I was hoping it would make my son realise that in the army you only get shot once.....compared to how many respawns he had to do on a typical skirmish day.

Don't mind him signing up to learn a skill/trade and serving that way.  I don't want him being Cannon fodder for whatever cnut has managed to persuade an alarmingly small proportion of the population to put them in power....when was the last truly justifiable armed conflict we were involved in (outside of local peacekeeping)?  The Falklands....  maybe the first Gulf War (the first part liberating Kuwait).

No criticism of those serving....it's the ones hiding behind their power I despise for taking advantages.

As they say, war never solved anything, except slavery, genocide, naziism, fascism, and terrorism...

Theres a huge culteral shift in young people these days. As a kid, nearly every lad at school had an air rifle or airsoft gun at home. People would talk about the military at school and half the lads I knew had aspirations to join the military. Now theres not a huge interest in the military for a number of reasons (mostly they know its a lot of work for little pay) and people just dont have the desire for it. I think this goes hand in hand with airsoft and most people outside of the sport see it as an old mans game outside of their own interests.

As for changing that i do think social media influence is the only way to reach younger people. There more youtubers (licking spunkstain excluded) that can post content that appeals to younger people the better. Kids now just want to play call of duty and sit around, so if more content was to reach younger audiences showing exciting gameplay then i think more people would play.

  2. Hey guys. Please check out the page @drt.nap on instagram. Buddy of mine is trying to get a small buisness up and running. Might be of interest to some on here. Offers custom military tailoring and some individual works.

Some pretty gucci gear that will hopefully interest you. Currently running a giveaway of 2 pairs of custom g3 shorts so please check it out

  3. Been spraying kit for a while. Thought id share a few tips ive learnt over time.

Halfords camo spray paint is top quality for price, works just as well as higher priced brands like krylon and EC paint.

Best way to make stencils is put a laminator sheet through the laminator to get a thin perspex like sheet. Then trace the camo patterns off the back of a shirt and cut with an exacto knife. Gives nice clean lines.

Stencils held away from the item you are spraying gives less clean edges which actually work really well for camouflage.

Using a light colour spray far away from the finished product to create a light dusting that dulls all the colours youve sprayed.

Airfix/ modelling matt sealents work well to protect the items from lots of chipping

Dhobi mag/netting works ok as a spray template, but can look bad as a finished product. Using a net with bigger holes works a lot better to break up shapes.

Appreciate most people probably already know this stuff but hopefully helps someone.

  4. HOLY SHITBALLS! They're not cheap!

Having exercised a bit of google-fu it appears that specific mount is made by Sage and costs $200. Plus nobody seems to want to ship to the UK.

Why do I always want the most expensive bits? :(

Because us airsofters have expensive taste :P and they make good looking stuff expensive

  5. It has come to the point where i am in need of a new pair of boots. I have always used 8 inch boots, however i am liking the look of 6 inch boots. What do you guys use? What are the pros and cons of each?

I have been looking at a few pairs, and the ones that really take my eye are the 5.11 taclite which come in 6" and 8".

I saw a post on the Australian Airsoft Association Facebook page where they were asking people if they'd play with guns like that if they could count it on a first step to get airsoft legalised lol.

I was amazed how many said they would.

I was a big no for this haha thats like saying you can have a steak for dinner, or eat shit
