  1. I'd add if you like realism and interaction the MWS is a joy to operate, love slapping the bolt release every mag change
  2. The MWS mags hold 100rds+ worth of gas once modded. Having had an MP7 they are good on gas but have very small gas reservoir. I don't think there is a more efficient GBBR than the likes of the MWS & MP7 PS I'm selling an MWS haha shameless! The MWS IMO is a semi auto tool so not blasting through rounds like you would an MP7 Indoor most likely
  3. You need The from sight to hold the forward rail ring. To achieve what you want you need a folding front sight post like Vltor's one or a free float rail system.
  4. I don't understand what you are trying to achieve? Do you have a free float rail system to fit instead or are you just taking it apart to get to the hop unit? On the front hand guard remove the button head Allen screw near rail section T14, then the upper rail comes off. Then pull the delta ring back and the lower rail comes off. Then you can remove the front sight post with the gas tube still attached. The delta ring doesn't need the gas tube.
  5. The metal rod (dummy gas tube) is pinned to the front sight and slot thru the delta ring and into the upper receiver. Watch some YouTube vids, its disassembly / reassembly is well covered
  6. Ha punch that little pin out too just to the left of your red circle of doom I leave that pin out on mine as its really not necersary and just slows disassembly!
  7. There is one small grub screw on the underside of the front sight unit, and there are 2 punch pins, you need to knock them out from the fire selector side / left side through to the mag release / right side. Take note of the pins orientation so you put them back the same way around and in the same hole.
  8. An AEG or BASR can only impart the volume of air available within the cylinder at the expansion/power rate of the spring pushing the piston. For the most part this push is also fairly constant. With a GAS setup you have an infinite 'volume of air', and the volume required also adjusts itself automatically (via the floating valve) to whatever weight BB is being fired, its like re setting your cylinder to barrel ratio every time you shoot. Where does the extra energy come from? If you set a GBB(R) to an FPS of 328 / 1J with 0.2g for example it will for example take 1 second to accelerate the BB out of the barrel using 10cc of air (all hypothetical!) If you now load a 0.4g BB it will take 2 seconds and 20cc of air, automatically adjusted, because the heavier BB is in the barrel for more time, more energy can be imparted to it. Now when we chrono we are clocking 290 FPS, which equates to 1.5J Should explain moreover https://2shots1kill.com/joule-creep-testing/
  9. Yeh I count out my rounds, that way you know where you are and sometimes you change mag prior to an assault or likewise. @sonofsammo make sure to lube all seals and gaskets when assembling so that everything can seat in. Got me another MWS mmmmmmm To anyone on the fence, get one! You only live once hah!
  10. They are great pieces of kit, i think it will be a long time untill something better is produced. I dont want to, or mean to start any off topic convo on Wo1f's nice thread but i would love TM to make a HPA variant of these, properly, not tapped mags.
  11. Now I don't own and have not stripped a Krytac Vector but looking at the quoted FPS and the short barrel I would hazard a guess at it being an M100, 110 at a push. Regardless the FPS is close enough that if it was mine I would trim the spring rather than swap it out. Being short barrelled I'd bet that a spring trim will have a greater reduction in FPS than a longer / normal barrelled gun. Interested to hear if someone know the actual spring rate for sure
  12. Yes for an AEG a spring change is the energy source and most common method, especially if you need to drop a decent amount of FPS e.g. 30. For a drop of 5-15 you can trim the spring, e.g. cut off a coil Heavier BB weight will show a lower FPS reading but is a false reading, the energy is still the same so no you cannot. As a general rule 99.99% of places chrono on 0.20s even if for example you played using 0.25s
  13. Seriously if you are playing CQB or even mild field set your FPS at 1j / 328 max, those extra 10-20 FPS doesn't make jack difference to range or accuracy, all your doing is limiting the amount of sites you can play at and hurt people even on 0.2s
  14. And I'm jealous of 3D software. Never had the time to learn it yet
  15. Yep I like at least thread diameter for tapping depth too! I take it back use the threaded standoff, studlock one side in. Can you get turnbuckles that small? That way you could have left and right hand thread to stop the wrong part coming undone. 2mm SS will be stiff, nice! If the dowels were like a pastry rolling pin they would locate everything and be contained / retained by the side plates. Going to make a reaming jig up? Soz I like design thinking
  16. Awesome, so nice to see what's going on when building a box! Even if you can't find a place local the company I use for water jet courier for a tenner. Because you want the most precise cut finish and I'm assuming you want to avoid machining processes I would say get them laser cut rather than water jet and cut to the highest finish, fast/coarse laser leaves less than desired cut finish which would make bearing fitment meah. Alignment of all parts is critical as is making sure nothing can walk. If you use SS plate you can thread one side and CSK the other negating the threaded standoffs. Put a few straight dowel pins through to key all parts together. I don't know what 3D composites are available, but Nylon66 for example is hard as but is so sensitive to temp change, like a couple of degrees C can grow a thousands of an inch, enough to ruin a nice shim job. Im looking forward to a precocked P90
  17. I'm getting carried away but this would be pimp with stainless side plates and thermally stable engineering composite centre bodies mmmmm
  18. Oh draw in a pinion peep hole
  19. I like that you've disconnected the cutoff micro switch from gear contact. Good job!
  20. You clever ba$tid! As Ali G would say, Restecp
  21. Currently doin tax return and 'Paul Oakenfold' 'Dreadrock' has come up on my random play, Yes the Matrix tune!
  22. Looks like you've got a bit of a problem there, some kind of drum addiction. In game you can imagine the opposition thinking 'he'll change mag soon then il get him'. So with the KWA, aside from 1:1 realism and heavy recoil is it the best performer range and accuracy wise? Out of the AEGs which is the best performer?
  23. I've played with a Krytac, not all that impressed TBH, been keen on getting a KWA for a loooooong time, interested to hear why the KWA was your fave rocketdogbert?
