Parents buying RIFs for under 18's who play regularly.

12 January 2017 - 02:43 PM

Had a discussion on facebook with a 17 year old who was saying his local shop have sold him RIF's "legally" by selling them to his parents who gift them to him. As he plays regularly at their site and know him they consider that to be a legal defence.

His parents do not play Airsoft.

This store have got it wrong haven't they, or are they ok?!

I can see the logic in their thinking, they aren't selling to an under 18 and they know its going to be used for Airsoft, however I don't think the rules work like that do they?

What to do with Lipos after a days skirmishing ?

25 September 2016 - 05:38 PM

So Ive just got back from a great day with my new Krytac.

One battery lasted all day so I now have a partially used battery and a fully charged battery.

Ive read that you shouldnt store a fully charged lipo so what do people normally do? My charger is a VTE 600 charger and I cant see any option on there to drain the battery. So other than go out and shoot the gun on full auto for a long period I'm not sure what to do?

AEG Magazine first use

22 September 2016 - 07:33 PM

Bought a number of new midcaps for my rifle.

Understand to break them in right you need to use some silicone oil , fire a small number of bbs, then increase incrementally to a full magazine.

What silcone oil is best, has it got to be specific to airsoft, like Abbey, or is something like WD40 useable? (just read thats a no no)

First gun, evolving plans.

09 September 2016 - 06:31 AM

So been shooting for over a month now at the range and didour first skirmish last week.

When I started out I planned on getting a CM16 Raider, a good solid starter rifle.

Why is it though when I want to buy something whether its a PC, a TV or anything, I start off with a reasonable budget and then slowly creep up to something higher and end up paying much more?

I rejected the CM16 in the end as wanted an all metal gun so then started looking at those sub £200. I intended to then spend up to £200 for Gun and battery etc. However the G&G Intermediate range caught my eye and I really like the look of the G&G Predator, and thats the one Ive been planning on for the past couple of weeks. So thats £260 +battery

However, now Ive started looking at the Krytac Trident CRB Mk2 and may well placing a pre-order today on one, so now up to £329 + accessories!

Whilst the Krytac is obviously the better gun I  still do prefer the actual look of the Predator though, and no Im not going to get the Krytac version, I don't think their one looks as good and my budget has finally found its limit  :)

If I do get the Krytac I really want to change that stock at some point, and the pistol grip isn't nice looking either.

If you were going to buy a pair of these Gloves would you choose the blue?

Not sure the blue ones are as tacticool as the others?
