Untill it's not. I personally have had to wait almost two months for a gun to clear customs, going back and forth with the carrier. There are also lots of people who have had guns dead on arrival with no come back. We also have to remember the Dollar is doing shite at the moment (not up to when it was $2 to £ like it was in the early 2000s) but this last year you didn't save money importing. A few times I payed more than I would in the UK but no one in the UK had them in stock.
It's pretty near impossible for something imported to be more expensive unless you're buying extremely rare items or buying from stores that hyperinflate prices off the get go (RWA or WGC).
Also strength of USD to GBP is fairly irrelevant, if the store is using HKD or NTD as its primary currency.

Anyone who has both a DE Ghetto Blaster and a DE N4, could you weigh your BCG's for me please?
Just bought a spare BCG from Tiger1111HK that is intended for a GB, and i've immediately noticed its about 20g heavier than my N4's original BCG.

Jesus fuck that website is horrendous. Get rid of all the flashing shit.

Hello all
Does anyone know of any Russian style replica scopes that will fit onto a Cyma Vintorez without modification as I know the PSO1 replica I have on my SVD won't fit due to the lighting part that protrudes from the bottom?
I currently have an eotech replica on an AK side mount which fits and if you squint hard enough can pass for a 1P87 sight which I am contemplating buying but would rather have the classic appearance with the scope
Cheers
Nope. This is a fairly well known issue, the CYMA replica's mount isn't 1:1 so cannot fit scopes properly.
the forum search even discovers a post on here 3 years ago covering this -

Wow, the most I have seen is £80 difference. Best price I have found is £599.99
Raresoft preorder is £740. Which is mildly absurd given the other retailers.
If you want to really save money, the cheapest way is buying from ProAct, as its $506USD with free EMS shipping - so even after customs and parcelfarce take their pound of flesh it'll only be £460ish.

Yup, especially when some are almost £150 more expensive.

It's a "low ricochet target system" https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/south-coast-tactical-double-tap-airsoft-target.html
That photo just looks comical with the tiny target in the middle.

Bought 5 used Guns Modify Pmags from here, so I can run the DE on those instead of HPA, as I've decided i'm only using HPA when I absolutely have to, rather than all the time.

Pretty clear based on the multitude of listings he's a pisstaking retailer selling his product, but by god does it look shit, and it's definitely overpriced AF.
Arduino Nano's even at overpriced retailers are £13, the RFID reader is about £7, the screen is usually around £15. There are a multitude of free projects on this theme, even the custom PCB won't add up to enough to justify the near 200% markup for a "Prototype".

Have you got any inks you’d recommend?

Hello, wondered if anyone could assist me.
just bought the n4 new and the airattack HPA kit mag kit and I was having issues for about 4 hours. We had to have it below 70PSI because it would be over by 40 with 0.25bb’s but when lowered it, it would cause it not to shoot. After we fiddled around with it we got it shooting but every so often I would go to shoot and it would just dump my ass multiple times.the mag adapter is alittle bit wobble but not sure if that’ll affect it
I’m not sure how to resolve this issue.
You need an NPAS in the nozzle to adjust the output. The adapter will need a minimum of 100psi to get an N4 to cycle well.

As long as the information is freely given with the consent of the supplier and can be proved, for the purpose of verification - if the retailer then only confirms that the details are correct or not without sharing any other information, it's A-OK.
Doing it for this purpose is an "Informal Subject Access Request by Third Party".
Anyone can call up a retailer and do this, it's quite often why my sales on RIF's take so long, if everything isn't hunky dory, it's not happening.

The ol' UKARA dodge.
Although I'm not sure a 5-7 is really that high on the list of most people these days. And that's coming from a TM Fanboi
Probably would be a bit more desirable if the design wasn't so fatally flawed. Have had 3 in the past and they all failed in the exact same way. Replacement parts were unobtanium 10 years ago, let alone now.

Yeah, I know that's how it's supposed to work, and probably does now, but I remember the times where you had your UKARA on the side of the box and customs would still just decide "nah, these are dangerous weapon parts you terrorist" and your parcel would never arrive.
Fortunately, there aren't really any RIFs I want that I don't already have...
Or if you want to be extra, extra specific, get them to write this on the side of the box in bold:
"These toys are being imported for use the acting out of military or law enforcement scenarios for the purposes of recreation - AKA "skirmishing", as outlined in the Skirmishers Defense in Section 36 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act.
The recipient, **Your Name**, is a registered member of the United Kingdom Airsoft Retailer’s Association (UKARA), membership number **Your UKARA Number*" -

I mean, if they actually stand behind a warranty, and keep parts in stock, and have techs who can fix them, I can see where the markup is.
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiif.
They don't stock parts, so its kinda moot. The only retailers who actively stock parts for anything GBBR consistently is Milspec & HPA UK, and from past experience of the latter i'm fairly sure for at least half of their 'stock' they're dropshipping.
-
That looks promising, i'm actually tempted to buy one myself.
-
Some UK retailers are truly taking the piss on GBBR's at the moment - a certain retailer literally charging double for KWA masada's recently comes to mind.

£600 is an awful asking price.
Agreed, even importing it direct from Proact is only going to cost around £500 new after taxes.

price per shot with CO2 vs GG on a WE pistol is near identical, and actually works out cheaper if you buy the bulbs in packs of 40 or more. Only way to make gas cheaper is to be buying plumbers gas and using an adapter.
