0.4s seem like a bit of a nightmare to get at the moment for a reasonable price. It's a real pain that I can't seem to find kilo bags of 0.4s but instead packs of 1000.

I still have such a soft spot for the CM16.
What a workhorse that little thing was/is.
It's a shame the price of them new these days are an absolute joke. So many better options for the same price or cheaper now.

@RostokMcSpoonsI've got two of the DE mosfets in my parts bag. Happy to sell them. They've been just sitting there but they were working when I took them out.

This is not a topic of me complaining that ghillie suits are too difficult to see but more about the quantity.
One thing I've noticed in the last 2 years is how ghillie suits are increasing every game day. Even for people who are not running sniper. I would be interested to see if some sites will start to introduce a rule of that ghillie suits are for bolt actions only or something similar.
Realistically the quality of gameplay would drop for all players if we start to see around 50% of players on skirmish days wearing ghillie suits.

Good day today. Gameplay was competitive and overall was enjoyable. There were a couple of complainers when playing. Due to the thickness of the trees, bushes and nettles full auto was a need sometimes to get through. Admittedly this means sometimes you get hit multiple times but that's part of it. These complainers would always mumble and groan under their breath as they walked back to spawn such as "learn your trigger discipline mate" and stuff like that.
It always puts everyone on edge when that happens as you never know if they are just going to click and cause a big issue.
Overall though thoroughly enjoyed today more than the site I went to last weekend which didn't chrono anyone until they chronoed 4 people after lunch and played hardly any airsoft at.

Just be aware that the silicone ones from Maple leaf can be very hit or miss. The sticky texture to them can cause feeding issues in a large range of guns. Would recommend sticking with the rubber options.

@Gunboat Diplomat One thing I would recommend with the DE is checking the grub screw in the flash hider. Just loosen it up and then tighten it up again. Mine was stuck solid and had to be drilled out when I tried removing it after a year or so. Another thing to check is the screw in the bottom of the motor grip. Mine for some reason has had red loctite put on it (from factory or middleman shop). I have no idea how I am going to be able to remove that as it requires heat and I don't know how to heat it without melting the plastic. Otherwise than that they are really solid guns. They may need some additional work done on them in 2 years or so time depending on use but they are easy to work on and accept most stock parts.

I was talking to a chap at Spec Ops, he was considering a swap deal with someone in Northern Ireland. Luckily he'd not committed because he thought a GBBR might get too much attention from the authorities, might get seized, but I cautioned him there's a scammer over there. I'd never ever do a swap to NI
To be honest I would never ever do a swap that wasn't in person. I takes some balls of steel and a lot of confidence in someone to do a swap in the post!

There seems to be quite a few of these lowa scam sites going around at the moment.
A few of my friends got done by it. Some of them still don't believe it's a scam and that their boots are still coming!
Biggest giveaway for any site like this is the about us and the privacy policy and any customer support emails.
Also do a quick search of the url. If anything comes up saying "is url.com a scam site" it's been searched numerous times before.

A few months ago a guy turned up in WW2 Nazi Germany soldiers loadout. Full on swastika on his belt and on other parts of his kit just no red armband. Problem for me is that it was a normal every day skirmish. I can understand maybe at a WW2 event but it just seems really odd and strange in my opinion to turn up like that and not feel embarrassed of even question yourself. To be fair I would like to see sites start adding regulations on this sort of thing.

I run exclusively GBBRs and G&G are excellent as are Geoff's. Just don't use Bios (they are a con anyway). Not used Umarex. Guarder BB's are a good stand in when I can't find G&G or Geoff's.
This really isn't the case. AEGs will pretty much accept any rubbish. GBBRs need harder, heavier BBs.
Surely "good quality BBs" = harder BBs?
I didn't bring weight into it as it depends on a lot of different things such as the gas being used, the hop and etc.
Lastly AEGs won't accept any old rubbish. The impact of the weight and the quality of the BB is the same. Poor quality BBs will cause damage to an AEG just like it would to a GBBR.
-
BBs are the same across the board when it comes to each platform. BBs good for AEG will be good for Hpa and GBB.
It's more about finding a good quality bb for a good price. Especially as the price of them has noticeably increased recently.
Those brands you listed are pretty good. Recently I have been using Warhead Deltas as they seem fairly reasonable and the quality is very good. I have also heard that the Vorsk bbs are pretty good too for their price.
As long as you get a reputable brand and they are not yellow and have a seam round them they should be good.

When it is jammed is the bucking caught in anyway?
Does the bb stay in the barrel/hop up until you 'un jam' it?

Sportsmanship from both teams was good during the gameplay but there are some things I find rather annoying and unprofessional.
Don't really think it's a case of "being a professional".
Which of the two do you mean?
Again, the real problem is people removing their eyepro in the game zone; even the most dim witted airsofter should be able to work out that is not a good idea.As much briefing as possible should be done in the safe zone; then get the players out and get them started.
I know of one site that encourages, or used to encourage, players to take their eyepro off in the playing area between games.
First line is regarding the site not the players as such but I understand it can read like that. My comment is bringing up that the site should do more to stop such behaviour. Moving the safety briefing and etc to be in the safe zone would eliminate with the point I am raising, or implementing a no magazine in rule until your start location would also do that. My point is not even just focusing on the eye pro. People don't want to stand around in a smallish area for a large amount of people whilst people are shooting and messing about. Any injury where you are not actively participating; in this case waiting for a safety briefing is not acceptable.

