    GHK should be?

Only kind of, and only with significant modification.

The only thing I can think of that is potentially drop in, is hop up unit, but then you have to use GHK nozzles which is a ballache, because the nozzles need filing down to work with WA BCG's as they're dimensionally too big OOTB. Nozzle guides are also different, can again kind of work with some filing, but nothing is easy.

God forbid you need anything in the FCG, as its a complete shitshow in compatibility, given GHK can't guarantee compatibility between their own QC and generational differences, let alone compatibility with WA.

Currently in the process of trying to build a mws GBB. I have just bought the upper receiver, but it’s missing a part. I have been looking on the web and can’t find its name. Even tried contacting the supplier who can’t seem to acknowledge my question. Please can someone help me establish the name. Many thanks :)

Probably go find a more appropriate section or thread for a start.

Anything WE, Kyairsoft is the place to go.

RA-Tech has a lot of hype however there’s a lot of horror stories of bad QC, tolerance differences messing up. Personally I haven’t bought any RA-Tech parts based on the poor feedback I’ve seen though.

In terms of longevity, my WE G36 is my most used GBBR being fielded pretty much all summer for the past few summers and the internals are all holding up well!

The horror stories are mostly caused by people 'upgrading' one component and not everything then wondering why the steel munches their pot metal existing components.

  4. Definitely need to be organs - if its on par with the current ones, it'll be $1500-2500 before the price of the donor MWS?

Wonder if the DE MWS would fit it, rather than have to have a full fat TM.

    Marginally offspec, so probably not.

Random room inspections can and do happen.  I have been in the slightly awkward position of having to run a disciplinary case against a student whose RIF was found in his wardrobe.

I am my faculty's Prevent officer, so I have to check up on students who have been accessing websites and content on university WiFi or via university PCs that could indicate that they are at risk of radicalisation or are potentially a risk.  Recently, a Chinese Year 3 direct entry student was flagged for accessing a number of airsoft sites.  I called him in, as I am required to, and asked him in particular about an airsoft site whose website he had repeatedly accessed.  He explained that he and his friends were looking for sites to play at; I asked him if he had played at that site and he said he had.  I asked him when and, when he told me, asked him which team he had been on.  When he told me, I mentioned that we might well have shot each other.  We then spent a great hour talking about airsoft.

The moral of that is that you should not look up airsoft related content using university PCs or WiFi, including Eduroam.

Your university has been going down the draconian interpretation of what is permissible under PREVENT then. 'Proportionate' seems to have been left to the wayside a bit.

When I was at university as a student, we had an airsoft club and thus were allowed a dedicated lockable space for club equipment - which is where most people in halls stored their stuff.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be the first time i've seen them stored with permission in halls (worked for 2 separate University of Cambridge colleges and 4 universities total now) - just don't expect it. If you're storing them in locked hardcases, you are likely to be looked on more favourably by the staff especially if you make it clear that it is sports equipment. Halls don't stop you from storing Archery and Fencing equipment in them, provided you have appropriate storage considerations made.

Ofc it does matter. You can joule creep quite easily.

That's just imparted energy though - and not really relevant to the question. Cause and effect =/= a state of whether it is worth it or not. Higher muzzle energy =/= necessarily mean better. At CQB engagement distances, the increase in velocity is going to equate to milliseconds in difference, and thus doesn't equate to automatically being better.

  7. Hyperinflated prices for 'eu warehouse' are simply because Gunfire B2B still has the same rule for UK orders regardless of whether its B2B or B2C - £135 or over before shipping.

So the thing I was looking for with shipping and adding random shit i need for other things to the cart to meet the threshold, is still going to work out significantly cheaper than bending over for DCA.

Cerakote £200, gun £500 / 2 = £450 max - because they are a pile of shit dressed up pretty.

Also 340 might be on duster gas, but I had one on preorder and sold mine on because out of the box they do 460-480 on GG and when you drop in a flute modified flute valve to make them site legal, they chug like buggery. Even on HRC they have pages of woes related to how much work is required to make them serviceable for play.

  9. Decided to recreate something I built up a while ago - to then find quite how fucked up buying aftermarket bits has become since last time I bothered trying.

