ParcelForce48 is the only postage service that officially take RIFs

https://send.parcelforce.com/

Typically its around £12 for a boxed rifle

DPD/DPD Local delivers guns from Patrolbase/High Pressure Airsoft, UPS delivers guns from Defcon and can be used as a return, too.

I'd assume there is more than just parcelforce who takes rifs. Unless they have some sort of contract between them I'd be suprised if you can't use their services as a private customer.

Those are really only for retail sales and don't officially take RIFs from the public

PF48 is the only way Royal Mail will knowingly send a rif

They will NOT insure anything that is gnu shaped

So additional insurance is a waste of the seller/senders money

Couriers tend to be more flexible for businesses and will carry items that they normally won't touch for Joe Public

Here are the requesirements when sending a RIF through ParcelForce48

Low-powered air weapons as defined by the act (air rifles, air guns and air pistols), together with lead pellets and other airgun and airsoft projectiles, can be sent but are subject to the following conditions:

  • These items must be sent on an express48 service only
  • They must be sent via the Post Office only
  • They must be presented at the counter and enhanced compensation is not available.

I belive the limit for low powered air is 700fps

The limit is expressed in ‘force’ / energy

Low powered air weapons are to be within 12ft lbs for rifles, 6 ft lbs for pistols

(16 and 8 joules)

The specifics rifle to pistol may not always be what we think, and the specific projectile fired can result in different muzzle velocity & joule creep

Low powered air weapons.  They explicitly prohibit replicas.  Be careful, now, what you list it as.

Or... just use whatever courier is cheapest. Do they really care, if it's within the UK?  I've sent RIFs with (I think) DPD and Evri without issues. BBGnuz4less will only pay Evri costs

Yes they probably do care, Please don't suggest using services other than PF48, just because you sent things with DPD and Evri and it went fine doesn't mean that will happen for everyone and god forbid they listen to you and something goes wrong and their package gets destroyed

Plus BBGunz4less probably has a business account
