      Sorry I phrased that badly.. Was supposed to say "Do you do a 1.5 mile run?" Never mind :D

      you can be unfit and pass a medical, they've no way of checking your VO2 max. Get out and run a couple of miles, if you're taking longer than 7:30 to run a mile the army would consider you unfit.
