Dreadnought
Hello everyone Picked up a cyma cm.048m recently and looking to get a battery for it, one it comes with is obviously rubbish as is all freebies, My battery is in the rear stock so i think i need a block style battery. I think the gun can handle a 7.4v lipo or a 9.6v nimh Any advice is appreciated, cheers guys!
GAMBLE
Hey! 👋 An AK Guy! 🔫😎 I have to 2 AK’s, both E&L: AKM AKS-74U I run both guns on 7.4V, I can run both on higher batteries depends on what gear box your AK can take? In my opinion a 7.4V, is always a safe starting battery, hope this helps! 🤔 💷GAMBLE💷
Skara
I'd run a 7.4v LiPo, in terms of output it sits between 8.4v and 9.6v NiMh batteries, comes with its own set of issues but sure as hell it shadows them NiCd/NiMh ones in terms of reliability and performance. Just make sure you get a dedicated charger
Supporters Rogerborg Posted October 10, 2019 Supporters Share Posted October 10, 2019 https://hobbyking.com/ list battery sizes (and you can filter by size) so just measure up the stock battery and find one to match. +1 to 7.4V lipo unless you have a specific reason to get something else like you're a moderator here and your ball busting missus won't let you have dangerous lipos in the house except in her mobile phone that she's always swiping right on for some reason. Musica
I use https://hobbyking.com/en_us/imax-b6ac-v2-professional-balance-charger-discharger-uk-plug.html because it has an inbuilt PSU but the turnigy ones are good too (better probably) supply your own PSU https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-accucel-6-80w-10a-balancer-charger-lihv-capable.html Honestly tho other than the cheap batteries at hobby king the prices at component shop aren't outrageous and they sell a PSU/charger combo and are UK based. https://www.componentshop.co.uk/accucel-6-digital-charger-with-5a-power-supply.html You need to consider what connector your battery uses. I got this adaptor https://www.componentshop.co.uk/female-mini-tamiya-to-deans-male-charger-adapter.html as my B6AC only comes with a deans lead as standard and while that is fine for people who have converted all their kit over to the superior connector if your gun takes mini tamiya like 90% of stock guns do then you won't be able to charge them without an adaptor. Don't even get me started to the reverse polarity in airsoft it still confuses the hell out of me but that adaptor I use reverses the cables for me so I don't need to think about it. EDcase
Also worth checking VapexTech as they have some sizes that HobbyKing don't have

I wasted that much or more on cheap vendor trash before I saw the B6 light.
Sawyer
Make sure you get a genuine b6ac! I had a fake one for a while, I actually got from a very well know and reputable airsoft retailer. It was pants. You can confirm it on the skyrc website, using the code on the box or charger.
