Which retailers in the UK accept Just-Cos Cosplayer Insurance?
Jamsandwich replied to superwok's topic in General Discussion
I found that too but still not convinced that its linked to that guy. You're right! Seems he has been involved in the Medical Device supplies industry for awhile, looking at his profile. My assumption is that his UKARA is possibly some kind of failed start-up, especially given the timing (2020!). Maybe he didn't have enough buddies in the Tory party. I might be wrong though, didn't see any real details on the UK Authorised Rep site gave a start-up date. Do you think we can get our RIFs reclassified as medical devices and go through these guys instead? -
latest banning things that are already banned legislation

That white thing with the ribbed handle looks like it could cause some discomfort at the very least... -
😫 Oh no! I've never had a period, should I see a doctor? Should I click the link?? But more seriously, it takes them very little effort to just run the tool and have it spam everywhere. It's probably targeting the host or tool used by this forum rather than the forum itself. The more spam they more chance they'll find an idiot.

Check out this thread, it's got loads in by now...

What brand BBs are best nowadays? Bang for buck.
Jamsandwich replied to Alex34's topic in General Discussion
If your gun is travelling at 300fps then your BB will be travelling at 300fps anyway. Along with all the BBs in the magazine...and the magazine. If you happen to be attached to your gun then you'll be travelling at 300fps too! I'm not sure relativism has much to do with it at that point, though you might get some funny looks off the marshalls. -
Can I suggest that you change the poll text slightly to target only those that have bought and paid for a patch. I know it's implicit in the context of your issue (with the patch), but with this poll text you're likely to have people voting no for where they haven't bought one. Will seriously skew your results. Maybe even add a 3rd option for people who haven't bought one, for engagement purposes.

Figured its about time I shared my 20 year old TM Steyr AUG. Still my only AEG and running perfectly with some upgrades over time. Still want to play about with the under barrel rails but this does the job for now and doesn't look too bad. A barrel clamp with Rail riser attached. I got a 3D printed rail similar to the AUG HC piece but need to modify it a little to fit. Also need to get the Feyachi magnifier to sit behind the reflex sight (which is sitting quite far back as I needed to fit the lens protector on (not an issue when I get the Red Dot Eng. protectors in.

I think I get what you're saying. Somebody on Youtube with the kind of audience the KM has should be out there making the case for our hobby and bringing in new people. Instead, he's just a knob potentially putting people off. -
It's weird how people now automatically turn to AI rather than good old photoshop. This is most likely a photoshop. I don't think it has any of the marks of an AI image. Guess AI is the trendy word but it annoys me when people use it in the wrong places. Thinking about it, I'm sure anybody walking about in Londonderry looking like that is gonna be handled pretty quickly even without the links to HAMAS!

Silo released a video not too long ago about the same kinda thing. He puts airtags on his now apparently (link below). Sad to think we got to resort to shit like that, but I guess not everybody is community-driven.

Helikon-Tex History of Camouflage eBook
Jamsandwich replied to Jamsandwich's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
To be fair they did very briefly mention the use of camouflage by hunters prior to WW1 but it was just a sentence. It's a fairly well written brief read, though I'm guessing it's acting more as a marketing tool mostly discussing patterns that they sell with a few others. Must say, I'm slightly tempted to try Pencott as a result. The bit on camouflage in the animal kingdom was quite amusing in its simplicity but I think my favourite bit was the TigerStripe pic after all the other camo patterns being presented in actual environments. -
Hey guys, Got an email come through from Helikon recently to download a free eBook all about the history of camouflage (mainly Europe). Helikon-Tex Link I haven't read through it all but it's short and quite interesting in a nerdy way. You have to subscribe to the newsletter but it's easy enough to unsubscribe afterwards and I quite like their gear anyway. Screen grab from the back -

Aug double trigger doodad and a MOSFET walk into a bar....
Jamsandwich replied to Egon_247's topic in Electric Guns
Yeah, I just splashed out cos I got sick of having to apologise after accidentally sending off a few more shots than intended. The option to lock to semi or even burst or binary now is awesome. My AUG is the only RIF I use so happy to spend a little more (considering I've had it 15 years or so!). Good luck with your install anyway. -
Aug double trigger doodad and a MOSFET walk into a bar....
Jamsandwich replied to Egon_247's topic in Electric Guns
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'm a bit of a noob and other more experienced people here could probably give you a direct answer. With that said, I did recently fit the Perun AUG mosfet to my old TM AUG. I got rid of the trigger bar completely (now magnetic trigger) but not sure what you mean by the cut off lever. Perhaps you could post a picture of what you have. Also, this Youtube vid might help. He breaks into the gearbox around 11 mins or so - -
Should've gone to...oh, you did...

The Wehrmacht uniform?! That's one of those quite specific kinks 😉

I ordered from VapexTech not too long ago. Can't remember how long it took but wasn't too long and it did arrive. No dispatch email was sent. Give it a little longer, it should arrive. As far as I could tell, they're about the best battery retailer for UK just now. They have the stock at good price and not mental P&P.

Thought I'd check out the Ambush trailer as I've never even heard of it. That's gone straight into the 'Nope' pile. I was really surprised by The Covenant though. It went very CoD towards the end but it was solid enough with a pretty good message.

Reasonably priced lightweight chest rig
Jamsandwich replied to Dan Robinson's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I really like my Condor Ops chest rig. You can get their pre-set chest rigs for about £60 if that's your range. They do a similar rig to the Bulle above but I like having a bit more MOLLE up front - https://www.military1st.co.uk/mcr6-001-condor-rapid-assault-chest-rig-olive-drab.html I got the un-built one and added my own Flecktarn pouches, along with the "bib" and the hydro harness. Its a great modular platform. -
I saw your post on this a while back. I was gonna do it but then plumped for the more expensive option and got myself the Perun AUG ETU/mosfet. Other than cramming the gearbox back in with the cable attachment length connected to the motor it was a breeze to fit and it shoots real nice. But yeah, not a budget option!

I still exclusively use my ancient TM AUG A2 from many moons ago and I love it (has been modernised recently). I can't speak for any of the other brands, but just wanted to drop a note to be mindful of the scope rail. On my TM at least its a Weaver rail as opposed to picatinny. I recently had to Dremel out an extra section to fit my most recent scope purchase.