Finally sourced both a Madbull Troy TRX Extreme 9" (I think? retailer hasn't actually acknowledged the order yet) and a Madbull SI Cookie Cutter (it'll be coming snail mail from HK), so hopefully they'll arrive sometime in the near future/before the summer.

Rest of the desired doohickeys may have to wait until magpul RS bits are in stock in the appropriate places in the right colours, as clones costing near enough the real thing, i'll just cough up the little bit more at this point.

I'm unsure why you would think that.

I hold an SIA licence, but it's not required to wear a body cam.

You'd only need a licence if you weren't working for the Airsoft place and then only if you were watching the footage.

Sia licences are to regulate the security industry, if you are working for the place that has the CCTV you don't need a licence. Otherwise someone in a school or shop would need an SIA licence.

All you'd need to do to comply with data protection is have a policy and stick to it. Main thing being keep the video for the least amount of time you need to.

Because by having the CCTV on your person you are in effect operating it, rather than having it controlled by a third party with the appropriate license.

Indeed, unfortunately as a sport so existentially reliant on good faith behaviour airsoft is particularly vunerable to degradation of trust.

I've probably not worded it correctly with respect to gdpr specifically, my meaning is just that i dont think there's a legal issue with them filming as a matter of routine, especially with the vague notions of it being for the safety and security of patrons.

That still puts them in shaky grounds for it, especially if they've not got a very clear and defined (and bulletproof) data retention policy on them - CCTV has very specific rules to it, and bodycams are not going to be in scope.

    Edit: Been and checked.

If an airsoft site is doing any of these:

    1. Using the body cams as CCTV to monitor members of the public or to identify individuals.
    2. Using the body cams as CCTV to guard against disorder or to protect individuals from assault, including the use of to try to prevent crime from happening or to provide information about them later.

Anyone wearing one would need to hold an SIA Public Space Surveillance license. I'll take a stab in the dark, that nobody on their team has that.

I successfully received an AR receiver, an AR style  outer barrel with hand guard/flash hider fitted, a buffer tube, and a grip all in the same package from Hong Kong, but each item was separate - i.e, it wasn't assembled into a RIF. That one got through without UKARA on the outside of the package - but i was nervous! I'm not sure if the toxicant kit is sent assembled or not?

No they're sent through like ye olde challenge kits, somewhat assembly required.

However, given the cost, i'd probably just fill the form out regardless, as Border Force weenies are being dicks about a lot of things recently.

  13. One thing to note immediately - those lenses can't even be used. The OEM is a dubious copy of an already dubious chinese OEM, but they're pumping out stuff that isn't impact rated. The original by Wosport(?) was only able to withstand about 0.8J at 1metre back when they were first introduced in 2017.

I did/do think the current situation isn't great for those I described above,  or those who like to go do several different sites .... so no one site would meet the requirements.   A system that stores a profile/ portfolio of verifiable activity,  such as pictures direct from registered sites, payment receipts,  registered address etc.  Would be helpful.

I guess the issues come down to hassle-risk-reward for the operator.

GDPR requirements are going to shit all over any ability to run this without significant money involved - UKARA are already pushing their luck at the best of times.

  15. Now that they're finally stocking them in the UK again, so don't have to pay the obscene international hazardous items shipping cost - Bought 4x of the venerable Turnigy Nanotech 1.2A 11.1v LiPo's from Hobbyking - my existing ones were starting to be a little bit taking the piss on age, at slightly over 10 years old - so was hoping and praying they wouldn't go titsup before I could replace them and be forced to get a nuprol PoS.

Wonder if it’s the same guy referenced in this post?

Can’t find the airsoft site on companies house but I assume that’s the owners Mrs on the other businesses which doesn’t inspire confidence that’s he’s not barred from being a director.

Oh hello, now that's a name I recognise from when I was back in the muff 10ish years ago.

    Hi,

When I go prone with my Krytac the magazines are a bit too high and the gun basically rests on the mags.

Do you have any recommendations for low profile M4 mags? I’ve seen the EPM-1 S but Negative Airsoft doesn’t rate them because of their strong spring (he recommends the EPM but there is no low profile version of it).

I keep seeing negative airsoft referenced, but his reviews seem to be spouting a colossal amount of shit at the best of times. Get one, try it to see if it works for your use case - don't take a person spouting crap on the internet at face value.
