  1. I would personally call it "Cutting it fine".
  2. That's the Marui Scar-L ready for tomorrows skirmish.
  3. Got a brand spanking new G&P LMT Defender 2000! Instantly MagPulized it a little, threw in a ProWin hop unit, Lonex A2 motor, Madbull 6.03 python inner barrel and changed it to deans.
  4. Let's try not to create a warzone here yeah? It was an opinion and a question Jambo, not a statement or an insult. So yes grape is in the right mind but it's not worth getting frustrated over mmm'kay?
  5. Am I the only one to notice that the last two status begin with "Am I the only". Let's keep this going?

You'll get back and notice the whole of AF-UK begins everything with "Am I the only one".

I am the one to blame!

  6. Loving the tactical facial hair. Always completes any loadout.
  7. I custom made it by cutting the end off one, and the top of another, welding the two together, stretching the follower spring, sanding the weld, then repainting. Worked amazing well and gave me the ability to A: put more gas in and B: load 39 bb's in.
  8. Anyone heard of or used this ammo?

Like what Falcon said they are most likely crap. But maybe at that price they still might be worth a try? Just to see?

  10. I have relatives I America. My brother in law lives in Dallas, Texas. I also have two cousins, one in Mississippi and one in New York. Over there you get a lot of ex-military putting that sort of gear on eBay etc and they go pretty cheap (~$800 on bids). Having relatives who are also very enthusiastic about airsoft (one of my cousins is actually in one of Desert Foxes videos for about 7 seconds). I contacted my brother in law asking if he had any nice helmets. He has three ops core helmets. Two in dark earth and one in OD green. So I sent him $650 for a dark earth one which is about £400ish. Over here, they cost over £1500 at the best of times mainly because they're all imported as no UK armed force uses Ops Core.
  11. A sniper using a Fast helmet? Can't say I've ever seen that before. Be sure to upload some pictures in the loadout forum topic as I'm curious to see!
  12. That's Emerson's cheapest fast helmet model I believe. You can pick them up for £20 and cheaper from aliexpress. The retention straps give it away plus the colour on the arc rails is pretty glossy. The inside will be what looks like black polystyrene correct? But it does the job of looking cool I guess. Much better option then going for what I did and spending £400+ on a real steel Ops Core Ballistic helmet haha. P.S: Avoid impacts like banging your head on cencrete or the top of a door frame as the Emerson Fast helmets at ridiculously thin and feeble plastic and DO NOT trust that "eye protection" on it. Before my ops core I had one of these. Got shot in the flip down shield and it broke/ shattered and a piece of it went in my eye so if I was you, just remove it. Which is why I splashed out on the ops core.
  13. Anyone know how to get small speckles of tan paint off black metal? May have slightlyyyy messed up a dusty camo and don't want to repaint in black or use detol and remove the original black..?

gently pry it off with a flathead screw driver or knife?

Don't think detol is corrosive enough to take off the original paint very easily, just use a small amount and go carefully.

More likely to damage the paintwork via chipping away with an implement.

