  1. Yeah iirc it's only a matter of about £40-50 posted, but the pistol was £35 new and i've got 2 drop leg holsters and other stuff i want more!
  2. where do you live, dude?

well that's not a ridiculous distance for a non driver like me - let me know if u do decide to have a go at putting an event on cos i wouldn't mind taking some kind of backroom tedius job organisational role if it'll make something cool happen

  3. Yeah Sam, there's an IMI holster which has a molle adapter so you can fit it at whatever angle you like, similar but not compatible with SERPA, that takes USP's - it's on my 'to get list', but frankly it'll cost more than the fcuking pistol so I'm in no hurry!
  4. TBH I wouldn't know - I prefer quim more up close and personal and/or girls who like to break rules. Still, if you're talking about Hooters, serves you right. They market themselves "exactly what it says on the tin" stylee, but if that were the case they'd be called "Bell Ends R Us".
  5. No he can't. Neither could I with that style of drop leg, which is why I made the extra straps I wear on mine: The one that goes under my crotch has a loop of 50mm elastic around it for the leg strap to fit through which stops it from slipping down and going loose. I realise that it looks uncomfy being tight around my nads, but it isn't. It's just a case of hitching it all to the side before tightening, then it drops back into place just fine... I haven't got around to making one for my black kit yet, but I think I may have a bit of 20mm webbing lurking somewhere so I will. I was thinking of selling them, if anybody is interested, but TBH I don't think I could charge what my time is worth to me, so I'd have to keep the numbers down
  6. A likely story! You'll be telling us your boner was ironic next! Muahahaha! (v^^v)
  7. Indeed Sir. And Geoff Boycott is so gay he's asked for a special part to be written into the chorus line for him in the upcoming musical "Howzat!" Sean Bean? TBF he's good, but he'd be the first to acknowledge that compared to Robin Hood, he is generic tinned sardines in a water heating contraption rejected by Argos, on the scale* of different kettles of fish (*ha ha fnah hoch ha).
  8. However, the "Loxley" angle is but one rendition of the legend, one fostered to remain at least partially palatable to those with the power to cause an oral tradition to be written down, since the "goodie with the wherewithal to challenge established authority and the status quo" is not some random peasant, some person just like those sitting around in the pub listening to the tale, some everyman pushed by exigent circumstances to disregard the threats and consequences implicit in government per se, a simple common man whose practised skill at arms, intelligence, and charisma could be the seed of an effective community beyond the reach of corrupt power... ...no, he was a nobleman. A Saxon in a world of Norman overlords, but nevertheless a lord with the god-given mystical 'extra' that allows him to collect taxes and live off the fat of the land, so long as he pays his quota on up the chain to the Godfather King. So obviously you can keep your lickspittal ponce of Loxley and we will revere the Hooded Robber, the ultimate embodiment of the power of people to opt out of corrupt law and beat it. And besides, we've got his statue, so ner ner nee ner ner! Oh for shame though! Shagging a Southerner! It's kind of understandable though. She is not merely a southerner, but one who had come to the magical city to clothe herself in its glamour, and being an uncouth Yorkshireman, you were taken in... it's a sad tale, but one which ought to be a lesson to all scum It takes more than a university education to emerge from the soot...
  9. See the problem, Ed, is that you're just to unreconstructed for a cosmopolitan place like Notnum. Our buses don't bend, nor do their drivers - they are one of the more obvious manifestations of the implacable edge to the social contract we adhere to in order to enjoy greater freedoms, such as being able to get a prescription which is not available free on the NHS filled at the pharmacy of the apocalypse harbingering sized Tesco at Long Eaton, where it is much cheaper, for the same bus fare as popping down to town to take in the awe inspiring sight of Trams which do not bend so much as shimmy through the exuberance of happiness brought on by hanging out in Europe's largest square/plaza/piazza/place-to-piss-in-the-water-feature, mere yards from which one can purchase burgers made from hemp seeds, have one's unsightly face veins zapped, pay staggering sums for every kind of tat a lifestyle mag could care to pontificate about, be accosted by some of the North's finest nutters and urchins and still have time to pick up a Sub Way to nibble on the way to a nearby bus route to anywhere from Northampton to your own dismal backwater... Let's have it right, you can hardly expect a Notnum damsel to pledge herself heart and soul to an uncouth Yorkshireman, can you? No doubt she was enjoying a bit of rough for experimentation, making her mistakes with someone with whom she would never ordinarily share a social milieu, before going on to find an equal... Remember, we've got Robin Hood, whom IIRC it was the anthropologist Scott who theorised was demonstrably more likely to have been a real person than Jesus H. Bomb Christ. Whom have you got, Uri Geller?
  10. I hardly ever use cash these days, except for fruit from the local shop (lol, where the precious things reside) and bus fare. In Notnum they don't give you change on the buses so, unless you want to get raped even worse, you need the right money - that takes care of my spare change and then some. Even the pubs I feel comfortable in take cards these days. Tis the end of days, I tell ye. Every man shall have the mark of the beast and without it shalt he not trade. Don't forget the whore of Babylon, or the friend who shalt borrow his friend's hammer...
  11. Yeah, but i have never got around to having any varifocals made for me before. They require that you not get your 1st pair from them. I spose because it can be a pain in the arse getting a customer set with them 1st time.
  12. £3.80 delivered ~ fleabay. I ordered an Eagle Force steel bipod for my SVD too and another midcap while I was at it from uncompany, but I haven't had a confirmation email with invoice from them yet, so I dunno if that will happen.
  13. Sounds like a plan, James. Let me know when and I'll PP you some P&P. I mean yeah, I could dremmel one but then I'd have to bend it just right to get it back together in a way in which glue would hold. Could you PM me your address then blueangelical? I'll get them in the post to you ASAP. Glad to see I'm not the only one who uses quick access zips on his boots They're so good. I honestly can't imagine going back to messing about with laces, especially when they're wet and/or muddy.
  14. Actually both my filters have metal casings I was thinking of posting the template/s to you analogue stylee, so you can stick it/them to the polycarbonate and cut around it...?
  15. Thanks for turning up Well, that answers my question above: re changing the airflow and fogging How do you get the filters apart? I have 2 and the 2 parts of both shells seem to be either welded or mega-glued together. I haven't actually tried brute force and ignorance yet, because I don't want to leave scratches and dents that would spoil the look. How did you do it? Such is business I spose, but yeah ripping off your ad is well rude. Can you also do any shape as well as any size? I'm thinking if I can post you a paper template, you can work from that because i don't have a micrometer with which to measure exactly.
  16. You should get some pistol mag pouches for the small of your back/kidneys and a 2nd pistol...
  17. I'll bet your loadout looks uber though, right? Just to add, I've invited blueangelical to stop by here in person, so you never know, all our replacement ballistic lens needs may be sorted easily. He has just told me he can do custom size requests too, so I'm planning to get one for my C8 torch and my Soviet gas mask too, in the fullness of time.
  18. now i'm thinking of using my recent uber sniper pic

