Yeah just done it after using up some Google Fu. One cell is totally dead. Other two have a healthy voltage. Funny how the brain works. I knew the voltages of the cells were added together. I just didn't twig it would be cullmulative on the red wires on the balance plug. Just the Deans. Not going risk pushing a charge on it.
-
Might be being daft, but are you saying put both probes across a red each? Not using the negative? Thought that would upset the meter. Sorry I'm more used to AC voltage and volt free switching circuits.
-
No need to apologise bud.... They're certainly weird, but I had the wires out of the balance plug, measuring across the negative in the Deans. I've got a better meter to try, but I'm wondering if two cells are somehow working in series? Balance plug is mullered now anyway 🥴 Interesting maybe, but I just dropped it accidentally, and two reds touched, generating some entertaining sparks, and a toasty battery outer shell. I wouldn't have expected that (black wire was still secure in the balance plug).

8.1, 8.2, 4.08 across the balance plug. 8.17 on the Deans.

Nah, I've tried all sorts of modes with crocodile clips, leccy tape and a tin foil Sowester. The charger just yells in pain. Which the silly fecker should have done before killing one of my newst batteries. Still Saturday morning fun will be had zeroing in me SA80, and perhaps adjusting the hop on my newly repaired Speccy... I have a 7.4v where a wire snapped too close to the cells to be repaired safely. Between these two and my FLiR, it has not been a good month for be and batteries. Said FLiR battery is registering 0v which is very odd.

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

What does he do? Drop out of the Mag well, sprinting ahead to draw incoming fire? That would be awesome. -
Well I have reported the fundraiser to Go Fund Me.
-
I think what happened is that I charged a 7.4v battery, not realising there was an 11.1 still connected (it was flopped over the side of the counter). So somehow my charger has jammed 8 volts worth of angry pixies into 2 cells, whilst leaving cell 3 alone (4v). I would have expected the charger to see these two cells were at the correct voltage though or at least move angry pixies from one battery to the other.

https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-ollie-with-stage-4-cancer This is the actual Go Fund Me page. To me the silly low target amount and the blurb being written in the third person, despite the Fundraiser supposedly being Ollie himself raises many suspicions. Am I happy to report it to the website? I don't know the poor guy well enough to say this is someone else.

I didn't think it was possible to get a lipo cell to 8v. I think my charger is just confused, because I have the 3 red wires out of the balance plug, and it is definitely 8, 8, 4 on the 3 cells. Now it's more an investigation rather than a salvage mission.
-
If its being disposed of, it being done so in a totally irresponsible manner of shooting the crap out of it whilst sitting in a containment dish. 😜
-
Actually, I've just got my posh multimeter out to double check.... 2 cells at 8ish volts and one at 4v. Yet the charger now reports 8, 8 and 0 Hmm.
-
Somehow, I've manged to charge a 7.4v lipo, whilst simultaneously discharging a single cell of an 11.1v battery I didn't realise was connected to the charger at the same time. I didn't think that was possible on a balance charger, but there you go. Cell 3 is sitting at a little over 4v so I'm guessing it is screwed. All I can think of is to brute force it at very low amps by using crocodile clips on NIMh battery mode until I get to 3v or so, then put it back toghether and do a lroper cycle with it. The pack itself isn't puffed up too badly which is the one promising thing.

What brand BBs are best nowadays? Bang for buck.
Dan Robinson replied to Alex34's topic in General Discussion
Doh - just noticed that link was an editable one. Will leave it as that because I'm hoping people here are trustworthy enough not to ruin a resource for everyone else. LOL. Thanks in advance for anyone that does contribute in a positive way. For anyone that does a naughty..... I have guns. Lots of guns. My dad has several real ones too. -

Here's a linky to my BB Spreadsheet. It needs an update, but was accurate as of October. BB Costs.xlsx My last batch of 28s was DK armaments and seem to be find. -
All for the positive vibes, but peeps have handed over cash a year ago, Admin have been linked, replies to other threads have been made, and not even an acknowledgement of the requests for an update. Yet we have the very entertaining Macks dreamers thread. As THE forum for seasoned players and newbies, I would hope we represented the respectable side of the hobby. Wanted or not, the forum admin/owners really need to step up on this one, even if we are only dealing with a few fivers here and there. I did a charity T shirt fundraiser for the Tsunami in Japan years ago when I was an Admin of a Jap car club that ran to a fair chunk of money. Transparency of the funds was of upmost importance. I even DMd pics of envelopes and addresses as part of proof of postage. I might even have the spreadsheet somewhere LOL. Now if you don't mind, I have 20 minutes left of Navy Seals to watch and I am desperately trying to think of a reason not to buy myself a TM MP5 for my birthday. 😆

Bit out of order that admin aren't responding to this thread even though they have in others.

I politely request the honourable user refer to current map. 😁

Been to that Fort when I was little (my dad was from there). Used to sneak out into the estuary with him and my brother to go camping on the medway forts (Darnet & Hoo) which was a bit naughty even in the 80's. Sailing out on an overloaded, puncture ridden Avon rubber dinghy with a clapped out 4hp Johnson outboard motor, that I don't remember ever making a journey of any length without breaking down no matter how much he tested it in a bucket the day before. Fun times. 🤣

Interesting information. Do you have a suggestion for the best setting for this feature?

Who has to go to Chatham? 🤣

We get it with a certain boiler spares supplier - their ebay shop is cheaper than their website.
-
For vids, I would upload them to Youtube, set them to "unlisted" (unless you don't mind other people watching other than us) then past the linky into your post - that way you are consuming Google's storage not your accounts.

That's what makes pistol kills feel better than most others though isn't it? The Whites of their eyes and the (usually) being the underdog victory. Quite looking forward to some pistol and shottie only games at the new place when it opens.

I always preferred Glocks and Desert Eagles.... but lately the Sig has been making a small itch in certain pew related places. Goddammit
