You don't have to attach it to your gun. Do you have the version with the 17mm hole? -

You are conflating two entirely different things. His alleged financial success through YT does not negate his many failings as an airsofter and, more importantly, as a human being. One does need to declare YT income; however, that calculation is deeply flawed as it assumes that the initial number of daily views is maintained over the year. -

Or both? There have always been gullible sheep out there; the likes of George "Beau" Brummell and the other dandies were earlier incarnations of the "famous for being famous" phenomenon. -

No, people slag him off because he is a cheating crybaby who is far more interested in generating revenue than in playing airsoft. Faking hit markers, spawn camping, going out of bounds and creating confrontations are how he abuses our hobby. He gets very upset when people give it back to him. -

My son and I share a JG G3; it is surprisingly rigid. £100 is a good price. Plastic is a polymeric material, so you did get a polymer RIF -
All of them? How many were there?

Today saw a return to Splatoon in Essex; this is a relatively small site, which is mostly used for paintball with twice monthly airsoft events, alongside occasional police firearms training sessions. It has a range of wooded areas with different types of cover in each, as well as an open area with a helicopter at each end, assorted cars and lots of container buildings. It also has a very good safe zone with endless tea and coffee for £1 and is one of the few sites that provides a vegetarian option for lunch. I had arranged to meet up with my old airsoft buddies, the father and son team of Andy and George, who I had not played alongside since before Covid as they usually play in deepest Kent and I tend to play in Essex. At chrono, my ARX160 was running very low but still slinging BBs a ridiculous distance, so I decided to use it for the morning anyway; the VZ58 was used after lunch. The day started off with a long fallback game; as the attackers, we had infinite regens on a marshal, while the attackers had one life in each of two wooded areas and the two halves of the open area. Getting into the first wooded area is always difficult as it requires the attackers to run across the front of the defenders; we took a lot of hits and got quite badly held up for a while. However, after massing for a charge, we broke into the area and fought our way through it, eventually declaring it clear and being relieved to find that we had not missed any defenders as each missed player adds 30 seconds to the time. Having cleared that area, we pressed on into the next one, which fell rather rapidly. Next, we had to break into the first part of the container field, which is tricky as the entry is quite restricted and under file from the defenders. Eventually, we pushed in and reached the first helicopter, which provides the first bit of cover. From there, we slowly pushed the enemy back; the three of us were mostly pushing along the right flank, clearing defenders from behind various cars, the edge of the woods and several containers. Once that half of the field was cleared, we had to get one player to the grey helicopter at the far end of the final area. This proved tricky as the area is well set up for defence, so we wore the enemy down before charging the helicopter led by one of our largest players, who managed to get his hands on it. After a quick break to mag up, the game was reversed; despite hard fought defences of each area, the enemy achieved their objectives somewhat more rapidly than we had managed. This was followed by a simple domination game with regens on fixed locations; three spinners are located across the site and the teams have to turn the spinner so that their colour is facing upward. Initially, most of our team headed toward the container village, securing the spinner there. However, news came through that the enemy were in control of the other two spinners, so a group of us set out to assist our colleagues in the central area of the field. We took the spinner and pushed the enemy back; despite several counter attacks, we kept them at bay until the end of the game, while our colleagues in the container village held on to their spinner quite handily. Next came a game where the attacking team had to get a bomb to one of the helicopters and then to the other one; they could choose the order in which they did this. In the first stage, attackers had infinite regens, while defenders had three lives; once the first helicopter had been bombed, everyone was on one life. At this point it became obvious that some of our opponents were related to Usain Bolt, as they reached their first helicopter ridiculously quickly. However, we made it much harder for them in the second half and they failed to reach the second helicopter. On turning this game around, Usain Bolt's relatives again came to the fore, reaching both helicopters and locking them down before we could get there. Once they worked out that the black helicopter was our first target, we did not have a chance of reaching it and could not switch to attack the other helicopter as the team carrying the bomb had to drop it where they were hit, which was near the black helicopter. However, we had a good firefight before the game ended. It was a good day, with some excellent play from both sides. Weapons used: Umarex (S&T) ARX160 Ares VZ58 Cybergun 1911 Railgun

Welcome to the site. Please do give your local site a try; I am 60 and still play at least twice a month and know a couple of even more ancient players. It is a great hobby. As you are probably aware, in order for a seller to sell you a RIF (ie: a gun that is not two-toned) you need to demonstrate to them that you are going to use it for a legitimate purpose; the most common way of doing this is by getting a UKARA registration. You can do this by playing a minimum of three times in no less than 56 days at the same site; they can then put you on the UKARA database and might charge you a "membership fee" for the privilege.

