Only exception IME is some zestier blowback setups, but even then they don't track to how real firearms recoil. (Zero muzzle flip, and are typically tuned to just throw the reciprocating mass back hard). Hell you can go as far as Koreans custom-machining tungsten parts with 600PSI input pressure to create something that rattles more than a real AR. (Mostly due to the complete lack of locking mechanism and just generally idiotic design). Plus you can make Airsoft guns as heavy or heavier than real ones, but it'll cost you.

The marksmanship principles do translate directly into airsoft, just probably not in the way you imagine. Having the rifle butt in the shoulder is irrelevant - and not something that is dictated by the marksmanship principles. Indeed there are plenty of RS techniques that don't demand this, yet meet the principles for any particular application. With guns that are generally much lighter than the RS equivalent, and recoil that is non existent to negligible, the first two principles can be achieved rather easily, and without particular reference to more traditional positioning. The third principle (sight alignment) is clearly fundamental, but the fourth principle (shot release) is largely irrelevant, unless the gun is really being wildly waved around by the trigger pull. Factoring in the generally short airsoft ranges + inherent wild inaccuracy of our platform, fast trigger pulls will generally be better practice than a slow deliberate follow through after a shot - perhaps the exception being using a very well set up sniper rifle at the extremities of its range....

For sale, WE L85a2/SA80 gas blowback rifle. Beast of a rifle, very realistic, body is steel and everything else that should be is metal. Fires perfectly in both modes, locks on empty. Has RA-Tech NPAS fitted in nozzle. It is missing one body pin, this locks the inner barrel to lower receiver, however has no effect on function (can be replaced for $8 from KYairsoft). The plastic furniture was blue at some point, I have lightly dusted over it OD to remove any remains. £275 posted, or collection from Swindon£275

That rather depends on whether or not it is your kink.

I third it; the Merf is awful.

Eotech XPS3-0 on a Unity absolute riser, bringing it up to 2.26″ to Optical Centerline, brought the wrong riser for the xps at first so selling together to save someone else the trouble, looking for £580, used once, few marks one side due to rubbing up against another gun in the locker otherwise perfect. Best passive aiming under NODS set up available I would say.£580

You are not going to get a good answer, no one has done any sort of noise comparison of a wide range of stock AEGs (or any that I can find). Even a custom build gun is going to make a minimum of difference to that actually decibel level from a gun. Mods will change things like pitch a frequency so the sound may not travel as far.

I know Colin's very fond of the ASG, I'm also very fond of the VFC Glocks, and just bought CO2 mags to go in them. Upgrades are plentiful, and just a barrel + bucking will give you a good improvement for very little money. Running an 18c full-auto on CO2 is great fun! Other than that i have a CO2 KWC/Umarex USP which i really like but there are no off the shelf upgrades and the trigger bar is a well-known weak point. Shoots really well and a strong sharp kick. -
Suppressors do work very well on hpa/gas non-blowbacks where theres minimal action noise.

Regrettable sale due to redundancy. This gun is amazing, it's fired less than 500 bb's. Comes with an RA-Tech npas. Original box, 5 TM MWS mags which all work perfectly, Victoptics 1-6 LPVO. No splits or swaps. Collection preferred due to weight (Dorset area) but can post at buyers expense and risk, I only use PF24.£750

Talk me into/out of buying a novritsch pistol

A chap at our local site had one of the new SSP28s, with the little nov folding stock attached the other week, and let me have a go. To be fair, very impressive. Doesn't really do anything that the AAP can't do of course - but then 90% of my collection of guns doesn't do anything meaningfully different from the first 10% that I acquired. But that's not really the point is it! I've only got a couple of Novritsch items - an SSX 303, and one of the goggle fan things. Both are good bits of kit, that have been well thought out. Not spectacular, but good. -

Nov pistols are perfect for someone who wants a KJW pistol and has spare money to donate to an Austrian Youtuber in need. -
Did they do anything good?
