Very nice setup! And your English is better than most English people here 😂. You should like the nub. If you only change a single thing on the gun, I’d argue the nub is the best £:performance upgrade (assuming you utilise heavy ammo)
-
Team MWS ready for tomorrow. The DMR being VERY special.. but more on that tomorrow night. 385fps on a .20, so there’s more to be squeezed out of it in terms of power.

that looks like it could be a shorter Dytac outer barrel, which has a larger lip that doesn't need an adapter ring. Otherwise you'd find there would be an adapter probably wedged inside of the barrel nut. BY the looks of it, if you keep the outer barrel, any aftermarket rail should bolt straight on. The gas tube will be missing because the gas tube on that barrel looks much closer to the receiver than the normal m4a1 setup. I've no specific rail recommendations, but any AEG rail should bolt straight on. Dytac stuff is nice if you're fitting them once and leaving it. I found their aluminium to be really soft and warp slightly when taking on and off repeatedly. Madbull has the most variety, althought Angry gun have just came out with their mk16 rail. I'm sure they do a 9" version

no matter what bucking/ nub i seem to use, it seems to be not enough hop, not enough hop, too much hop that it jams the gun. I never get to the point where i get lift.. I bought a pre cut R hop patch, hoping to fix my issue and it was cut badly. I'm gonna send it to somebody with more patience than me.

You can have mine. I'm ready to burn the bag of shit.

The brass nub works well with most buckings (especially the standard and modify tan) but to get the most out of something like the TR bucking you’re gonna get better results with a long nub because the bucking patch is massive. The problem with that is the hop window doesn’t allow for long nubs like the Prometheus bridged without cutting it down and it’s squishy. All this is pointless though if you’re limited to B.B. weight and joules. The reason you’d change your bucking/nub is if you can’t hop those heavy BB’s. To get more range you use a heavier B.B. and then apply more hop to extend a straight flight. The best setup for a .28 is the SixG brass nub and a standard or modify tan bucking. The brass has no give and puts a touch more pressure on the outside edges of the mound which I found tightens horizontal deviation without BB’s ‘hooking’ that can sometimes occur with concave nubs that aren’t centred perfectly
-
Increase the B.B. weight and you should see more range

Never had an issue with any of mine. In fact the MWS mags are the only mags out of the million gas mags I’ve got that have never. The next time they’re empty, press it down and put a few drops of silicone oil around the lip of the valve. Fill it with gas and wait. Might hiss at first but it should seal and be good
-
I’ve got the T hop in my DMR Mws now because I had a spare laying around. I’d reccomend the new TR hop by them as it’s very similar but an improvement. I also fitted the srs tigra or prowler nub (can’t remember but I modded it to fit anyway).
-
No wisdom here. Just lots of trial and even more error 😂

You might be able to stiffen it with some epoxy You might be able to stiffen it with some epoxy

I did some testing today with propane and it emptied 2 mags on a single fill no problems. Try guarder powerup gas if you’re really struggling. On a side note, TNT buckings are very good.

@Shizbazki having owned 3 GHK m4’s, the mws’s outshoot them all day long, especially out of the box specs. If the hop rubber is black, there’s a good chance it’s a standard bucking. @camden I use propane, but power should be similar. I’ve ran guarder power up gas in mine in this colder weather and it brings the crispness back that it starts to loose. Black gas should be fine now. Wouldn’t be using it in the summer though as it’s super snappy on green/propane anyway. Ive never used one in an mws personally, but people swear by them. https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/250mm-604-crazy-jet-gbb-inner-barrel.html i have used them in my WE scar H and mk23 and had great success though. There’s a few good barrels out there, just remember if you’re keeping the same length, you need a tighter than standard bore to increase the power. I’d avoid the PDI raven though. 6.01 made it over 350 for me and the hop window is tiny
-
@camden My casv with a standard barrel is getting about 310 I think. Putting a 260mm crazy jet in it should boost you up if you’re trying to squeeze everything out of it. What gas are you using?
-
Very interested in that. I was holding out for a GBBR Famas, but I feel like I’d be waiting for eternity
-
You buy from the U.K. site?
-
Isn’t a real steel suppressor for an AK a controlled item?
-
You can get used 416’s and scar H packages for sub £500 used and they start off at £500-600 new, not sub £400 for me, that AK is £375 max
-
Don’t solid stocks need longer buffers? If so, G&P make one. I’ve got it on my mk12
-
Never owned one, but the general consensus is they work, but not as well as the standard TM ones
-
That’s the best way of doing it. You won’t see a great deal of improvement with the same BB’s though. The performance gain comes from being able to use heavy BB’s. That being said, in standard form with .28’s it will run rings around a TM recoil. Mk12 just got a service and a new bucking to try.
-
@Immortal .30 was about as heavy as I could hop on a stock nub. The bucking is good, just there’s only so much hop you can apply with a hollow nub. @xB0SHx I actually prefer that I key design. I modified an mws chamber to take one once with good results. That long contact patch will work great with maple leaf and TNT buckings
-
I’ve never heard of a place banning propane.. all green gas is propane and silicone oil. I’m not entirely sure what ‘blend’ power up gas is. It functions and smells just like green gas. I imagine it’s like Nuprol black, but I’ve never tried it. Gives about a 15fps boost and a much crisper cycle in this lousy weather. Even makes my Gas SR-25 run like a champ in the cold. A WE mp5k? I’ve got the pdw and love it. Heavy little thing though. That nub should be fine. Just make sure if it’s smaller than the window to center it well.
-
Excellent! What gas are you running? I’ve just been testing some guarder power up gas and it’s even better than propane in this freezing weather.