Wow! What an unfortunate accident to have, especially for a fellow Norgie wearer. I hope you make a more rapid recovery than predicted and get back to playing again in the new year. It seems that your lass has the right spirit!

Today, I took another trip to Airsoft Plantation. Unfortunately, their other site, Tower Airsoft, is now only open on the last Sunday of the month; I miss the Saturday games there. Numbers were a bit lower than usual, which resulted in more open play. I took my newly built MPi-AK74N to set the hop and test the power; it came in at 1.24J, which isn't bad on an M100 spring! This was very much "smoke grenade day" at AP; every game involved designated "bomb runners" having to get smoke grenades somewhere and set them off. The first game of the day involved the Blue Team (that was us) having to transport two smoke grenades to the Town Hall in the village and set them off in it. We had infinite respawns on a marshal while the defenders had two lives, one of which had to be taken in a village structure, while the other had too be taken outside a structure. As a team, we decided to spread our attack across the front and left flank of the village. Initially, I went straight up the middle but it soon became obvious that the enemy had that area well covered. Having been hit, I regened and went up the right flank before cutting left into the village along with a number of other players. We pushed hard, supported by another group on our right flank, and got both smoke grenades into the Town Hall. This game was then turned around and it was our turn to defend; along with several others, I took up a position in the village suburbs, intending to hold up any flanking move by the Red Team. This went well for quite a while as, despite losses, we prevented the enemy pushing into the suburbs, picking them off as they tried to get close. However, some of our group had to redeploy further down the flank as we became aware that enemy players were flanking wide in attempt to attack the village from the rear, leaving us weakened. The enemy attacked again and I was hit, having to leave my structure and fight in the open. Noticing two enemy players who had flanked us and were behind a building, I moved up to it, peeked round a corner and took the first of them out with a couple of close range shots, followed by another enemy player who was in a bush just behind him. I ducked back behind the corner to try to work out what the other player behind the hut was doing; peeking around the corner again, I saw him and put three shots into his chest. He ducked back round the corner and, as I advanced, shot me in the face at point blank range, leaving a deep gouge and a lot of blood. Wanker! The Red Team failed to get either smoke grenade into the Town Hall. After a break to mag up (and clear up the blood), we started a new game. The Red Team started behind the Mortar Pits and had to get a smoke bomb into each of the Town Hall (village), the High Tower and the Boathouse. We started on the firebreak and had a 10 second head start to try to get into defensive positions. A group of us headed to the Boathouse and secured it; after a while, it became obvious that the enemy were not putting us under any real pressure so half of us decided to go on the offensive, attacking the Mortar Pits and moving up on the enemy's rear as they attacked the village and the High Tower, although we feared that the latter might have fallen as it is very close to the enemy's start point. After a stiff fight around the Comms Truck, we swept through the Mortar Pits and were buoyed up by waves and cheers from the remaining defenders of the High Tower, who had withstood many enemy assaults. We ended up attacking the enemy as they attacked the village: it was a very messy Red Team sandwich. After lunch, during which the player marshals were switched to the Red Team to try to get them going, our team took up a position at the DEA Base, with a mission to get a smoke bomb into the Town Hall. The Red Team started in the village and were tasked to get a smoke bomb into the cockpit of the plane at the DEA base. I stayed with the group defending the DEA base; after quite a while when not much happened, we noticed movement indicating that the enemy had flanked around the site and were attacking from our rear. Redeploying, we had a really good firefight with them, with lots of buddy regens on either side. After a long fight, I was hit and had to fall back 30 metres and and find an unengaged teammate to regen on. This proved impossible as everyone was in combat, so I set off to find our attacking team and regen on one of them. Just as I found them, our smoke bomb was set off in the Town Hall. Game over! This game was then turned around and a group of us went on a long flanking manoeuvre to do exactly what the enemy had tried to do to us in the previous game. Fighting through various ambushes and a poison gas attack and taking casualties, we approached the DEA base, only to be attacked by a lone enemy player who had crept up behind us. Most of us had to go back to find a friend to regen on. When we had regrouped, we pushed on again, only for the same player to do the same thing again. More regening and off we went again, this time keeping a good eye on our tactical rear. After a stiff fight, our smoke grenade was thrown into the cockpit, signalling the end of the game. It was a really good day, despite the incident with the wanker, which was dealt with really well by the marshals. Guns used: APS UAR LCT PP-19-01 Milbro M1911 Classic (CO2) Sounds good; it will be interesting to see how it develops.

You will have to change settings but it is not difficult; just follow the instructions.
