StormAX Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I want to know everyones opinion on the guy who owns and markets these cheap guns. I give him respect for the effort to make a living and survive in these times, but i have to stress that all i hear about from this guy is that his site has some of the most worst guns possible. Whats your take on this guy?
Supporters Monty Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 He's not necessarily ruining airsoft, just making beginner airsofters think that most of the crap he sells is good.
CES_williamson Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 he cares about the money not about the community
Supporters TPI Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 Screw you Monty & you Charlie you beat me to it now i'm gonna have to re-think my answer... EDIT: I Know i'll answer with this The Main JustBBGun's Thread! By the way JAMBWOW/Mark is not the owner of JustBBGuns (Supposedly)
Sam_G Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Really.....another JustBBguns thread. There is a market for cheap guns.....he exploits it. you can buy cheap bb guns from market stalls in most towns. REAL airsofters know to avoid so no real harm done. I'll just sit back and watch as this disends into a slagging match!
Supporters TPI Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 I don't see how it's going to descend into a Shit Slinging match as i think we all agree with the fact he isn't ruining airsoft & he is doing well in his Shady Corner of the market we just wish he'd shove off and not be so misleading with his Stats / END MASSIVE PILE OF SHIT FLINGING
Supporters Richard65 Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 When I first saw the site they just sold two-tones and the video reviews all said what fantastic guns they were - great range/accuracy etc. More recently they have stated selling RIFs and now have a video which says that the cheap two-tones are for fun only - bit of plonking in the back garden and so on. They have also changed their descriptions of the guns - especially the two-tones with rankings showing what they should be used for. A two-tone like the G36 will be shown a ssuitable as a starter gun for skirmishing. I would guess that the move to selling RIFs has convinced them to be more honest about the cheap rubbish guns otherwise an innocent newbie would not spend the best part of £200 for a gun/battery/charger needed for skirmishing. A friend of my son bought a £30 gun and it lasted about 20 shots before breaking but they did finally agree to take it back and give a full refund including postage both ways. Not a seller I would recommend but they do have a range in the shop where you can test before you buy so maybe they are improving?
david0512 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Just bb guns is good for cheap guns for a bit of fun with your mates but not for proper airsoft guns. TBH, most airsofters see it as a no-go site so it's okay.
two_zero Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 He's not necessarily ruining airsoft, just making beginner airsofters think that most of the crap he sells is good. mmh... well he wont ruin airsoft from selling rubbish, we know its rubbish and do not buy from him.... On the other hand, he could very potentially ruin airsoft, if he gets the sport banned by selling to minors.

They major critique has been selling to minors thou. I also heard their repair service is absolute rubbish.
StormAX Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 I had no idea that true Airsofters gave two craps about him . As long as he dosnt ruin the sport by selling guns to kids and then telling them that its good enough to go skirmishing in, then we have a problem.
kev.k Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 He is far from ruining airsoft, the only thing he will ruin is his own business. There are con men and idiots in every industry. UKARA is a bigger threat to airsoft. It prevents the hobby from growing and when something is supported in small numbers, it is easier to ban. The hobby needs to establish itself and become more mainstream to move forward.
StormAX Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 I partially agree with Kev, Although if there wasnt any UKARA to stop the young-lings from getting real steel air rifles and just go out and shoot them about, i bet a accident involving swat teams will happen eventually. i can see the news headline right now " A kid was shot dead today in a accident involving a Airsoft gun and confusing Police into thinking it was a real fire-arm."
Zak Da Mack Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 JUSTBBGUNS ID GREAT AND JAMBWOW IS MY IDOL HOW DARES ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THEM.In all seriousness, their customer service is shocking and so are the guns they sell. Don't buy from them! You'll thank me later

Supporters TPI Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 Airsoft's are not air gun's or as dangerous and kid's get a hold of them much more frequently
adam bussey Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 the thing is air-rifles are easier to get hold of than airsoft guns!
Supporters TPI Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 Not for kids though unless you can buy an Air gun U18 which is New's to me!
two_zero Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 the thing is air-rifles are easier to get hold of than airsoft guns! ...really? check the over 18 box on justbbguns and buy, while as with air rifles, businesses are not allowed to sell them online (I can see why, but it makes it very inconvenient for me to buy air rifles) I partially agree with Kev, Although if there wasnt any UKARA to stop the young-lings from getting real steel air rifles and just go out and shoot them about, i bet a accident involving swat teams will happen eventually. i can see the news headline right now " A kid was shot dead today in a accident involving a Airsoft gun and confusing Police into thinking it was a real fire-arm." UKARA does not stop anyone from getting real steel air rifles. I dont quite see your point? in any case, it's very reasonable for a police to think that something that is made to look like a real gun, is a real gun. Are you mixing up UKARA and VCRA? VCRA prevents people that want to intimidate people with them to get realistic imitation firearms. If you're getting it to plink in your back garden, you can get a plinker that does not look like a real gun (two tone, provided you're 18+) and if you want one because you want to dress up as a solider and play war, you can get one that does look like a real gun.

Supporters TPI Posted May 28, 2013 Supporters Posted May 28, 2013 No it's still easier to get a 2-tone and paint it than go get an Air Gun and leave a Trail for the Police to follow Airsoft IF's you need to be 18+ RIF's you need to be 18+ and able to give the seller a defence Air Gun's 18+? ID something like a Bank statement to purchase IF's an 18+ can Paint Black if they know what paint is that is...

No. It's ukara I have a problem with. I don't see why anyone over 18 can't just buy an airsoft gun like they can a rif air gun. As for 2 tone, again pointless. They would make sense if kids over 13 could buy them, but they can't. I don't see what purpose it all serves. For the type of person who would carry out an armed robbery, it is easier to get a real gun than a airsoft one. For people who say kids shouldn't have them, why? They are toys. When I was a kid I had a black widow catapult, then a diablo, then a gat gun then a rif air pistol. My parents didn't know, and they were easy to buy. No one can tell me it isn't crazy that it isn't legal to sell a toy gun to anyone over 18, but it's ok to sell them a crossbow?