  14. Which is why I offered you the one I am selling. Again, I have a 7.62 double magazine fast pouch I an give you for free as I don't use 7.62 any more. Yes the VFC Scar-H has been discontinued I believe so having one will be a nice head turner. I simply put the 7.62 pouch on a drop leg molle platform meaning I didn't need to take off 5.56 pouches to use the 7.62 pouch. Even simply placing it on the side of your vest or on the back is a good place to have 5.56 pouches as well as 7.62. The fast pouch is double stacked meaning it takes up little to no space.
  15. Depends on what floats your battleship. If you want a wide range of magazine choices, go for the Scar-L. I had a G&G Scar-L and currently have a VFC Scar-L and a VFC Scar-H. The G&G and VFC Scar-L took the same magazines no feeding issues. I used P-Mags, STANAG magazines and E-Mags in both G&G and VFC Scar-L's no issues. VFC has considerably nicer externals (in my opinion). The bolt on the G&G sounded like pinging a tin when releasing the bolt. Rather pathetic and toy sounding. The upper receiver in FDE is also wank to be honest. More glossy than matt. Now, if you want to look meaner, the Scar-H is your Arnold Schwarzenegger airsoft equivalent. If you don't mind a 7.62 load out (less commonly seen which is always nice to be different) then go for it. I don't think G&G do the Scar-H. Only VFC, D-Boys and Tokyo Marui do as far as I'm aware. D-Boys is intermediate junk for beginners. Internals are made from paper cutouts and the exterior is plastic and pot metal, yuck. Tokyo Marui are obviously the best, but for a price little want to spend. So VFC would be your best option. Not forgetting you can slap on an SSR rail kit and a longer barrel and bish bash bosh, you have a pretty sweet looking VFC Scar-H SSR. It's really down to you. It's between the G&G Scar-L or the VFC Scar-H. The Scar-L will; - be easy to obtain a wide range of common 5.56 magazines. - accepts standard M4/ M16 hop up chambers (madbull ultimate, metal hops etc...) and that's really it. The Scar-H will - look much meaner - easily made into a DMR which actually looks like a DMR (not some 5.56 with a rifle scope disaster) - bit more unique - stands out from the typical 5.56 guns (M4's/ M16's and obviously the Scar-L etc...) However it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The VFC Scar-H has a unique hop up and unfortunately there aren't any metal replacements in the market (yet). Not forgetting you'll have to adapt your load out to accept 7.62 magazines however you can pick up a 7.62 double fast magazine pouch for under £10. The VFC Scar-H takes D-Boys magazines no problem so you don't need to pay £20+ a magazine luckily. Hope it helps and if you're after the Scar-H I have one up for sale. I can also give you a dark earth 7.62 double fast magazine pouch free as it's the only 7.62 gun I have.
  16. A few photos of my VFC Scar-H after I changed it to a more long range setup.
  17. No offence here but bloody hell your loadout is all over the place! Multicam UBACS with, is that AOR-1 trousers with a AOR-1 6094..? You must stick out like a sore thumb against foliage in games?
  18. Think you should read this. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AAC_Honey_Badger_PDW Although a good review the AAC Honey Badger is not a COD gun. It's just featured in COD. Otherwise every gun will be for the kids saying "UH MUH GURD I GOT A GN LOK OUT".
  19. Really trying to make the most of my 5-7 before it sadly goes after so many fun times together...
  20. You're always going to have people that splash hundreds to make their gun look "cool" even if they're trash at thinking tactically and don't think of it as a real life situation. This can obviously anger players who expect a little more realism such as yourself I take it? Try going to more smaller games. I play at Bunker 31 in Aberdeen and it's never loaded with 50+ players. I play with old friends from when I was back in the military so we take all our tactics and play style very serious. With larger fields, you tend to get just any old people going. Kids wanting a day out with their mates as it's close to big cities or towns. Bunker (being more secluded and out of the way, it's mostly adults who go who have combat experience. There's a group other than mine who were ex-military other than mine so it's much more enjoyable rather than run and gun/ piss around.
  21. Genuinely thought you had lost an actual person until I got to "When I finally got you home and got inside your smooth box I could hardly contain my excitement." At this point I was saying to myself "what kind of friends were you!?". Pulling at my heart strings like that.
  22. Doesn't matter, it comes with a real steel buffertube anyways.
  23. So I was going to add this a few weeks ago then totally got over my head with work and family sooooo I forgot... Nevertheless, this is my current primary. A G&G TR4-18 with built in tracer unit and tonnes more. I have ordered a genuine MagPul CTR stock in tan but it's coming from the USA hence it's taking a while.
  24. Is it possible to put an ARES upgrade EFCS trigger unit into a G&G TR4-18 gearbox?

  25. I believe "Stitch Me Up" is who you was referring to Monkey?
