Think I'll look at getting the Merf 3.2 mosfet... 1. It's a plug & play 2. I'm not confident at opening any gearbox & expect it to work properly (know your limitations) 3. I've not soldiered anything in decades 4. I should be able to use the same mosfet in several rif's

Well it's not going to win any beauty contests, or shooting contests but it works reasonably well now. All it needed was... New Gearbox (complete) New motor New grip New ejection port cover(still doesn't bloody close tho) New receiver pin (tbf I found the catch for the original pin when I removed the old gear box) I forgot to add... a new hop unit too. Still want a gas tube for it (rarer than hens teeth apparently)

Hi Hive mind, there's loads of info about mosfets in the forums but I have a simple question that I can't find the answer to, is there a programable mosfet that will simply plug into/onto the wiring between the motor and the battery or are they all fitted into the gearbox? I like the idea of being able to program an aeg to a burst mode if I wanted but don't have the skills or bravery to fit one into a gearbox. If there is such a mosfet... what would you recommend? TIA

Orion gearbox works using a motor with a longer pinion & the issue the seller had with it only firing on full auto with no safety seems to be the selector possibly in the wrong allignment? even the new gearbox suffered this complaint. Working silly hours just now at work so will fiddle about with it another time when I can focus properly.

No need to be jealous, it's a cheap Mac-10, it was a replacement for a two tone one I rattle canned & did a shit job of(it's hiding in my shed somewhere). Got a new gearbox and an ejection port cover for my M16A3 today, the Orion gear box was working fine but the join in the red wire prevented the motor sitting properly in the grip, I'm sure the rif was working before it was dismantled for posting but I'm damned if I could get the motor sitting properly. I'm no tech but it looks to me that this gearbox has been worked on, in fact I know it has as I can see through the spring access that teeth have been removed from the gear/s.

Every other week? only twice to my knowledge, both recently tbf but please remember... patience is a virtue.

To be fair I don't have a DSR-1 in my collection but I'd rather have a Walther WA-2000, besides I do have 2 Mac11's, 3 if you count my Mac10 too. I got the shakes when I sold 4 of mine... never again. (already replaced them, lol) I generally just see what's in the classifieds when I get paid, unless there's a specific rif I want new. Just popped on Fleabay & got a rotary hop on it's way for the M16A3 I bought from the classifieds. Not really worth posting a pic as it's a basic hop unit & as we all know... the forums misbehaving again. Can't place an add just now (with pics) but has anyone got a full length gas tube for an M16A1/A2/A3/A4 going cheap?
