It depends on which AEG you have but if you're referring to your LT-32, you should only need to remove the butt stock and buffer tube (with a bolt in the tube) to access the QCS where a hex head should push in the spring guide at the back of your gearbox, where you'd do a quarter turn to release the guide and spring. Whether an M100, M95 or M105, etc, by the same brand would be suitable depends a lot on how good your compression is with the cylinder.

Sorry to hear that. It's genuinely infuriating. It's not weird at all that airsoft helps with depression. It's like going to the gym or any other activity that releases endorphins. I hope you get it all back.

Selling old SR4, no idea what the value would be
Galvatron replied to Fennsterr's topic in Appraisals
£40 if it cycles well. How had this been stored? If don't know if that's tape on the bag or genuine discolouration of the BBs but I'd be loath to fire them in any airsoft gun I care about. -
I think our friend has experienced the onset of a post-high moment of clarity. His pricing is less ridiculous but still overly ambitious here https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/gas-powered_1/tokyo-marui-m4a1-mws-gbbr-z-sistem_i78065

He wants nearly £700 and can't write his own description with concrete specs? Are the mags possibly leaking? Is the eye protection possibly only rated for dust and not Z87/EN166 safety? Is the tactical vest possibly one of those cheap Amazon jobbies?

Whitney Houston springs to mind with the phrase "Crack is cheap"...

Would we be right in guessing that when you say you have a "pretty old M4", it's a somewhat vanilla style of M4? A vanilla M4 gives you a lot more motor options with a regular M4/AR-15 style grip. If you have something a bit left field like a pistol grip for example, you may have fewer options because you may have a few degrees difference where the motor engages with the bevel gear so proprietary parts may be at play and possibly a hindrance. Perhaps you should disclose which M4 you have in case there are those more learned than us who may know if there are pitfalls to watch out for? I had bought a couple of items in the past from Phenix Airsoft and Airsoft Store if you prefer to buy from the EU.

UCAP doesn't surprise me and I think it's reasonable. With a weight cap, it saves having to enforce an MED in the CQB areas of their mixed outdoor and indoor sites. At least that's what I assume the rationale is.

Wolf Armouries put itself up for sale before Bunker 51 went under though you can't see the closure helping matters. AGL Airsoft is also just 5 minutes away on foot and while it's not sprawling with products, it has value-added services with a shooting range. I haven't been there but I'd imagine its staff are less... curmudgeonly than those at Wolf Armouries.

Going by a few items they have on clearance, they look like they have some debt in items they can't even give away for people to find use in them. Just about all of the phones for those Magpul cases are obsolete where today's apps won't run on them and/or they would be useless for data out of the home or office because they only don't have 4G or 5G connectivity.

Minus the bitterness, as if the people he's trying to sell to are to blame.
-
As Enid said, did you send him a DM or did you only post on the listing for the M110? If so, it's too late now it's sold but messaing directly is the best way to go unless they list a phone number to call/text them on

I had this. One bloke listed an item I was interested in. He hadn't logged in for a few days and when I checked again, the item had sold but he didn't say anything.

On a good day, I'd guess £300 to 350. The mods will only offer so much value. It would be worth clarifying if the inner barrel ends within the length of the outer barrel or if it goes within the length of the suppressor/mock suppressor. It's probably also worth specifying which Prommy bucking is being used and what colour NGAL laser you have - some sites don't allow green lasers.

https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37883-4-gun-bundle The seller seems to have had a big and unpleasant divorce from reality.

The gold edition is new but the VSR-ONE itself? Not so much

The harsh reality is that two-tone airsoft guns depreciate much worse than than their RIF equivalent when all else is equal since the market for two-tone is mostly those without a defence to buy a RIF. 60-70% of current retail (not what you paid) is your typical going rate for used RIFs in good cosmetic and functioning condition to nigh-on pristine and perfect functioning condition. Two-tone will often fall below 60% because you have a smaller market of people interested in buying them since most people with a valid defence to buy a RIF will buy a RIF over two-tone. As EDcase said, to make the most money is to sell separately but it takes more effort and it will take longer to shift all of it. If you want it gone quickly, a bundle with a few deal sweeteners such as mags, ammo, batteries, a case, etc. will be your best option but expect to take a bigger loss than selling separately. I know I'm twisting the knife in saying this but G&G's GC16 and CM16 series with ETUs/MOSFETs are among the worst airsoft guns to sell & resell because they're not price-competitive any more. You can get M4 derivative guns from Double Eagle and Specna Arms with integrated ETUs/MOSFETs that have more programmable features at a price that undercuts G&G's offerings massively.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Galvatron replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
A lot of sites do them of varying frequency. Driver Wood does a boot sale every 4th Sunday of the month Skirmish Airsoft Billericay partnered with Essex Airsoft Boot Sale for today's event. The latter had its own in Colchester back in February. RIFT Airsoft's annual "Shift Your RIFTs" has a weekend-long boot sale along with a few retailers under gazebos in addition to the skirmish events Red Alert has a boot sale every month or so The Midlands Airsoft Fair is set to return to Newark Showground in June. Last year it had both boot sellers and retailers, the latter of which had a few freebies such as morale patches, small carabiners, etc. -
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. The gun owner had some responsibility for not having some basic knowledge of absolute no-nos but the site owner/manager is more responsible for the reasons you started. He eventually did accept responsibility by settling the cost of repairs. I think he was as casual and non-chalant about it because he admitted to doing it before and having no complaints. The fact that he didn't think to check if there was a quick-change spring bothers me the most.

"But I paid more than that when I bought it! Its two-tone is only 30% scuffed and I've only dropped the mag 6 times!"

A (repro) Vortex Micro 3x scope, purchased today at the Essex Airsoft Boot Sale. -
On playing at Precinct 13, I've been of two minds of playing there. It's nothing to do with the "Drillgate" incident, I've seen a load of YouTube videos with a lack of tactical skill or planning being "made up for" by trigger spamming that may as well be full auto as well as pre-emptive firing. That's not for me.

Unfortunately, he is to blame as well for going ahead with it and not knowing his own hardware. The owner had allegedly sunk a grand into his gun and tech work without learning so much as it having a QCS. The hole was drilled into the nozzle and it brought the gun down within the limit but the owner found that not only did his gun not fire inaccurately, swarf from driling the nozzle got into the gearbox so you can imagine the number that did. FAO's manager tried to downplay it saying he explained the purpose of drilling the hole and that the owner consented to it. He did compensate the owner for the cost of repairing his P90. No, I'm not that owner. I did all my own tech work on mine without a drill. 🤣

Thankfully not. 😅 A player's gun was too hot for the chrono test so the site manager offered an unorthodox "solution" by drilling the nozzle of the said player's gun so it would fall within the joule limits. It could all have been solved with a quick-change spring swap out.
