A nice little backplate for my Glock 45 project. (If ParcelForce ever actually get their shit together and it arrives.)

I went into the garage and remembered how much i like to modify everything i own. First thing it needed was a QD sling point on the stock. Then added a Wadsn aluminium NGAL with pressure switch. Modified the switch clamps to fit the Delta rails with original screw locations. Wiring run inside the handguard. and a bipod because i wanted to. Also with its original mounting removed and drilled to fit the Delta rail. Now ready for Sunday's fancy dress game at RIFT.

My bog standard Marui HK 416 Delta NGRS clitoris. Nothing done to it except mini Tamiya battery connector conversion, 4x red dot sight and 2" outer barrel extension + silencer with tracer inside.

I'd just take any normal pistol really. Maybe an 18C if you want full-auto ability. MK23 for all-out stealth probably only worth it if you're fully ghillie'd up?

I have a Brighter R too. It goes into sleep mode after 5 minutes but is woken by movement and i think it beeps when it becomes active again. But it shouldn't be skipping shots, mine certainly doesn't.

Little bits and pieces yesterday Modifying my G3 scope mount to delete the rail and lower the scope as much as possible. Bit of milling, drilling and tapping and got it 95% how i want. Little more needed but i'm happy with it. Then a quick job with some spare brass and delrin; a Mini Tamiya terminal remover.

A distant memory these days.

What mix of base rifle and parts did you use for the SD conversion?

It's worth doing if you prefer the navy lower. Very easy to swap over. I bought the parts from HK Parts in the US. They won't ship internationally though, so you need someone in the US to ship the parts on to you.

Yes, it's a VFC/Umarex GBB. The lower was a direct fit. I just bought the empty lower and the VFC trigger pack dropped straight in. You do need a matching fire selector for the navy lower as it's longer than the one for stamped lowers. Only took a couple minutes to swap over.

Got a new Cyma supressor for the 553. Just need to modify it and put a tracer inside.

Dumb question about batteries: Is there any issue in running 2 batteries in parallel? I can't see why there would be, but maybe there's something specific about AEGs i don't know. (Marui NGRS M4 with Li-Po instead of proprietry crane/SOPMOD battery.)

This is more complicated than i anticipated.. 😂 I'm looking at a TM NGRS SCAR-L, just as a general assault rifle, not for CQB or DMR use. Apparently you can go to 365mm with the standard outer barrel length (which i'd keep) whereas it comes with a 300mm barrel as standard.
