Hi guys, Before I commit to this and post in the for sale forum, I want to gauge the interest in lightweight fibreglass British mk7 helmets. These will only weight approx 400g and be made from fibreglass cloth and matting. Lightweight yet reasonably strong. I have the chance to borrow a mk7 for 24hrs from a friend in the stores at the local camp haha for my other work see this thread; (the mk7's will be better with a smooth resin finish though) http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/21676-british-mk6-helmet-reproduction/ Let me know if there is a market and what people would be prepared to pay for a copy helmet cheers Jon

Hi just had to share this. My friends who live in Latakia, Syria have had damage done to their house by a recent rocket attack. Thought it would be interesting to others to see actual collateral damage in a real war zone. It sometimes adds a new perspective to what we do for fun. Not meant to be heavy but may be just interesting for some.

Welcome. I'm originally from Norwich, although now down in sunny Devon. Good luck at Uni.

So this is the look I'm trying for. I think I'm getting there I concerned me that I was wearing a desert Osprey with MTP but it looks as though it is or was common practice to mix Stock photo of Reg in Afghan My load out. When I got to wear my osprey for real we were still in desert cam, so the MTP mix has always bugged me

Full plates !!!!! omg you're crazy haha. You must post photos of this, I'd really like to see it
-
yes I know what you mean lol
-
Thank you for your kind comments. Its strong enough to be knocked around during Skirmish (but i doubt its ballistic proof hahahaha)
-
Cheers Airsoft-Ed here it is with my loadout. I've only really ever known this so I'm sticking with it
-
Well I've decided to go with what I know and stick to this
-
All done

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this. The one thing I don't actually like about airsoft of the lack of noise. Its the noise during contact for me that gets the adrenaline pumping.
-
Padding added (with obligatory field dressing padding haha) and hopefully the mtp cover will arrive tomorrow.
-
I keeping missing that. note to self...........
-
Cost me about £8 in resin and fibreglass matting from halfords.
-
just done a weight comparison. My Kevlar mk6 weighs 1.5kg, my fibreglass copy only weighs 300g
-
Not sure if you're still looking for a replica but I made a fibreglass copy of my mk6. Only weights 300g see my thread http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/21676-british-mk6-helmet-reproduction/
