Supporters Finius Posted May 8, 2012 Author Supporters Posted May 8, 2012 Started working on my kitlist for this one event...Gonna be poor forever... Anyone who's been before got any advice re:food? I was gonna take rat-packs cause I actually quite like a couple of the menus, but at £30 for the whole weekends supply, I'm wondering if I'd be as well to buy hot food there and just take random crap to munch on?
Tariq Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 rat packs??? Take lots of meat and chuck it on a disposable BBQ + Snacks etc.
Cam-the-airsoft-sniper Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I really want to go now. But for some reason the parents dont like the idea of me sleeping in a tent alone. And they think I cant feed myself. So it isnt happening.

Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted May 21, 2012 Supporters Posted May 21, 2012 Since it's so ruddy far away, I'm planning on setting off at a normal time on Friday morning and aiming to get there at some point in the afternoon/early evening.
craig Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 i should be there around 4 or so since my travel plans are get bus go to town get second bus go to newry get third bus go to dublin get flight to london get forth bus to ringwood and then walk the rest of the way and getting back is the same - i didnt even travel this much when i was in the army
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted May 21, 2012 Supporters Posted May 21, 2012 Just out of interest, how much dosh are people taking with them? Let's take transport there and back out of the equation and also remove any ideas of what you're planning to pick up from the stalls. So it's £85 for the ticket to get in, then there's food and ammo on site, gas etc etc. I'm planning on taking about £200 to cover my ticket, food and ammo and if I can, I'll try and have some of that left over at the end as well. I'm not planning on buying anything other than consumables. Think I'll get by with £200?
Supporters M_P Posted May 21, 2012 Supporters Posted May 21, 2012 Ill be taking at least £130, but then ill be bringing food, not buying it there. Ill be getting there earlyish Friday evening.
craig Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 i was thinking around 100 or 150 for food ammo and travel but it depends on how much junk you plan on buying
joshcowin Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 i went with 60 and that was about right and craig you going on national express to ringwood
the_robbo Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 The kit list is completed by about twenty of us. Cash wise, enough for whatever is left on entry fees after deposit plus about £30 for lunchesand dominos on Saturday night. Breakfast, Friday dinner and beers bringing with. Credit card for the Zero One tent. Get there about 0930. Tents up by 1030 then tunes and beer!
