Magpul have never made a quadrail handguard

I think he means the stock is magpul, it has a quad rail and foregrip. Rather than saying magpul made the quad rail and foregrip

Realistically, this is worth more like £150-200 tops.

The WE M4 comes with a quad rail as standard, yet he listed it as an attachment, implying its been added when it hasn't. The foregrip is magpul in theory, hence the supposition that he had said everything was.

"Genuine Magpul butt stock, handguard, and fore grip"

To me that means all 3 parts are from magpul so to me he's trying to pull a fast one and deserves all abuse he gets

Edit: fuck it @Chunkysasquatch care to explain yourself?

That's going on the "what grinds your gears" thread.

I've already asked about the handguard. 😅

Ah, wasn't aware it was a magpul foregrip. I retract my previous statement and apologise 🙏

I had seen that before seeing your response here and had wondered if it was related 😂

Upon request, I'm posting this here, less so because of the price and more because of the bizarre way this was dealt with. My post was neither off-topic nor 'significantly non-constructive'. Actually pretty weirded out by the fact that moderators can edit your own posts without your knowledge (only saw that my message had been edited when returning to the post), that seems like quite the violation as I'm sure most of you would agree. The seller only saw the edited message and was understandably confused.

So what did I do wrong? Give fair criticism in a place where both the seller and a potential buyer can judge for themselves? You tell me.

You pissed all over the guys sales post & told him, in your opinion,  he's charging too much, the rules are clear, & your post definitely can be considered non constructive.

Regarding editing your post, it was either delete it, or explain that the only place to critique sales posts is in Macks, i chose the latter, but something tells me you wouldn't be happy with either.

This is just cuckoo

It's a V2, so now completely defunct as spare parts haven't been made for them in nearly 18 months. You can buy a new V3 by importing it from KICBB with shipping and taxes for £275.

Magpul have never made a quadrail handguard, so that's a lie. The amount of wear on the top of the mag is something that doesn't happen on something that is barely used.

Also is very vague on the power output, makes no mention of an NPAS, if it doesn't have one, they output 440fps stock on green gas.

The gubbins added don't add value if the original ones aren't included.

I was going to post this ad but I'm not very familiar with what people would value WEs. Ive owned plenty and know that all M4s even new are not worth £400 without some major improvements (NPAS, steel parts, ect)

The RATech M4 (which for all intents and purposes contains most of the RATech catalogue for WE M4's in one unit, and has a forged 6061 aluminium receiver set, as opposed to the stock diecast Zamac receiver) in my guns list to the side cost £400 with 7 of the M4/MSK Pmags a little over 18 months ago, before the V3's were released. The retail on it when it was new would have been about £1500. WE V2's are essentially defunct and worthless now, so asking the same for a thing with some furniture on it with a single Stanag is a piss take.

Firstly you're exaggerating, by no means did I 'piss all over' his post. I left criticism that referred to other examples for sale at much lesser prices and told him where he can find them. I know this because I had been after a WE SVD for some time, and am now the owner of two of them. My most recent one came with a replica PSO scope, 5 mags, upgraded barrel and hop rubber, posted to me for the £360 asking price. This example had been sat for sale for a month. Perhaps now you can see what motivated me to leave what is inarguably valid criticism of the original £800 asking price of the example in question.

I think it's pretty nuts that you have the ability to edit people's posts without their consent or even notifying them, making no mention of this in 'the rules' that you point to.

Speaking of said rules, I reckon you should have a quick re-read of them.

-Be constructive: 'If you have something to say, PM it to the seller'

Yanno, instead of spending 10 years sniggering about people's posts in this thread without 90% of them knowing lol.

Whilst the way it was done was wrong, the  guy selling is objectively charging too much. Aside from the pisstaking UK retailers, who are definitely not just dropshipping this, honest (DCA/Extreme) The gun + 6 extra mags can be had in the UK for about £740 brand new, or for those willing to import from Taiwan at worst case scenario, £580. These days, it looks like the latter is more likely to be the only option for those quantities, so this seller deems it suitable to jack up the price because of it.

USD to GBP based of at time of typing average conversion of 0.74 GBP to 1 USD.

Alu receiver WE SVD - https://kicbbgun.com.tw/en/pro_05_02.php?id=19870&category=184 - $292.38 USD = £216.14

WE SVD Magazine - https://kicbbgun.com.tw/en/pro_05_02.php?id=19868&category=307 - $ 48.12 USD = £35.57

Shipping for my last few orders of bigger parcels than this would ever be has been $60 USD with EMS = £44.36

So:

Cost for the gun and mags shipped in GBP: 216.14 + (35.57 x 6) + 44.36 = £473.92

Customs charge of 20% taken against whole value inc shipping at point of import: £473.92 x 1.2 = £568.70

Add the Parcelfarce handling fee of £12, resulting total: £580.70.

Or for UK, wait until Bespoke have the gun back in stock again, or will special order it for you:

https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/we-svd-gas-blowback-rifle-plastic-faux-wood £379.99

Plus Z1 to have the mags in stock

https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/WE-GBB-Mag-for-SVD-20rds £60

£379.99 + (£59.99 x 6) = £739.93 (probably another £20 or so for shipping)
