E21A
Thought I’d revive this thread as I’ve had some time/money to get back into this. Trying out a couple of different ideas on my trusty TM practice frame

Supporters Rogerborg Posted October 29, 2019 Supporters Share Posted October 29, 2019 I see it too. Mind you, some people look at this and (legit) see a swastika.

E21A
Trying out some different tips/teqniques for the basic dot stipple. Nice comparison with the original, much more aggressive grip and better looking I think. Also built up the frame I did a few days ago. Resonantly happy with it, but have ordered some tools to hopefully give cleaner boarders.

E21A
Sunburst frame fitted up to a full gun, along side another just finished in basket weave pattern. Ignore the mag release on the sunburst, haven’t got round to making the WE/TM hybrid mag catch yet.

Mostly Retired Moderators L3wisD Posted February 11, 2020 Mostly Retired Moderators Share Posted February 11, 2020 This looks awesome @E21A! Thread needs to be re-titled "E21A's Stipplin' Workshop" !
emilianoksa
Some very nice work. Are you using a soldering iron or wood burner? Where do you get your tips from? I'm partial to the conventional very small dot stippling myself, and have been thinking of giving it a go, so advice on tools would be much appreciated. I’m using a wood burner with tips from OT defence. Small dot can be easily done with a soldering iron though. The actual stippling isn’t really too difficult,(depending on pattern), it’s the prep work that’s the hard bit.

I wasn't anticipating preparation being a problem, since the grip I want to do is smooth and ready for stippling. https://www.mlemart.com/uac-sculptor-grip-plastic-for-tokyo-marui-hi-capa-series-black/ Grips like this with a smooth surface don't need sanding down. Is there something I am missing? Thanks again.

Having said that if you’re not bothered by that then yea, it’ll be an easy job

E21A
As a couple of people have asked about how it’s done, thought I’d upload a side by side of a prepped frame and a new one.
