HPA if you want them to run completely consistently. A popular rifle to convert to HPA is the KJW M700. I had one- they're great without HPA, but even better with it.
There are many many youtube guides for installing an HPA system, and if you need any further help, our friendly neighbourhood HPA guru PT247 may be able to answer any questions you have

I just did my first coat on it and I have done a nice clean "done in quick sprays across the body so it is a consice layer across" in khaki Halfords paint which is reasonably strong. I actually quite like the paint even in a flat khaki colour. (Pic to follow tomorrow when it has fully dried)

The perspective makes you look like a dawf at first glance.

You could try adjust the hop up unit to see if it is not jamming BBs before entering furthermore it could be due to the colder weather causing the rubber to be too hard to feed through.

Dunno if this is new news or not, but a company called NPOaeg are making a proper AK12, although they will most likely charge through the roof like they have done before

I just want to point out that there are many other guns than AR-15 variants and, as much as you may see yourself with nothing else, before you buy you should at least have a feel of a few different assault rifles and an SMG or two. To see how the layout of the controls suit you and what it's like to reload I would suggest trying any old M4, or indeed the CM18 MOD1, an AK-47 or 74, a G36C or better a KV, an MP5 SD5/6 if poss or A4 for the classic style, an MP7, and a bullpup - an L85A2, FAMAS, TAR-21, or Chinese Type 97.
 
There are loads of things which will prove more useful for skirmishing than a pistol. Spare mags, something to carry them in, spare battery, kneepads, better boots &/or socks, alternative eyepro, gloves, BFG and pouch / pouch for MK5 pyros...