The real problem that you raise is people removing their eyepro outside the safe zone. Of course people are going to pull the trigger while waiting; they are NOT professionals, so should not be expected to behave professionally.
However shooting and arsing around during the briefings, in particular the safety brief, should be an instant "pack your stuff and go home".I understand that is a problem however I have seen it at numerous sites people taking their eye pro off when they shouldn't be. Quite often it is young kids however majority of the time it is done during the downtime moments.
Don't really think it's a case of "being a professional". There were 204 people playing yesterday which were all forced into a confined area waiting to listen to the head marshall. Why should people who are waiting patiently and being sensible have to put up with the idea they might be shot in the back of the head from close range because people are messing around and being silly. Yes people have paid to get shot with bbs but they have paid to be shot during the games. Rifs should only be fired around people inside of games only. There's no real need for people to have their mags in the time before the safety briefing, the mission briefing and whilst walking to the start location.

Went to Rift Redcon-2 yesterday for a long time in a while. Sportsmanship from both teams was good during the gameplay but there are some things I find rather annoying and unprofessional. From the get go I am strong believer that during safety briefing and during the pre match information there should be a strict no magazine in guns policy. You will be waiting for the safety briefing or something to start and there are just idiots walking around shooting bbs everywhere. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. People are more to accidently take their eye pro off whilst they are waiting doing nothing and people are just generally closer with a higher risk of accidents happening. I just think sites need to start addressing a policy of no magging up until you reach your start location and as soon as the game is finished everyone should un mag straight away and clear their rif at the floor. The only times people should be magged up is either whilst they are in the game or they are at the range/chrono.
I understand people don't want refs to be "over the top" but this is general health and safety. To be honest majority of the time the only people shooting their rifs during this time are just messing around and have no logical reason to be shooting.

@Angus1 Did you check if the new piston has exactly the same amount of teeth? Could be that there are 1 or 2 teeth short.
What was compression like in the gearbox? Was the air seal good with the whole compression set together and the nozzle sitting in the tappet plate on the end of the cylinder head.

Hello,
I recently installed a Wolverine Inferno Gen 2.
Currently running a ZCI 6.02 tightbore barrel and a ML yellow.
My issue is that I don't believe my FPS is as consistent as it "should" be.
I just chronoed and I am getting
322.3
319.6
316.4
313.2
321.3
320.7
319.9
318.3
319.2
When I put paper over the mag feeding tube the paper does launch up a little bit.
Has anyone get any ideas?

First time back to Rift Comms Site 3 since about a year. Day was overall okay. The site needs quite a bit of balancing ever since the HS2 has changed the site. They have always struggled placing one of the spawns. Its always one team gets to the middle of the site and takes control of the main buildings quicker as they don't have to run as far, whilst the others have to try and push up to them in areas with naff all cover. It's also further to go back to the respawn and no medic rule really makes people play more slow and less likely to try stuff. I also think the amount of snipers there is getting out of control. We counted about 20 snipers on each team but could easily be more and it just makes the gameplay much slower as the snipers just like to sit back and chill instead of helping with the push.
Few individuals were up to their cheating antics with blind firing and not calling their hits but overall wasn't "too" bad.
Overall I think Comms Site 3 is lacking something at the moment that it used to have. It seems to have lost a bit of its charm. Could be fixed pretty easily by balancing the spawn distances. I would also like to see somewhat of a cap on snipers but I understand that it is probably bad for the site income and regulars of the site.

Can't agree more with what people say about finding a good site. Been to quite a few and I would say I have my best days at a local smaller site which is more aimed at being more family friendly. You get a wider range of players, marshaling is stricter on resolving troublemakers and more likely to see a familiar face. I have recently decided to go to this site more often than the other larger site that I have been going to before.
The main site I was going to before was fun but eventually it got tiring with people taking it way too seriously, causing arguments (I was physically assaulted and the site did nothing to resolve the situation other than asking the assaulter to calm down as he goes there frequently) and having the whole "money" attitude.

Had a game day with it yesterday. Was rather enjoyable and peformed quite well. Only thing I did notice is that once I set up the hop for 0.28 and did the chrono in the morning there was quite a bit of a fps drop. Do you think it's worth putting in a stronger spring so that when the hop is set for 0.28 its where it should be.
I saw an example of this in one of negativeairsofts video regarding a arcturus ak where it was perfect for 0.2 but when set to 0.28 it dropped a lot.
Cheers

Also remember to get stuck in, many new players join and take it slow and steady being too cautious about being shot. I think most people agree that the first game of the day is always a bit on your tip toes because you can't remember if it hurts or not but once you get hit for the first time in the day you have nothing to worry about. Also remember that the rental guns are not going to be perfect but will be good enough to hit anyone on the site. Lastly nothing is a silly idea if it works, sometimes sprinting into no man's land wins you the game
