Double Eagle, some Specna, G&G (if you find a used one because brand new ones are absolutely overpriced), Saigo Defense etc. It's difficult to recommend because everyone and their mother makes one. What's inside is more important than how it looks.

Do we know why this one costs 700 pounds? https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/tokyo-marui-akx-gas-blowback-rifle/ I know that they have to make profit but this is insane. For 700 I buy a wolverine mtw and you can't even mention this two guns in one sentence. Also, a TM Mac-10 270?! 🤣

TM is a maybe but VFC? I don't think so. You have to look up Hong Kong based airsoft retailers like BoomsArms, Armsaholic, JKArmy, etc. to find custom made slides.
-
I don't think I asked them about anything but had no issues regarding delivery or the product. Some of these HK retailers don't give a damn about you and then on the other hand you've got rainbow8 or ehobbyasia who answer every email.

One thing you wish you knew coming into airsoft?

Financial awareness so you don't spend all of your money on airsoft. It's way more easier than you would think. -
That's why I use 300 lumen instead of 1000 on my pistol and never buying flashlights higher than 300 for my primaries. Yes, there is more to it than just lumen but it's not difficult to be a dick regarding flashlights. I had occasions when someone put a strobe on an elevatod platform and your shadow gives away your position even before you peek. I always refrained to shoot other people's equipment on purpose but I was considering it....😎

Strobe is such a cancer feature I'm always against it because it gives you huge advantage against anyone else. It's not fun to play against it and it's annoying. Any decent site marshall mentions and asks if everyone is okay with it. Also, if anyone is sensitive or has epilepsy it's out of question.
-
Yes it's totally dependant. I asked Warzone Coventry yesterday they said as long I don't abuse it and program it back to able to shoot full auto and it's checked regurarly and chronod they have no problems with electronically programmed DMR's.

Np. Let me know what kind of slide stop spring you need coz I've got an extra I don't need anyway. If it's important.
-
Hm. I put together a Marui G26 using a Guarder frame with a custom made slide and built a Marui G17 Gen. 4 using Guarder frame and Guarder alu slide. No sanding/issues/swearing. It seems you need luck in airsoft just like in real life. My go to usually Armsaholic, Boomarms, Rainbow8, Ehobbyasia etc. regarding parts. You certainly able to buy parts from Impluse101 but shipping isn't gonna cheap. Marui does only care about domestic market I'd very suprised if you could get parts from them directly.
-
Well you can change hop-up rubber, nub, inner barrel and hop-up unit and not opening up your GB. Compression is different. If it's your first gun or a back-up gun I wouldn't touch internals because it's just shit when you can't play because your gun in pieces at home (don't ask me how I know it :D). Just buy a cheapo m4 take it apart until the last screw and that will give you enough confidence regarding V2 gearboxes.
-
And have a look if your replica has extended magazine option. You can spend a lot more just on pouches and low cap gas mags than buying 2 50 rounders. Also, it looks so cool when a big stick is bigger than the gun. 🤣
-
I don't want to open my gb straight away. Just having bit of fun changing minimal amount of internals and have a feel for it before either jumping into a kythera or wolverine mtw. Rather spending 100 pounds on BB and parts and finding out okay this isn't for me than spending big boy money on stuff I won't enjoy. I think the whole dmr thing is only viable when you can outrange your opponent. Otherwise what's the point? Personally I'm not bothered about auto in general I played so much on semi indoor I use semi outdoor, too.
-
DMR has to be physically locked to semi? Real headache. I was so happy to buy my DE coz I can program it to safe-semi-semi.
-
Too many factors to consider so it's impossible to tell. Good airseal and a quality inner barrel can make a huge difference. Also, you need a rough idea regarding BB weight otherwise you are gonna end up joule creeping and they are not gonna let you to use your gun. I looked up a spring chart on ak24m and I decided to run 0.36 so I bought few different ones between M110-M140 for now. On one site your gun is perfectly fine and you go somewhere else and it's too hot on the same spring/same BB. That's why you need to able to lower your FPS. Real quick change spring system isn't that bad regarding this issue. You need a stronger motor to pull a stronger spring just keep in mind. For me an electric DMR is always a heavy stress build so it's not a bad idea to radius your GB and correct your AoE.

