I've seen bikes mentioned in posts a few times recently & went searching for any bike threads.

Another old thread resurection...(it is nearly Easter after all). Pretty much had a bike most of my life from my 17th birthday when I bought my first, a Yamaha RS100T (silver), no CBT back then so it got dropped many times, replaced it with a Honda CB125 which I was eventually knocked off it by some guy in a cortina(I still have a dent in my thigh to this day), left my job so bought a boneyard Suzuki GT250 that I rebuilt out of parts from my girlfriends dad's garage, always had to bump start it as the kickstart never worked properly, a few years later I passed my test on a Honda CB125 which I then gifted to a friend & bought a Honda CB900F the very next day, almost killed myself a couple of times on this but it was stolen a few years later. Family dynamics led to my ex & myself both needing transport for work & I got a CB1000F as my commuter(the blue one), soon realised the bike was a luxury so it was garaged for about 6 years, by the time I was able to ride regularly again it was a costly repair so the red CB1000F was it's replacement but not practical for work so a Honda 650 Deauville took on this role. Ill health meant I had both CBR's & the Deauville off the rode for many years until I sold the last one around 6 months ago. Never been a 'biker' but always loved bikes & would happily have a mancave filled with desirables if I had the space... Honda CBX, Kawasaki AR125, Suzuki Katana 100 to name but a few.

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
gavinkempsell replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
It wasn't too bad thb, 4m to the car the 4m back into the house, I usually take about 3 but wanted to air the gbbr's the L85 carbine was the only one I knew would pass the crono if the rest didn't. -
What have you just 3d printed (for airsoft)

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
gavinkempsell replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
Did a morning stint at POW near Falkirk, Was in the red team (holding up the rear as usual), on the attack and my first time using a GBBR, the XM177 performed well despite the cold, only miss behaving after around 4 mags but I'm claiming a couple of kills from the 1st game & respawned about 3 times which us about par for me. Used the respawns to reload & discovered I'd much rather use a small reloader for the gas mags as the odin adaptor didn't seat very well without a thump. I honestly don't know if we won the game but the yellows were down to only a couple of players & we were all shooting at one sniper as far as I could make out as the game ended (I'll assume the bomb was planted). Second game were were defending our '88s' and TBH this is one game we've played a few times while I was in attendance so I felt comfortable planting my arse behind a barrier in ambush mode (decided to use an L85 aeg for this game with a few highcaps), in my experience the first flag is often captured fairly quickly but not on this occasion the reds covering it held out for a good portion of the game, meanwhile a few sneaky yellows tried to capture our flag but were held off to the bitter end. Game was called off due to a 'mandown' but I don't think this was far from the end of time anyway so lets call it a draw. Pretty sure I got 1 kill & 1 possible (the sneaky yellow was getting shot at from a few of us) & no respawns. Took my... Scar-H gbbr, it hated the cold so wasn't used XM177 gbbr, worked pretty well, locked open a few times due to the cold but felt good in game L85A1 aeg(with dd rail), forgot to reattach the bipod (DOH!) but had good range and accuracy, the SUSAT was limiting on zoom but fine without it applied L85 carbine aeg, plan B, but didn't need it as all my other pews passed the crono test Mk18 aeg, just wanted to see how it felt in game but it only left the boot of my car to crono & collected my Honeybadger from the local tech, all my pews are now under my roof again but where the hell will I put it? Will deffo wait for the warmer weather before I take my gbbr's out again (basically 1 week in July here in sunny Scotland) -
The stupid amount of kit I'm taking tomorrow... Added the L85 carbine as it's the only one that has passed the site crono... plan B. p.s. there's a two tone glock in the bag too.

I prefer to use the rule of thumb... rake through my tub of mixed & try and find the same shade, I know the whites are .3's & I know the off whites are .2's anything else is shot down my garden. Not scientific but it works for me.
-
Wait... I thought Novritch was a brand of rifs, is this a celeb meet day or a come try our wonderful pews day?
-
Just a simple thought of... Oh, toastie! has led to this question. charging my batteries for Sundays game of playing soldiers, I noticed my lipo's don't seem to get warm when charging (not noticably anyway) , but my Ni-MH's do, so what's the science to this please? for reference I use a Nuprol Power Compact Intellegent charger. it's used on the correct setting for each type of battery (not making that mistake again) & it's never left unattended.

Was thinking this way too, I generally leave my kit in the boot rather than carry it all to a table in the safezone.

Doubt I'd have the puff for full auto.

How to attract new players to Airsoft?

Yeah... KickingMustang. ? -
I only get to skirmish every couple of months due to work and on the 10th I'll be at POW in Scotland, so in preperation for my day I've been setting up my pews, hop, sights etc... got the Scar H, set up nicely but I honestly don't know if I can be arsed with the weight of the pew & mags, think I'll get the XM177 ready tomorrow but at the moment I expect I'll prob use L85 & Mk18 aeg's instead. I know I should use the GBBR's due to the cost but don't know if I want to, convince me/change my mind... please!

TBH, this is the best idea IMO, a few years ago (ok, decades) as a teen in the ATC, we had an evening running around the local links with a capture the base gameplay, was great fun & OMG, having a usable firearm would have been awesome. Show it as it is... honesty is the best policy. -
fair enough, sounds like you're better elsewhere.

if this didn't have the arm rest/hook I would never had bought it, that's what makes it a spas-12 to me.
