It’s very nice. I wish they made a MUR upper for the mws
-
What’s the base rifle?
-
I considered multiple uppers but ended up with multiple rifles instead ?. It is easy to have multiple uppers on a gbbr because the lower is essentially untouched. You may need to mod the selector so it’s semi only or have multiple.
-
Do it! Mws DMR is the way forward.
-
Is the outer barrel steel? That’s where most of the weight is
-
That’s correct. Madbull, Carbon fibre mod0 front end, PRI top rail, VFC flash hider, VFC mk12 suppressor, a2 stock, replica lapould scope.. Grip is a modern contraption. Its the insides that are magical ?

Nothing quite says how well a gun performs than when you hand it to people throughout the game day to have a play with and they all say “how?” When the see how far the BB goes. i ran out of ammo I had that much of a target rich environment and I was just too high and far away that nobody on the opposite team could hit me. Figured it take a little picture of the godly thing.

Before you change anything, chrono it on .30’s and get a baseline for joules. The SixG nub and modify tan works well at any FPS. I’ve ran it in my 310fps CASV and in a 400 FPS DMR with great success.

Take the nozzle out of the BCG, clean out the insides and wipe it down with silicone oil and a little bit on the piston cup/sealing thingy. Over time it can get a little dry and hurt consistency

Fantastic post @KoheiN that would explain why the long contact patches hitting the orga barrel I had.
-
I’ve got a one off hop arm in mine. It runs fine on lighter ammo, just saying it has the ability to lift any BB. My Casv Mws is 310fps on a .20. I run that on .32-.36 have you tried the TNT TR bucking? Very similar to the maple leaf but squared like an R hop instead of pointed. What I think is happening in terms of the damaged maple leaf is it applies more pressure to the tip of the mound than the back because of where the end of the arm is. I tried using the wonder bucking which doesn’t have the tab as I initially thought it might be pushing the bucking forward onto the barrel lip, but that didn’t seem to fix it either so I abandoned it for the modify tan. For the FPS and the lift required for sub .36 bb’s there’s little if any gain to be had from a maple leaf. Particularly when it’s not completely drop in.
-
What are your specs? And FPS? I’m running 400 FPS on a .20 no idea on joules because I’ve not settled on a BB weight yet. I’ve tested it with .45’s and it will happily send them into orbit?. Technically it’s an ER hop as the window has been enlarged. i had great success with the maple leaf, but the tip of the contact area seemed to get damaged after very little use. I figured it was cutting into the tip of the barrel window. I run them in WE GBBR’s though.

Yes a custom machined, R hopped barrel currently in my mk12 for initial testing. Id have posted results but there’s been gale force winds and none stop rain for the past 3 weeks. What I can tell you is it shoots further than my Kingdom of airsoft Real sword svd which has 30 more FPS.
-
Accuracy yes, but range is surely all hop pressure. If you’ve got a .32 flying straight and you increase the hop, you then don’t have a straight flight path, so you increase the weight of the BB to compensate. The only time I can see the range being effected is if you’re applying enough hop to almost jam the BB and reduce the FPS/power, which I’ve done before. That’s why R hops work so well. Large contact area but minimal intrusion into the barrel

On a standard TM recoil, .25 indoors and .28 outside I found to be the sweet spot. Or upgrade it and use .36’s?
-
Because of how airsoft guns work, you can get more range by doing 2 things. Increase bb weight and hop accordingly (this works to a point. Too heavy and you won’t be able to impart enough energy to to BB, and heavier BB’s can increase joules) or increase the power, which is probably not possible if you’re at your FPS limit.
-
Remember you’ll get joule creep with heavier BB’s. I run .36’s, but I’d start with .30’s and see how you get on and what it chrono’s at
-
Using the super nub means you get to keep your original hop arm, which means you can use other nubs if you were to try long contact patch buckings like the TNT. With the strike arm you’re stuck with that. If you’re gonna stick to -.28 and under there’s not a great deal of point in changing anything internally. The nub will offer slight improvement, but massive improvement with .32+ BB’s. If you’ve already got the arm then you may as well use it though. PTS and Orga make one. I had to get mine from HK somewhere. Couldn’t find anything in the U.K. i had what I think was a madbull mk18 rail on one of mine. You could get it on, but I found it rotated a bit left or right because the alignment tabs are about 3mm too wide for the receiver. Whats your fps now? Standard barrel I believe is 6.08? So you’ll get an increase in your FPS. Personally I think if you’re staying to the same barrel length, just clean the one you have and use it. Unless you buy an EDGI or something like that, you’re probably not gonna notice a great deal of improvement. If you’re putting a longer barrel in to DMR it, a replacement makes more sense. I wouldnt put ASG ultrair in anything I own, but my CASV on propane (standard internally minus hop mods) is about 310. It depends on if you have a version 1 or version 2 nozzle.

When you thought it was Friday yesterday.. I’ve never been so disappointed ?
-
Nuprol red is okay, but after using Guarder power up gas, I will stick to that for any time propane isn’t suitable. Seems to work like MAPP without the rancid smell
-
You playing at the weekend? If so, let us know how you get on with it. My aim for tomorrow is an 80m kill.
-
Despite the shit weather, DMR news will be here tomorrow night. I’ll just have to get wet ?

Do it! visual representation of using an mws is game:
-
@Shizbazki Success! I've owned 3 GHK m4's (One of which i built from a forged receiver) and while they're nice, they just don't perform like the MWS does. If you're only gonna be using .28's or less, there's no real need to touch it internally. The nub makes a massive difference when using heavier BB's, which the standard one can't lift. I run my CASV mws (310fps) on .32-36 and my mk12 mws (400fps) on .36-.45's

i really hope that your comment was sincere.. You're one of the lucky ones that hasn't seen the fucking awful film.
