      Probably threadlocked .

       

      1. Get a pan of water boiling on hob

      2. Stick end of barrel in for 20 seconds or so

      3. Wrap a dark coloured tea towel around barrel and twist clockwise 

      4. Put everything back and deny all knowledge if she asks

    Thanks @timski, I noticed the adapter when I was looking at the madbull rail as I had one on my old ICS but would like to stick as much real steel onto my WE as possible. My main concern is WE’s scale to the real thing as the top rail section is 1mm out, which on paper isn’t much but it’s enough to make mounts wobble so I’m hoping with the adapter it’ll all line up as real steel rails are kind of expensive now and don’t want to be stuck with a paper weight 🤣

    2 years old, but just found this and figured as I have experience with both (Buying the army A1 to test the rail on the ICS), it does not fit without some major filing and adjustment that overall isn’t worth it compared to getting the Madbull DD and adapter. The AA rail is thinner than what is needed for the ICS rail.

    As title suggests; anybody know if a real steel Daniel Defence L85A2 rail will fit a WE L85A2, and if it’s possible how much modification am I looking at, and what’s needed? All I’ve found from a brief google search is people fitting one to the ICS, which is sized differently to the WE.

    Patrolbase had some tan battleaxe ones in stock, just ordered six myself last week. Ideal if it's for a VN loadout 'cause you're gonna have to paint them anyway. Edit: Just checked and they're out of stock. 🥴

    Thanks! I saw that reported a lot whilst doing some brief research. I found this one; https://www.switairsoft.com/product-page/upgrded-m16a1-gas-blowback-airsoft-rifle on SWIT, however my only experience with SWIT was when they lost my order for a kar98k and then took about a month to agree to refund me. The price is about £450, which seems good to me given the trigger itself is about £60. Would that package be ideal?

    Cheers for the replies @Super64 & @Nick G. I'm already running my AEG M16 at real cap amounts all be it 30 rounds instead of 20, so that shouldn't be a problem. Gonna be keeping my eye out for one now!

    As fun as AEG's are, there's just something that little bit special about GBB rifles... I've never had one, nor have I ever used one, but I want one. Naturally, eyeing up the WE M16A1 (Not that I can find any in stock, typcial...). Reviews are mixed, but not much in the sense of if they're any good for a first GBB rifle. What can I expect from one, being that I have absolutely no experience with GBB rifles, and is it a good choice to start with?

    I've just recently picked up a G&G M14 with the intentions of building an "xm21" out of it, but currently not wanting to drop the asking price for 'Nam correct scopes. Picked up a cheap look-a-like scope and low profile mounts, but can't find a railed (Or any for that matter) M14 scope mount. On top of that, apparently G&G M14's don't fit many other rails without modification. Does anybody know of anywhere with an M14 20mm rail in stock, and is there a list or something that has the compatible mounts with said G&G rifle? Haven't found a conclusive one yet.

      I have an E&C m16/XM16 that's not 100% accurate. It has an no forward assist but it has the fenced A1 lower. I'm not super fussed about historical accuracy but it would have been nice! No trades either unfortunately. Just need to assemble the rest of the kit now!

      Cold war stuff is so underrated! @JinxDuh Does your pistol grip have really square edges where it meets the trigger guard? Mine does and it gets a bit sore after a while

    The ones pictured are mid caps. I don't think cyma made any high cap rpk mags in that style either.

    Please, please, please don’t use real tiger in airsoft games. Get repro from Moores or SOF etc if you’re on a budget. It’s scarce enough as it is, let alone another set getting ruined.

    Hey, got an ICS L85A2 Afghan Spec (DD rail repro, Ares 4x SUSAT). Gun is new, literally never been fielded only tested (No BB's through it), rail was on my first ICS L85A2 and has wear. Message me if you're interested.
