  1. Thanks Straffham, I supported the body and after quite a bit of hammering the front pin finally released. Jeez that sucker really was in there tight.
  2. Well as the title says......hi My name is Jon and I am from the Exeter area. I have been away from airsoft for about 5 years since moving from Norfolk to Devon. However I have just had my interest rekindled after finding Skirmish in Exeter My old set up was predominently vietnam stuff but I have just bought a G&G GR16 and I am liking it so much. So anyways.....hi cheers
  3. I have just checked out the G&P website and I'm 99% positive that my rifle is a G&P M16VN. Now I just need to know how to take it apart. I've contacted G&P and asked for advise. Hopefully they'll reply
  4. In my experience the LRRP would normally use something similar to tiger stripe, so I'd stick with that. As for head wear, I'd avoid a helmet as you'd want to be saving weight. Go for the boonie instead. The rifle is your own preference. A bulk standard M16 would work well but also a Car-15 wouldn't look out of place hope that helps
  5. Hi Yes I tried to pivot the upper and lower using the front pin as a pivot point. The two didn't seem to want to come apart. I had another look at the front pin last night and I can't get it to budge, it won't even twist. If I can get upper and lower apart I might try a repair on the inside using liquid metal. That point doesn't take any loading so I think it should be fine. I might approach G&P and see if they recognise the rifle
  6. I can't find it can you link the post?
  7. Hi all, I have had this AEG for a few years and need to figure out how to dismantle it. I thought it would be the same as a G&G M4 but I can't seem to remove the front trigger mechanism housing pin. I tried and all I succeeded in doing was cracking my lower receiver (its all metal btw). The rear pin does knock out but takes a lot of effort. I desperately need to clean/lube this rifle and also to try and effect a repair on those cracks but I need to firstly identify the make and model of the rifle and then also figure out how to take it apart. I figured I'd ask the wealth of knowledge on here as you guys seem to have a lot of experience. any help would be warmly accepted thanks Jon
  8. Thanks guys I am going for a 9.6v to begin with. My battery compartment is in the front hand guard and so i will buy the nunchuck style batteries thanks again Jon
  9. My first airsoft rifle a G&G GR16 It needs a new outer barrel front assembly but other than that its ok. It was painted camouflage when i bought it but i stripped it all back to black. Probably its not special to a lot of you but for this I love it
  10. Hi Guys, I am fairly new to the whole airsoft scene and have recently bought a second hand G&G GR16. I am really happy with this rifle. However I am about to buy a battery for it. My question is do I use a 8.4v battery as I suspect is intended or do I use a 9.6v as someone recently recommended. I am concerned that the 9.6v will wear my rifle out quicker. I am asking here as I am sure some of you will have come across this issue before many thanks Jon
