The 'What have you just bought' Thread
ButcherBill replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
You had the chance to buy one a few weeks ago, FYI... I might be visiting Fife again next week. ? -
Then my suggestion is to undo everything you did then test it, if it works properly then great, then change 1 thing at a time & test, then change a 2nd thing & test, you'll either find where you went a bit wrong and be able to fix it or it'll work perfectly because you were being methodical.

Shirt/Trousers for the larger gentlemen question
ButcherBill replied to Punisher3990's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Congrats on the weight loss, as a 6'4" 23st jock I know the feeling when trying to find kit to wear, the trousers won't be a problem if you tie the 'ties at top of your boots level, like others have said...knee pads will help with the bagginess. As you play you'll be glad the sleaves are not clingy & a belt might just drag your trousers further down unless you try braces too. I made sure my holster was attached to my webbing even if it hung lower than my waist as I didn't want my 'britches round my ankles'. -
Of course it is, but I'm very modest.

This upstanding gentleman forgot to add that it shoots like a lazer, it's mega upgraded (too many to list), won awards at the local dog show for waggiest tail & is fully vacinated.

Was it working before your tech work?

& remove all rings/watches.

You think thats big? ? Just while it was off the wall to swop out the eotech here is my ex2tone Tavor.
-
Had a hydra mount delivered today, the plan was to fit it to my URG-I with eotech type rds & a peq but TBH it just looks clumpy on such a slender rif, I like the smaller rds(dunno the make) so tried it but the sight was too high with both risers & impractical without the feyachi riser & still clumpy, so I've settled for a more minimalist look. I've had the offset irons for a while & never used them but they'll look better on an M4 so plan on ordering some modern tan offsets, the rif was a bit off balance with the irons & M300 on the same side so the light is at the 9'o'oclock instead which will also let me get away without buying a switch as the button will be close to my left thumb anyway.

You need a badass bandolier. -
dremel works wonders

Cheers, I forgot they had them, I've used sixmm before & assumed the borderforce had fecked up my order when they opened it up (had a scented candle in place of a tan grip)

The front sight was stable but the gas tube was missing & the screw holding the handguard retainer to the front sight was sheared off so the wobble came from there mainly, simply having the gas tube in situ secured the retainer & stopped the wobble by 95%. The M16A3 now has 98% ish of the parts it should, including a new gearbox, it'll never be used in a game but I like my toys to be working if possible, prob have 3-4 more that need some tlc but the M16A3 annoyed me because it arrived as a box of bits (but not all the bits). -
I reckon the pin hole has maybe been drilled out to get the hand guard to fit, it's probably from a different model/brand. I had to do similar to swop hand guards on mine.
-
i'll have you know... it's SUPER RARE.

A quick question for the Hive mind... Is this M16A2 receiver likely to take Cyma M16A3 parts? ie a straight receiver swop. https://www.sixmm.com/en-gb/products/e-c-complete-cold-m16a2-airsoft-aeg-metal-bodyfor-tokyo-marui-v2-gearboxblk

Nothing to really see but I got a gas tube from johnnyj today and it's stopped the wobbly wobble of all wobbles as there was nothing to secure the handguard properly. Sometimes it's the little things that make me happy. -
Pricing LCT rifles that take up way too much space
ButcherBill replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in Appraisals
The general rule is 60-70% of the current new price, obviously you can ask for more or haggle, additional mags or accessories don't always add much value so selling seperately is prob a good idea. -
it shot really well, the mags weren't feeding properly tho, hicaps from now on.
