  1. Yeah i'm gonna add them to my list of people not to buy from.. ?
  2. I bought a couple GBBRs first, then a couple Marui NGRSs after. You can't beat a GBBR for the realism, the "feel" and recoil, the noise. If you want even more, fit a muzzle flash simulator and in the dark it'll light up the gas cloud coming out the barrel like a muzzle Flash. I've not had mine long enough to comment on the maintenance aspect, but the cost difference is significant. The gas mags are 2-3x the cost of AEG ones, with very limited capacity. (30 for my 553, 20 for my G3.) Then the cost of gas itself. The guns are heavier and the mags are heavier too. I did buy a set of CO2 mags for my 553, which makes it fine in cold weather. And as per a suggestion from @Enid_Puceflange i got an NPAS for it too, as on the standard nozzle it'd put out 0.4s @ over 4J! With that turned down to 1.1J, the extra gas goes into the recoil. (I think.) But despite all of that, they're still great fun and very satisfying. The NGRSs are a great compromise, all the ease of an AEG without the running cost or limited ammo capacity of a GBB. The recoil is obviously limited, but still good. I run both, and switch between them on game days.
  3. https://www.vapextech.co.uk/airsoft-11v-2200mah-30c-lipo-battery-with-case-lp020-vapextech Not sure if it's too big. Or these: 11.1v 1450mAh 30c Stock Tube LiPo Battery https://amzn.eu/d/6QQDYln Hilldow 11.1V LiPo Airsoft Battery 1100mAh 30C Rechargeable Stick Pack Batteries High Performance Compatible with Deans/T Plug for Airsoft Guns Rifle Model https://amzn.eu/d/08sHpL7
  4. Maybe something like this, but you may need to change the connector. https://www.vapextech.co.uk/airsoft-11-1v-1300mah-30c-lipo-battery-with-case-lp304-vapextech It's hard to say without knowing all the dimensions.
  5. Don't you come in here with this "need" bullshit. (I've just taken out a mortgage on two horrendously expensive Orpaz holsters.)
  6. And ARs with little skinny magazines look kinda dumb..
  7. No problem. You won't be disappointed, they're beautifully made and the electric recoil is nice. Definitely worth looking at buying from Zero One. I've used them a lot lately, including buying mine from them and they're great. (In fact another gun from them arrived today.) And don't bother with the dedicated battery. Conversion to 7.4v LiPo is really easy and a way better option. What part of London are you in? I'm in NW near Cricklewood Lane/end of M1.
  8. I bought a TM NGRS 416 Delta, which is the same internally, and i love it. I'd definitely recommend it, great out the box, the fit/finish/quality is second to none. Only thing i'd say you want to do out the box is convert the battery connector to take a mini Tamiya/Deans and run a 7.4v LiPo. Swapping the inner barrel and hop rubber will give you an instant boost in accuracy, range and power and isn't too complicated. I'm very new to airsoft and started with GBBs, but now have two NGRS and they're great guns. Took my 416 out on the last game and it was flawless. I bought mine from Zero One, who i can't recommend enough. I've used them a lot recently and they've been great. https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/Tokyo-Marui-Recoil-AEG-URG-I-SOPMOD-BLOCK3 Mine:
  9. Do you still have the e-mail for them that you used?
  10. Nah, you should buy it. I want an M14 too actually. ?
  11. 20 years of reckless spending and i have a better equipped workshop at home than any place i've worked. It's nice to be able to go into the garage and fix or make anything. (Shame i don't own the house. ☹️) Ironically, what tools i have at work fit in the boot of my little Peugeot runaround.
  12. When all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail. When you have a lathe, a mill and a welder, everything is whatever the hell you want it to be.
  13. A nice little backplate for my Glock 45 project. (If ParcelForce ever actually get their shit together and it arrives.)
  14. I went into the garage and remembered how much i like to modify everything i own. First thing it needed was a QD sling point on the stock. Then added a Wadsn aluminium NGAL with pressure switch. Modified the switch clamps to fit the Delta rails with original screw locations. Wiring run inside the handguard. and a bipod because i wanted to. Also with its original mounting removed and drilled to fit the Delta rail. Now ready for Sunday's fancy dress game at RIFT.
  15. My bog standard Marui HK 416 Delta NGRS clitoris. Nothing done to it except mini Tamiya battery connector conversion, 4x red dot sight and 2" outer barrel extension + silencer with tracer inside.
  16. I'd just take any normal pistol really. Maybe an 18C if you want full-auto ability. MK23 for all-out stealth probably only worth it if you're fully ghillie'd up?
  17. I went there recently for a Friday night game. It was good. Middle of the woods, good layout and stuff. Everyone was friendly.
  18. Worth giving a list detailing the upgrades. "£1000 worth" is meaningless.
  19. I have a Brighter R too. It goes into sleep mode after 5 minutes but is woken by movement and i think it beeps when it becomes active again. But it shouldn't be skipping shots, mine certainly doesn't.
  20. Considering how touchy you are, maybe the internet or public forums are not the place for you. You got upset when someone said you should put your question in a more appropriate place than some random thread, which is right as you're more likely to get the right answer. Now you're throwing toys out the pram when there's comments on your reply. Also, if you want to call someone a wanker, just come out and say it instead of pissing about with emojis.
  21. It took you 7 months to think of a reply and that was the best you could come up with?
