Imagine getting at two-tone Kar98!
THE CHIEF replied to bitofanidiot42's topic in General Discussion
I often wonder if shops would refuse to two tone some items, or try and talk them out of it. But I suppose money is money. -
In the hope that you take away some useful information forget the RIF's. If you want to push a useful Airsoft video why don't you focus on eye pro, rifle cases ect. You can have the £900 Uber leet hi capa that you have dressed up to look like a cheap two tone, but plenty of people do that.

To be fair it was working well until it failed, never skipped a beat. Then it jammed giving the real immersive nam experience. I need to figure out what is happening and why it won't fully go into battery. I think the next step is remove the hop unit and barrel and try the fit of the bolt carrier outside of the gun.

Still having problems with the VN. To recap. Whilst shooting in a game a round got jammed under the hop rubber between the two halves. The loading arm at the end of the nozzle snapped sonit would no longer collect a round fro the magazine. Replacent nozzle ordered and fitted. Hop unit removed and all debris removed. All fitted back together and it just won't go into battery properly. It's about 1mm too far back. Now I have since realised that it is fitted with an angry gun steel bolt carrier and was fitted with an angry gun nozzle. (Purchased second hand so didn't know the difference) The we nozzle is a little tight inside the bolt carrier. Are the two cross compatible?

Personal choice. I'm looking at an LCT rpd. I would be devastated if I spent over £1000 on a gun and it never got played with. But that's because I WANT to play with it. Basically it comes down to how pissed off would you be if you damaged it. And can you get parts if you do.

One thing you wish you knew coming into airsoft?
THE CHIEF replied to ODST's topic in General Discussion
Buy some good boots, and break them in before you go running around all day. Get some good eye pro and remember it is a consumable. Something that takes replacement lenses is best. Ignore Mr "PUSH UP!!! COME ON!!!" I have only ever heard him from behind somewhere. Most people love to show off their guns. If you want to have a look just ask. I normally give out the M60 to rentals to have a go with. Communication wins more games than big guns. Don't be afraid to walk over to a table and start talking in the safe zone. That table of freaks? That's normally the fun people who don't care if they get a kill all day and some how are wrecking machines. The guy with the 2k AEG is normally the first guy to pack up if it looks like rain. And just sound advice... Once you are a bit seasoned try and help out the rental guys. Either call follow me or ask where are we going. They will carry you to victory when you realize you are too old to move after 2:30pm ? -
I remember tech brigade ran pistol and pump games about lunch time years ago. No help now though. I would be happy to play one of those games. I would also allow an AEG m249 with a 100-200rnd mid cap in the side as the realistic support role.

Got it, hit it with the blow torch to melt the glue under it. What a bitch that was! But indeed it is a standard thread
-
Thanks for the help No grub screw or cross pin. And because of the model no wrench point. Just a perfectly round three prong.
-
I'm trying to remove the flash hider from a VN M16 to replace it with a full birdcage. Before I hit it with a blow torch can anyone confirm that it actually comes off and what thread it has please?

I'm just glad to see some different historical pistols. What I wouldn't give for a TM browning hi power or makarov. I mean it's not like they are uncommon...

The vfc XM148 grenade launcher looks good with their early armalites. I would love to see them combine the FAL and XM to do an aussie sasr L1a1.
-
I was more interested in the XM148 launchers! I'm on the fence with the 249. Having to carry a stack of magazines is a bit odd. And you will want a pile of them. Nice for milsim or gbb only events. I imagine the parts get very expensive very quickly. £600 to start, that's reasonable. Then all the bits to make it into a mk1, plus at least 10 mags. Plus some bulbs incase you gas out...

Phantom AUG Conversion Kit - guide for a beginner
THE CHIEF replied to Pijon's topic in General Help
About 20 years ago there was a chap at tech brigade who had a phantom aug. He fitted a psg1 inner barrel and padded out the body and around the gearbox with foam. Let me tell you, that thing was quiet and had some real range on it! Maybe something to consider if you want to get fancy. -
That takes me back. Just waiting for someone to ask why they haven't bothered making a full metal version ?
-
It was a stock WE nozzle. Had a double feed that managed to mash a round into the chamber and under the hop rubber. The little bit that collects the next round and lifts it up the feed ramp broke. The actual nozzle bit is alright. It cycles well just won't chamber a round any more. These things happen and like I say, an easy fix. The trishot and M79 stood in for the last game.
-
Well she ran like a champ until the last game when the loading nozzle ate shit. An easy fix. Anyway cheers for a good day and proving to me that gbbrs are viable in crappy weather
-
Thanks, happy shooting!
-
Ok peeps, it's going to be pissing down with rain. Npas fitted WE m16. What flavour of gas should I be using? Cheers in advance
-
Absolutely a npas would be used to keep the fps at a safe and legal limit
-
To be honest I don't intend to use either, I'm quite happy running it on green gas or propane. It just came up in a conversation as a theoretical at work. Is there any benefit to using a more powerful gas? Does it make it more gas efficient?
-
Hello gbb knowledgeable's... Question. It's a warm summers day and you are running a WE gbbr. If you have fitted an Npas to bring the fps to a safe limit and run black gas what would happen? Nothing of note, it kicks harder, it blows up?

Vietnam jungle boots for me. Once broken in they are like trainers. But they do need braking in well before a game. Failing that magnum's are great hard wearing boots.

Some days I am an unstoppable killing machine where even a cursory glance at a bush results in 10 crys of HIT!!! Other days I get an absolute beat down never seeing where it came from. Both of them are just as fun to me. I like a good fight. The one thing about airsoft is its not pay to win. Some of the most fun I have had is with a cheap trishot shotgun. Feel free to wander around the safe zone and look at other people's kit. Most players are more than happy to let you give it a try Last time I was at dragons lair I was passing around the M60 to rental players so they could have a blast.

Tadpole sparse tiger stripes for me. Desert tiger stripe if I'm feeling fashionable. Good old DPM if the weather is shite. Faded DPM is like an invisibility cloak when compared to fresh DPM.
