thing has been changed to a gate version or something 🤷🏼♂️

If it looks like the stop on empty function then it might be worth checking anyway. That's got a small spring on it if memory serves and if it's not been put back together right (or even tightened up too much) perhaps the cutover is just being subject to the whims of vibration rather than functioning correctly.

Did you happen to try Buckfast while you were in Scotland, it's like a combination of Vimto, Irn Bru and some sort of deweaponised plutonium.... -

You could probably do this yourself. Like Skara said, it's highly likely to be the ETU/MOSFET which is very easy to change. If I remember rightly it's in the PDW stock tube thing, should be a little board (red I think?) and it's got some spade connectors at the end. The ETU++ is £44 from AK2M4. I've had two of these ETUs fail on me - one in a ARP556 and another in L85. Both were fixed by using the Perun ETU++.

Making a cheap fast helmet comfy.

I second this. I have a lot of hair, So I'm usually running a MICH2000 style helmet, But if I am running my fast helmet, The pads are very useful for spacing it so it's comfy, And good harness straps are a must if you're wearing it for a while at a time. -
So, I had a look at this the other day, and possibly narrowed it down a bit. The rif shoots sweet for about 20-30 rounds, then stops firing, I thought initially that it was a power/gearbox issue….. But firing it , it’s acting like it is stopping firing on empty… So I take the mag out, put it back in, and hit the “bolt release” and it fires away like nothing is wrong for another 20-30 shots When I take the mag out, it’s feeding fine (a few beebs fall out of the hop unit) and the rest of the mags beebs are still under pressure , ready to feed Whilst I had the receivers split apart, I disassembled the hop unit to clean it and the rubber, could the rubber have moved causing an issue , when it was back together it fired like nothing is wrong issue, but I just feel that’s not sorted it. Could I be experiencing some sort of “Midcap Syndrome”? I doubt the mechanism that is lifted by the mags lever to activate the stop on empty function could be the cause of it, but that’s what the symptoms suggest 🤷🏻♂️

Any techs on here close by to Nottingham/Derby area? Or would let me post my ARP9 out to them so they could try figure out the issue im having with it?

I think I see what you're getting at - in a specific gun the joules at the muzzle will be roughly similar for different weights of ammo. The problem is that some people will lie about what weight they're firing. In your given example if someone says they're firing 0.2g and the chrono measures 340fps then the gun will pass chrono, if they're actually firing 0.28+ then they have effectively cheated the chrono and are in fact firing at MORE than the limit. The chrono cannot detect the weight so the operator has to go on trust that what you SAY your are using is what you are ACTUALLY using. -

As the challenged party, I claim choice of weapons. My preferred weapons are blancmanges thrown at each other from baskets suspended from hot air balloons. You must be a haggis shagger in disguise. -
If the original poster is still active that's a valid question to ask. people are bad at follow up. If the OP hasn't been on line since the day the question was asked yeah dead end!

That depends - if the joules don’t change the velocity also does not change The joules as per the muzzle velocity is different from the energy imparted in the chamber based on many physics things happening along the barrel The energy imparted onto a BB in the chamber remains the same irrespective of the BB (or actually it might, because force has to be exerted to begin the momentum and a heavier BB will resist more than a lighter BB) It accelerates down the barrel, and depending on the internal barrel size vs the BBs actual size could theoretically float on air, but will have friction or bounce around in the barrel, and also get some friction from the hop up before escaping into the open air These various factors are generally called joule creep when a heavier BB does not come out at the ‘right’ slower velocity to match the equivalent energy. The combination of different configurations / efficiency Joules do change - which is of course the whole argument over with regards to chrono checking After leaving the barrel different BBs and different RIF configurations can result in different performance in flight with some losing monentum gradually, some going further, some flying almost perfectly then suddenly dropping when losing backspin. -