  19. "blueangelical" rings a bell, but i can't find him on eBay now. He's on instructibles though.
  20. I'm sure nobody ever told u that the S10 would protect u from bullets tho, right? The lenses aren't rated for ballistic protection. Once you get them out of the rubber you can feel it - a good thwack would crack/shatter 'em.
  21. Weeeeeellllllllll... S10's are sweaty bastards certainly, but let's have it right, the way that the air circulates inside them with each breath, as it is designed to, stops the lenses from fogging much / at all. Who knows if that will still work properly if you mess with it? I haven't got around to it yet, but I definitely intend to take the innards out of a filter for mine sometime. Breathing through a proper filter takes some practice when you're running about - deep and steady gets you more oxygen than trying to gasp. I had a look for my receipt for ballistic replacement lenses, so i could pass on the seller to you, but unfortunately it's another victim of early onset dementia, otherwise known as i couldn't fcuking remember where i've left my arse if i didn't have to wipe it periodically...
  22. Shouldn't have spent this money but I couldn't resist: Vintage Soviet Flashlight Vintage Soviet Pistol Lanyard £12.60 for both delivered - from someone on Etsy
  23. Thanks mate. Unfortunately they only do varifocals, which i need, if you've had them before and can send your old pair. I need varifocals but i haven't bothered to get any yet!
  24. No mate, my back is still recovering from GZ. I know what you mean re un-Russian. The muzzle cap needs to be made of steel and chained on, but right now I don't have anything that I can press into service. That spanner thingy is the best thing I had to hand, but again it could do with a chain - I might take the chain off my Soviet water/vodka canteen because it's a major pain in the arse - it actually makes it more difficult to get the cap on/off. But then there's the reason I plaited that bootlace - so it can't get a loop caught on anything. The chain I'm thinking of has figure of 8 links that are un-welded - what do you reckon to bath plug chain? I spose I could go t'other way and use some rough jute twine.
  25. @NAE13 I was talking to Geoff about various ways of carrying my AKS and SVD and he suggested I fold the AKS stock and attach both ends of the sling to the rear sling mount. It didn't really work with the loadout I was rocking then, because it kept clattering my pistol, but it's a good idea so I revisited it. I expect it will work with my Soviet gear because I use a Makarov holster with a PPK-alike on my waist belt, not a drop leg. Anyhoo, long story short, two problems are that, although it doesn't really look it, my AKS is pretty old and knackered so the stock doesn't stay folded when the weight of the gun is all hanging on the sling mount attached to it and with it hanging vertically down, anytime I crouch, which will happen a lot when using a sniper rifle also, the muzzle will go straight into the dirt. Hence, besides a muzzle cover, I needed something to jam into the stock fold catch that wouldn't get lost, because I'd need to do some serious metalwork to stop the stock from wobbling so much that it moves out from under the catch, and perhaps even a brand new one wouldn't do it without a new receiver also... Cover made from a small pill bottle with the thread cut off, neoprene, and tape. It comes off easily or the 1st shot removes it. It has a few layers of hard and spongy shock absorption to stop BB's wrecking it quickly, but I think it may need more/better. I needed to add that loop to the stock, but a bit of paint and it looks like it belongs, IMO.
