  1. London is weird, I've worked there for 24 years, lived there for 6 years after graduating and travel all around it. No one really refers (in my experience) to "North East". Its either East London, or North..... which is weird as you do get South East. I do miss having the best range of choice when it comes to eating out, but that's about it. Hitchin and Arlesey are pretty easy to get to on Public transport - get the Vicky Line to Finsbury Park then East Coast mainline. Its just a matter of transporting pews and kit.
  2. Yep... that's the anti reversal latch spring. You'll have fun with that little fecker LOL
  3. The thought has occurred to me. Might test it with one of my flash hiders. Anyway...you better be in bed laddy.... its nearly 10pm there.
  4. 1000%. When talking to rentals looking at everyone's £700 load out I point out that my main pews are my cheapest because they give all the fun with none of the stress of breaking the expensive ones. The expensive ones are there for looks and not much more.
  5. Try 0.25s to start with. Your gun will be fine. 0.28s will punch through the foliage a bit better if the sites you play at have heavy cover. I'd be very surprised if it couldn't lift 28s nicely. No point going heavier.
  6. Nothing special i know, but I've Just bought that silicone insert for the Odin.....wow! It makes a mahoosive difference. Thinking I'm going to have another crack at using mid caps. Have learnt that my Odin spits out 12 bbs for every turn, which hopefully will help me lift the curse of poorly feeding mags.
  7. I'm still sorely tempted to take my FLiR i7 thermal camera I use for work....its fits nicely in one of my pouches. It's just a shame you can't use lense protectors with it though. Which is what's stopped me so far. Would certainly help finding those Bush Wookies.
  8. I came to the conclusion he was a prize knob end after seeing a few videos. He's one of the few people who I have "blocked" on YouTube because he kept coming up in my feed and all his content is the same shyte showing him to be a twat of the highest order. As with several YouTubers he uses those hit marks even when it's blatantly obvious the bb landed miles away. I do like watching Dutch The Hooligan. He seems like a good egg; actively encouraging younger players and apologising when he thinks he overkilled.
  9. It's an AA G36, never skirmished, fires fine, but the bbs often don't leave the barrel, sometimes they're coming out at 500fps. Want to get that dealt with, maybe the cocking mechanism changed for the WE version and the hop checked/upgraded.
  10. It was the "can be redone if wanted" that got me LOL.
  11. Interested - have two pistols and a Rifle that need attention.
  12. It is surprisingly comfortable - still undecided about the looks. Did you manage to get that Elcan for me? It is no longer available from you linky.
  13. Low turn out today at Spec Ops - less than 40 with a fair few rentals. The blue team ended up with a lot of newbies (to the site) and skins ended up with more regulars. The first timers were evenly split, but the end result was a little embarrassing for the blues. They moved a few of us regulars over at lunch which made a big difference to the outcomes and made the day more fun. Overall the smaller numbers were a benefit because it allowed the more experienced player help the first timers. Weather and conditions were also perfect with zero wind, gorgeous sunshine and a nice 12 degrees. Muggins here was responsible for a fair few friendly on friendly kills - but i put that down to having teammates appearing from places I had recently spotted enemies advancing from. I only took 4 pews - Glock 17, DE Honey Badger, ICS L85 and SVU. The latter of which chrono'd too low, and was pewing in a weird arc. L85, when powered by an 11.1 was pretty much an LMG. But didn't like firing on semi. Stick a 7.4 in there and it was fine, if not a little lethargic. Either way the fecker was laser accurate up to 45 metres and with .28s was cutting through the foliage nicely halting the advances of those thinking they were hidden. During a stint for the blues after lunch, I was holding one of the barrels that formed the bridge. Skins made a big push just as I suffered a dead battery. With no time to run to the spawn where my spare was, I switched to semi and pulled out my Glock. Problem being I knew I hadn't had a chance to gas them up at lunch; so it was a case of very carefully selected shots from the AEG and my three glock mags to cover the skins' advanced long enough for backup to come to my calls. End result was a victory for us thanks to the backup from teammates. Which meant too that I had great pleasure in getting the site's resident "runner" three times as he tried to push the objectives - there are a couple of regular teenagers renowned for rushing objectives so quickly that a defending team not prepared has no chance. - hence the marshalls moving me from team to team. LMG mode: Mando (regular mad sprinter) and I getting ready to extract the pilot:
  14. Dude- the one thing you must do is leave your mags at least partially gassed. Otherwise the seals will dry out and you'll have leak issues almost immediately .
  15. I'm starting to think setting up an exporting business could be a laugh when I move to Japan LOL. But seriously...who would have thought leaving a free trade and free movement block was a good idea ffs. Its caused havoc for us in the plumbing and heating world. Things have only just started to settle down.
  16. Welcome to the forum? What do you mean by NE London? How far could you get under your own steam? There's a few members here that use public transport to get to Skirmishes - @Asomodaiis in the London area and does this on occasion. I'm in the Hitchin area and don't mind giving peeps a lift to a skirmish I am driving to - usually Special Ops, occasionally AWA and Reforger. There's a new place near Hemel that I might go to at some point. Liftee's would need to get to and from Hitchin or Arlesey station though.
  17. That is truly cursed - but I kinda love it.
  18. When I was a teenagers I played (Rugby) for a club, the school, the County, and was in the squad for Gloucester U21s. On top of that I worked several evening's a week. Makes you wonder how you manage it when you get to our age. I feel tired just thinking about it.
  19. Not sure about Crapples and IOS - but I have an app on my phone, and a different one on my PC that compresses photos from several megabytes to a couple of hundred kilobytes. Maybe have a look at this app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/compress-photos-pictures/id1449007043 The forum only gives you 100mB of storage - and deleting messages won't delete the photos/attachments. Click on your user name on the top right of the page, then select "My Attachments". You get a page with your storage quota and a list of the pictures and files you have uploaded. I am 41% into my quota. You've been around a while, so I would think you have a rather full storage.
  20. How many pictures have you got uploaded to your account? Perhaps you have hit the limit of your storage - I had to have a clear out the other week. I also make sure I run any pics through a compressor first so they are no bigger than they have to be.
  21. Good luck with the physio and recovery. I'm 45 year old 130kg plumber and ex rugby player who rode/crashed motorbikes. Let's just say my knees are fucked. Had chunks of cartilage taken from both, the last time was literally the day before lockdown. The first time was the day before the London bombings. I both feel and hear your pain brother.... boy I miss those general anaesthetics.
  22. Welcome. Plenty of us go pewing on our own. You make friends, form allegiances, have temporary fire team buddies. Had a blast today with loads of younglings and rentals geeing them up and getting them rushing around (well mostly).
