  1. Negative Luke was not hugely impressed with the Kestrel V2, although it may fit much better in the DE gearbox.
  2. An antiques dealer would price it at about £250.

    🤣😂🤪 You're having a giraffe!
  4. A second hand, resprayed two tone for well over the price of a new one; I can't see the problem.
  5. Those were the days! For some reason, my Hurricane SR47 would not feed their BBs; every other gun loved them, but not the SR47.
  6. Cool gear! What does polsim involve? Do you take part in milsims as a police force or do you do specific polsim events with other players as villains?
  7. Bloody hell! This is better than Eastenders! What did you do to merit being kicked out at 2AM? Going back in and lifting some of her stuff is a bad idea; it is theft and could seriously worsen your situation. Keep the right on your side.
  8. I agree with Rogerborg; you don't need one of the in-gearbox units. A decent mosfet, such as the Perun AB++ or, if you do not want pre-cocking, a Gate NanoAAB, will do the job. Changing the gears to 16:1 will give a slight additional improvement but a new motor, a higher voltage battery, a mosfet and Deans will probably be enough.
  9. The first thing to do might be to change the motor for something like an SHS or Rocket high torque one. That will give you both better trigger response and a higher rate of fire. If that fails to please you, you could run it on an 11.1v battery, although you would be inflicting more pain on the trigger contacts and moving parts. if it is a rear wired solid stock version, a 9.9v LiFe battery, in conjunction with one of the aforementioned motors should bring a smile to your face while not overly stressing the gears etc. if you are going to go for a simple mosfet, make sure that it is a hardwired one rather than one of the plug and play ones; the latter do nothing to increase the longevity of your trigger contacts. Getting rid of the fuse and changing the connectors to Deans, if they are Tamiya, will also help.
  10. I will believe it when I have one in my hands.
  11. MAS Modele 36. Yes, very disappointed in King Arms; however, I suspect that they are aware of the limited market for the L1A1 and FAL.
  12. One of those days when the world conspires to stop you enjoying yourself but you still manage to.
  13. This morning I wandered off to Tower Airsoft in Essex, which is one of my regular sites. It is a small site with some good structures including a castle, a church, a village and a bridge. It also seems to attract a good type of player. Their game days are run very well by Miguel, who some may know from CAMO, a shop and CQB site on Canvey Island (home of the magnificent Dr. Feelgood). I have been there when there were 100+ people, although the usual attendance is about 40 to 50. On this cold morning, with a pretty grim weather forecast, 20 people turned up. It really was cold and I was very pleased to have my French army heavyweight fleece for the pre-game time in the morning; it is the warmest item of clothing that I have ever owned. Despite, or maybe because of, the lack of numbers, it was a very good day. The games were well adapted to the low number of players and ran well, with good play from both sides. Alongside "normal" airsoft games, there was a fun game of armed American Football, using the bus windows as goals. Trying to score a field goal proved to be a somewhat perilous activity. Perhaps it will catch on as a new sport. Guns used: LCT PP-19-01 "Is than an MP5?" 🤬 APS UAR, with King Arms AK style M4 mags, just to make it look even weirder. 😈 Milbro Classic CO2 M1911.
  14. Hi Kirsty, G&G Combat Machine M4 rifles are superb entry level guns for about your price range, as are the CYMA guns, especially their AK style ones; the latter are massively better than the £40 low power gun that he had before.
  15. How much play/wobble is a lot? Sending it back is a bit dramatic; as EDcase has stated, some slight bending usually gets it to fit better if required. Not that different from the real ones.
  16. To misquote George Pickett, I always thought them being wankers had something to do with it.
  17. Freight shipping costs from China are indeed back to where they were before Covid or even below. Shipping companies (as in the people who run the ships rather than shipping agents) are reducing the number of voyages in an attempt to prevent their income collapsing completely by. With many factories in China closed because of the constant lockdowns and a slump in demand, there is more shipping capacity than is needed. However, with Winnie the Pooh now secure in his third term in office, it seems that the lockdown policy in China is easing, so more product might be available soon.
  18. Making such threats is potentially a criminal offence; the police would be the appropriate route for escalation.
  19. £150 from Patrol Base with one magazine. Bollocks! Should have checked if anyone else had commented.
  20. I strongly recommend Revision Sawfly glasses with their own prescription inserts. I have used them for a few years now, along with either Cat Crap or Absolutely Clear anti fog, although the Revision wipes are good as well. If you go for the Sawflys, use the MAX lenses to give your eyes extra flank protection. They will stop a shotgun blast, so at least your eyes will survive as the rest of your head disintegrates!
  21. https://www.begadi.com/selector-plate-fuer-agm-mp007-mod-40.html?___store=en&___from_store=de Unfortunately, postage to the UK is eye-watering thanks to Brexit.
  22. Ah, that wonderful German precision and efficiency!
  23. Blimey, that really is a reduction in size; I have rather fond memories of setting off rather large pyro charges in that area.
