Royal London Chest Hospital, Bethnal Green. Anyone know if this has been investigated and already dismissed as a temporary airsoft site?

The Royal London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green has been empty since 2015, waiting for redevelopment.  Pretty cool location and looks like it would make a decent, albeit temporary CQB site.  I wonder if anyone's already looked into it.

As there's apparently planning already in place for development, unlikely it would be available to play in for very long, plus the architecture is probably listed, which punts repair costs through the roof, can't see them wanting to let a bunch of hairy arsed adrenaline fuelled Airsofters loose in there for fear something gets damaged.

But yeah, would make a great site 🤔 (based on looks alone)

Glass to break

Hard smooth slippery floors to fall over on

Stairs to trip

Bannisters to fall over

Equipment

Light fittings for dickheads to shootup

Corridors to form bottlenecks

Rooms with single entry

You want to be able to condemn elements of infrastructure to allow its destruction, breaking holes through walls etc - without it collapsing

Remove glass, board it up or at least cover it in vinyl etc

….. and have enough of a time frame to use it before it’s developed

Then open as a business and take on the rates bill - unless a developer is committed to holding the property & underwrite paying the rates with a willingness to let a business come in for the rent income

Take a stiff drink before asking for insurance quotes

Ucap had the use of the Kingston victorian prison in Portsmouth.

That was listed and awaiting development for prestigious apartments. We had it for approximately a year. It was a bit of a mess but as everything was built to withstand the wrath of 'wrongly accused'murdering maniacs,we didn't do much damage with our plastic balls 😄😄.

I think a hospital would be just what the doctor ordered. 😉

Exactly, bit of a difference between a hard as nails Victorian prison that looks like a medieval fortress & a london hospital built by the wealthy gentry, presumably to cater for their well heeled brethren.

But yeah, it's a shame no one can find a similar derelict location on a large scale, far enough from anything to be of interest to developers, feck all seems safe from the greedy bastards.