Some people treat their WE Glocks like a dog and it runs happily for them. For someone else it breaks after few games. Sadly this is airsoft reality. No QC in general. I'd say you could look into VFC Glocks as well. Similar price range as a Marui but they come with metal slides. Or buy a TM run it on GG until the slide cracks put a metal slide on it when it happens... happy days. All of them pressurised gases but as long as you don't try to open it up it's competely safe to store it.

CO2 is pain in the ass because of the cartridge. When temperature rised enough your gun is gonna be too hot to use it. Also, it's totally dry there is 0 lubrication just keep it mind. It's gonna matter regarding your rubber seals. And CO2 pressure is a lot higher than green gas so internals are gonna be under a lot of strain. I think CO2 has it's own place which is winter when traditional gases can't cycle your pistol. If you're dead set on CO2 I'd look into ASG CZ-09/Shadow etc. Marui makes the best gbb pistols out of the box but they come with plastic slides and you may not like that it how it feels or sounds when you rack it. And it's not manufactured for green gas but you can put a metal slide on it anytime if you wish. Plenty of aftermarket parts. If you refer "tan SIG" as M17/M18 VFC made them and I only read bad things about it. 😕 WE made one as well but I don't know if it's any good.

I shoot real steel every year when I go home so for me all of them are gimmick. For someone else it's the ultimate recoil experience. Nothing wrong with that. 🙂
-
All of them does the same job. Even the strongest recoil airsoft replica is laughable compared to real steel so I wouldn't worry too much about holding zero. It doesn't mean buy the cheapest rubbish you can find. Low profile is always gonna be either an RMR or red dot which can co-witness. I use a Feyachi RDS-25 but had Aim-O T1 before they're fantastic little things. All of them need lexan or killflash. If you want to spend proper money on it Vortex has lifetime warranty and I think they exchange your damaged optics if a BB shattered it. I would buy a proper scope and put an RMR on top of it or buy an offset rail piece and make it canted. "Holo" usually starts at Holy Warrior S1 but you can go lower price wise but expect more ghosting and parallax in general. Also, some of them can be borderline useless in broad daylight coz it's too bright for that particular replica.

Hm. I don't know if this kind of this grenade is gonna be allowed on sites. Basically it's just loud but does nothing else. But there could be a market for impact grenades which uses a loud bang noise if it hits a hard surface. Making different versions regarding dB so more sites could accept it instead banning everything. Imagine not spending money on primers..

Spent a few days to find a solution and closest one was 200 pound wall unit which you can see it in shops so I said fuck it I will build my own. Ordered some pegboards from ikea and liberated some timber from my workplace. I don't know how stable is I may die in my sleep when it falls apart. 🤣
-
It's a shame your gun doesn't have that pdw style stock coz it would take a 25 quid extension unit to make your life easier. You could try to source a Specna Arms crane stock. My old specna m4 has this stock and it has plenty of space.
-
Yeah I've just checked it. Your gun has a buffer tube with a crane style stock. You can certainly buy slim 7.4v lipo battery with 2 cells which should fit. I wouldn't be fixated on 11.1v to be honest. Just have a look on component shop. I know they exist I had one before.
-
You need a battery extension unit. Airtech Airsoft/Airtech Studios make them.

I don't think so but I'm not sure. Gen4 G17/G19 is different from Gen3 especially internally. For example BBU is redesigned and size of the guns are closer or the same like real steel ones. G17 Gen3 slide doesn't go on Gen4 because of size differences. Have a look you may ask rainbow8 or other retailers before you buy it. Gen3 Gen4
