  1. This looks compelling at first glance, however, Patrol Base are slapping their classic extortionate mark up on the products. For example, on their new TG x PB featured product page: Double Eagle M904R via Taiwan Gun = £98 Double Eagle M904R via Patrol Base = £170 PB is x1.75 more expensive in this example, a bunch of other products i cross referenced where the same if not worse. Most of us order from TG over PB for 3 main reasons: TG is drastically cheaper PB never has items in stock TG has far greater selection Of the 12 TG x PB featured products on their site (maybe even the only 12 items in this new offering, i dont see more?), only 1 is in stock. So in all, this looked great at first glance, but sadly it means pretty much nothing for us.
  2. Sup guys hope everyone's well! Sadly, my CYMA Platinum 0.97B from TG broke 3 hours after use. It makes the jingle when the battery plugs in but doesn't fire anymore. TG think its the optical trigger sensor, and they're probably right. Not only that, but it dropped from 350 to 300fps within a few hours too, so guess there's an airleak already. However, they are flat out declining to fullfill our warranty agreement. They said they are no longer shipping to the UK because of 'brexit' despite accepting my order and many other's in May. For that reason they are not willing to give me a return label to send it back to them for repair. I know it's likely a simple fix, but its my first RIF and I dont want to open it myself and void the warranty, incase there's more issues down the road.. I mean, it completely broke after 3 hours. Pretty shocked at TG's customer service, they have been horrendously unhelpfull and are doing anything they can to shut me out. I'd prefer not to go down the paypal dispute route as I loved the gun while it lasted, and its £100 cheaper than buying in the UK, (and I paid a load in import fee's to get it here). Anyways, just thought I'd share this in case anyone has any suggestions for what I should do. It's my first and only replica so I've been missing out on game days, sat here with a bunch of brand new unusable gear. I'll see how things go from here on out, but if they continue to be unhelpful I'll probably post a brand new thread on here warning people of the risks involved with TG. Peace out
  3. It seems that those who made orders from the end of 2020 till the second half of April have been having serious issues. Check a couple of posts back on this thread's page and you'll see that I got my order in 9 days. I'm not sure if I was insanely lucky or if things are back to normal for new orders going forward. My friend placed an order on TG a week after I did, I will update the thread on his experience, hopefully it mirrors mine, somewhat confirming things are back to 'normal'
  4. Thanks for the info mate! I received mine yesterday and I can confirm there is no issue when using an 11.1v LiPo while on semi mode. On auto mode the ROF is frightening lol. How was the air seal on your unit? I would prefer not to take it apart unless need be. The rifle's firing bang on 350fps (+-3) with hop set to all the way to off. Unfortunately my LiPo is just a tiny slither too big to slide all the way into the buffer tube, so annoying.. brainstorming how to get around that without buying another one.
  5. No fucking way.. get on the phone to them asap and stop that from happening if at all possible! Calling the UK brokerage number took me 2 hours to get through last time, however, I called the main UPS customer support number on their site a few days ago and I got through to someone in literally 2 minutes. Either way, if it does end up being sent back to TG, they will reship it out and it should take ~10 days to get to you, so in a way, you may end up getting the package sooner by it being returned and then sent out as fresh.
  6. Hi lads hope we all had a nice weekend! So, my package arrived! No border force tape, despite them taking possessition of the package for a day. TG dont pay extra for weekend delivery, otherwise I'd have got my package on Saturday rather than today. With that in mind, my order from the time of being handed over to UPS to it's delivery took 9 days. That's even including border force taking it into their possession. Safe to say that things are back on track for orders going forward. Of course It's worth noting I got lucky with UPS not losing my package multiple times. 4/5/21 - Order placed6/5/21 - Order shipped 11/5/21 - Stanford Le Hope 13/5/21 - Firearm Decliration 13/5/21 - Border Force Took 14/5/21 - Border Force Released / Paid fees £81 (for a £283 valued order) 15/5/21 - Departed SLH (1am) 15/5/21 - Arrived at local depot (2am) (Would have been delivered to me that morning, if not for weekend) 17/5/21 - Delivered late morning
  7. Glad you got the refund quickly! Did you happen to pay via PayPal? If so, the refund process can be instant.
  8. Update: I paid the fees yesterday online, before paying the fees I had a scheduled delivery date of this monday, then shortly after payment the tracking updated to reflect the payment, only the scheduled delivery date vanished and instead I was left with 'Please check again later for scheduled delivery' and it has remained that way since.. lol, classic UPS. Regardless, the package left SLH at midnight on route to the Barking depot, which is only a 30 minutes drive away, yet its been 13 hours and the package hasn't yet arrived at UPS Barking, or so it states..
  9. Thanks for your insight! Yeah I'm not going to decline their charges as they seem fairly reasonable and I dont exactly want to jeoprodise recieving my order in the coming days. Also, does anyone know if UPS deliver these international packages in the UK on Saturdays?
  10. Update: found the invoice in my account. (Order value was £283) Government Charges: £66.44 Brokerage Charges: £21.80 Freight Charges: £0.00 VAT: £0.00 Total: £88.24 So thats just over 30% of the order value. Is it normal to have a £0 VAT charge? And a government charge at £66? Also, £21 in brokerage fees..? They sent me the firearm form, I filled it, sent it back, and they released the package to customs, all in the span of 1 day. Not sure if I've been ripped off here or If I've gotten lucky by not having been charged VAT? Curious why the government fees are so high, unless it has something to do with border force having to take a look at it. Surely that wouldn't cost the customer anything though, it's not like there was anything ilicit in my package..
  11. 🤞🏼 Tried to contact UPS’s billing department but gave up after waiting nearly 2h. I’d like to see the invoice broken down as there’s the RIF but then a bunch of accessories and clothing etc. Any bet they’ve over charged me.
  12. Update: Border force received and released my package in less than 24h! If all goes smoothly from here onwards then I’ll have received my order in under 14 days. There could be light at the end of the tunnel for orders going forward. Also, I’ve been asked to pay ‘88.24 UKL’(?) in import and whatever else fees. However there’s no hyperlink in the email or any area on the site while logged in to pay the invoice? Could anyone give any insight?
  13. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. Perhaps give TG a call? Or perhaps you could ask TG for the export doc and send the doc to UPS yourself?
  14. Is it being held because TG are failing to provide UPS with requested documents?
