Well as some of you may know, I was on the hunt for a gas tube for my M16A3 which I managed to source from johnnyj, I bought the front end from him with the tube & had an epiphany on the way to work yesterday. I like to complete a 'series' of rifs/vinyl/other crap (I call it my tism) anyway... I realised I now had a carry handle upper and an M4 that was taking up space, so after a little dremelling I now have a DIY 723 carbine. Still needs a little tlc as the upper wasn't a straight swop & it needs an ejector cover and a forward assist but it'll do for now. Just seen army stamped behind the selector so might be an AA

Sorry, meant ICS. Unless it was miss sold to me as an ICS, it's certainly got an A1 charging handle & unshielded mag release.

I'll bare that in mind but I'm wary of importing whole rifs TBH but was going to try the DoE with a Car-15 when I'm brave enough. (hate the waiting too tho).

Then my suggestion is to undo everything you did then test it, if it works properly then great, then change 1 thing at a time & test, then change a 2nd thing & test, you'll either find where you went a bit wrong and be able to fix it or it'll work perfectly because you were being methodical.

Congrats on the weight loss, as a 6'4" 23st jock I know the feeling when trying to find kit to wear, the trousers won't be a problem if you tie the 'ties at top of your boots level, like others have said...knee pads will help with the bagginess. As you play you'll be glad the sleaves are not clingy & a belt might just drag your trousers further down unless you try braces too. I made sure my holster was attached to my webbing even if it hung lower than my waist as I didn't want my 'britches round my ankles'.

Of course it is, but I'm very modest.

This upstanding gentleman forgot to add that it shoots like a lazer, it's mega upgraded (too many to list), won awards at the local dog show for waggiest tail & is fully vacinated.

You think thats big? ? Just while it was off the wall to swop out the eotech here is my ex2tone Tavor.

Had a hydra mount delivered today, the plan was to fit it to my URG-I with eotech type rds & a peq but TBH it just looks clumpy on such a slender rif, I like the smaller rds(dunno the make) so tried it but the sight was too high with both risers & impractical without the feyachi riser & still clumpy, so I've settled for a more minimalist look. I've had the offset irons for a while & never used them but they'll look better on an M4 so plan on ordering some modern tan offsets, the rif was a bit off balance with the irons & M300 on the same side so the light is at the 9'o'oclock instead which will also let me get away without buying a switch as the button will be close to my left thumb anyway.
