MilesR97
I’ve just received my tm mp5a5 ngrs and the magazines seem quite difficult to put in and after loading them around 20-30 times they’ve slightly worn away at the side. can anyone confirm this is normal or not? cheers Edited June 6, 2022 by MilesR97 JimFromHorsham

Supporters TheFull9 Posted June 6, 2022 Supporters Share Posted June 6, 2022 Not to be funny but what would another one achieve? It's the design. For now all I can do is press the mag catch lever as the mag is going in, if it's as common as I suspect an update or aftermarket fix will come. I didnt realise this was a really common problem and thought mine was faulty, but it seems its fairly normal, sorry.
Supporters TheFull9 Posted June 6, 2022 Supporters Share Posted June 6, 2022 Nothing to apologise about mate lol, but if there's 2 people in just this small thread it's probably common and a design flaw; someone else will now say they don't have it but I'd bet this issue will show up a lot as the guns get more prevalent and get used over the next year or so. That's airsoft, unfortunately it's a niche tinkerers' hobby, and sure you have the same consumer rights as with anything, but you'd just waste your own time getting repeated returns quite likely. Sometimes you've gotta bite the bullet in this game.

The wear you are seeing would likely be 10times worse with a loose fitting rattletastic edition. Try a wipe over inside the magwell and the tops of the mags with some easyglide silicone spray , the key here is wipe .. dont spray it directly into or onto , just a little on a cloth . Hatchet
Managed the spring upgrade on mine to an Eagle 6 M100, also seeing around 340. Wasn't too difficult, just following the video and going slow. I found I didn't need to take it apart quite as much as they did (I didn't take the FCU off or remove the recoil unit). Slightly arsed up putting recoil unit back together, but worked it out in the end. Also seemed a bit fiddly getting the fire selector back in. At least the barrel/hop is accessible without taking the whole lower receiver apart, unlike the original. I didn't though. Testing tomorrow I think... Hey, I tried this today. It won't fit without taking a bit from the insides. Personally not a fan of the quality, in my case the button for the light has shady contacts which makes it more of a strobe than anything else. Returning it. Unfortunately all torch grips on the market require some modification to be "useable" I wasnt massively impressed with the quality of the VFC torchgrip I've got but its 10% of the price of a RS surefire grip
Hatchet
I'm still waiting in the hopes that TM will release one. If they do the same job as they have on the polymer on the gun it should be good. Mind you, I'm still hoping they'll release some more mags, so...

It’s just sat here doing nothing at the moment , if you figure something out then do it twice and let me buy one and if you don’t then just pop it back in the post . offers there if it may be of help
