Hi guys, As most of you know I've been looking for a metal lower receiver for my G&P M16. I am also looking for a upper and lower black nylon receiver for my G&G GR16. Any good ideas on where to pick one of these up in the UK? I want to avoid import tax if I can cheers ronin

Does the actual hop up unit really make much of a difference? I can understand the bucking having a effect on performance but does the housing? This genuinely interests me as I am now starting to delve into gun mechanics and I want to gain as much knowledge as possible

hahahaha ok so 1 day later and all is fine. I took the rife to pieces again, checked out the entire hop up and meticulously put it back together again. It fires like a dream now

Defo 58 pattern. the bum rolls on this old webbing are great and I still use one on my current issue stuff

ok so i tested it tonight. It instantly fires further than before with the hop up adjust as low as it will go. I then added hop up and it seemed to get slightly worse with less distance until the hop up was almost fully wound up, then the bb's were firing out drastically to the left before arcing back to the right!!!! I thought they arced upwards with lots of back spin anyone?????? the barrel is mounted correctly with the cut out of the barrel against the hop up nub

I suspect now this won't fit due to the tube sticking out of the G&P lower receiver. This ebay one doesn't have that

Gonna sound ignorant now but what do you mean by 'fake trades'? Does that mean you doubt it will fit a G&G upper?

True but I'd strip it down anyway and hope the body underneath it ok. I think I might take the chance and risk it.

Hi all, I have this M16a1 VN and I believe it is a G&G model (not 100% sure though, but it strips the same as my GR16 and has markings similar to the G&G version) My lower receiver is cracked and I'm looking to replace it. ahhhh I found one of these and couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was for because it was near the hop up. Being nearer the end of the barrel makes perfect sense

haha ok I have just researched how to maintain a hop up unit here is my repaired hop up unit and yes the nub was there (but i replaced it with a new one anyway). I will test it again tomorrow and see if there is any difference. I'm suspecting the barrel was upside down and so the nub was not able to deform the bucking rubber (thats what I'm hoping). I let you all know btw are there meant to be any o ring seal on the hop up?

Hi guys Could anyone tell me what this 'pin' is on a G&G hop up unit (see pic) My GR16 is only firing about 100ft before the bb's curve to the ground. The hop up doesn't seem to alter the spin on the round at all. I've replaced the hop up rubber and cleaned the barrel but it makes zero difference any advice?

I've heard this term 'cat' now several times. What is it? and in what sense are you guys using 'tourniquets'? Do you mean as in medical tourniquets?
