Not new pews but can't really be seen in the pics I posted previously, so... AR57 I got from the classifieds, bad a PEQ box fitted as a battery holder which was ugly as sin so I rerouted the wiring to the mag well, emptied an older stanag of it's internals and works great as a battery box. Never used in game but even carrying it to the range area I felt the need to remove the mag to avoid any shouts of "mags out in safety zone". I've yet to find a set of sights I want to put on it, an RDS looks odd, an Acog is too big due to the mag release so I reckon I'll eventually put some M16/4 irons on it at some point. It shoots a bit hot anyway so would need a spring change or a lot of bb's through it before I can even consider using it in a game (it's a big heavy lump so more of a wall hanger TBH). Honeybadger I also got from the classifieds, it had obvious signs of being butchered internally, I remember posting at the time how the spring and various bits went flying across the room when I opened it (found them eventually), once refitted it was pretty crap so I ordered a new complete gearbox which was a doddle to fit once it got here from 6mm (along with a scented candle thanks to some idiot in UK customs, should have been a tan grip), butt cap was missing & had a fake carbon fibre one which was crap too, and if that wasn't bad enough it had a fake carbon fibre suppressor cover which took ages to remove. It's very light and feels nice even just plinking in the garden so I should really try it in a game at some point, too hot as well but I'm sure a few hicaps through it 'might' bring it to site limits. Got them both pretty cheap so don't mind spending a little money on them if I do decide to use them.

Welcome, 57 here & I airsoft to kinda justify my collection, I don't get to play often but when I do... It's great fun, bit of a heifer so it's also knackering. Take plenty of fluids with you & wear suitable boots, as the above comments have said, don't buy until you get your UKARA then if you decide to play a lot buy the best you can afford (even <£100 pews can perform well), if you're gonna collect then buy what you fancy. Try as many different flavours as you can until you decide if you like AR's, AK's, Bullpups, SMG's, Modern, Retro etc but avoid Gas until you have a bit more experience.

Vorsk don't have a great reputation so personally I wouldn't spend any money upgrading. Probably better buying a glock or another secondary from the classifieds here. I've bought most of my collection from the classifieds & the only items I wouldn't/couldn't use ingame were those I bought knowing about the issues.

To be fair, getting to my local site is problematic due to my schedules & I've recently thought about trying Area66 as they have games on my weekends off, I'm likely going to use my usual Scar-H or XM177 GBBR's or plan B which would be my L85A2 or mk18 AEG's, would be nice to have the option of using my SLR as it was my first one in my current collection(a gateway pew) or even some others that would be above 360fps with anything heavier than a .2 Just checked, there are very few of my toys that I couldn't use at POW but less at Area66 if I did fancy a change. As we say North of the border... Eh, Naw!

No, it's a site rule, bolt only 485fps, 2.2j. Everything else 360/1.2

Yeah, unless it's a bolt action it's max 360fps, 1.2j Last time I crono'd it it was 434fps, 1.85j p.s. it's a single shot.

Not to brag or anything but I got mags for my Ares L1A1 easily enough. (shame it's too hot for my local site tho)

I've changed jobs & taken a pay cut recently so this is as exciting as it gets these days, If you've seen my pics you'll know I have a wee collection on the go but I never seem to have enough mags for a decent game day without stealing some from my display pews, this always kinda annoys me as I usually forget to put them back... problem solved.

Make sure you have sturdy boots on.

I like it but don't have many GBBR's to compare it to, a two-tone SCAR-L was my first game pew so I have always liked the 'shape'. It's no lightweight but has proven more reliable than the WE XM177 I have.

I'd have the MDR, purely for the rarity. I believe the early one's had issues(like the RS) but I'd hope a V3 had been sorted out. I have a WE SCAR-H GBBR and a couple of AEG SCAR-L's and love them to bits but I love bullpups as much/more.

A bucket is no good for airsoft, I use a 6ltr soup pot, it's armoured & makes a rewarding ping when hit.

I usually take a couple of AEG's as plan B if GBBR's don't behave, the mk12 has only ever been crono'd and sits at 1.15j 352.4fps so might be an ideal pew for me.
