  2. Ha! Tactical carbine! That was my brothers first gun about 20 years ago as you say. It's a nice gun but a 20 year old armalite is not especially valuable as things have moved on. The receiver will still have the two little pins in the top to keep it aligned and such. Around £120ish The MP5 though, if that's the B&T model with the hop behind the ejection port... That might be quite desirable. About £150ish That old claw mount on it is desirable as well, especially with LCT and VFC making vintage H&K rifs. You'd probably get £40 for the mount. nice rifs but not especially valuable
  3. Given the money people spend on retro receivers and the VFC line, you would think a fixed carry handle model would be in the works. Particularly as they have the 20 round mag and AKM for bad guy guns.
  4. On mine I noticed a bit of flash on the hop rubber. I removed it (it just pulls off) and cleaned it up. Now it shoots as well as any WE pistol on a .25 with a very surprising range! I also picked up a threaded barrel from KY Airsoft so you can fit a tracer or small suppressor. It's probably shot more ammo being passed around at the start of games than by me.
  5. Ahhh, but you see this is the basic bitch model made with plastic. Soooo yey?
  6. Actually it's shooting fine, I'm not worried about the mechanism. It's more the actual body assembly for things like O rings and screws I was after. I have a few different 60's and the TOP scores big in one area, no box mag for that ammosexual look ?
  7. Hello peeps. I have an old lady acquired recently in the shape of a TOP M60 STD. Its a collection of minor faults that can all be easily sorted with a couple of exceptions. Would anyone have an old manual or exploded diagram in a box somewhere?
  8. Ha! I would assume the training is still the same with people practicing a log roll if absolutely necessary. Basic first aid kit for game days with a couple of personal augmentations. Like some Mr Bump plasters for people particularly being a pussy.
  9. I'll double down and say it's viable in the woods. I'll give anyone a game with a trishot.
  10. I run a WE M16 with 20rnd mags. It's a good little rifle and a lot of fun. If anything goes wrong then parts are cheap and plentiful. Most problems occur when people "upgrade" it. One part is suddenly much harder so something else needs replacing, and them something else and so on... The M16 is probably as unreliable as gbbrs get if you read the comments. But I have founds it's fine apart from one broken nozzle due to excessive full auto during an oh shit moment. A lot of information is parroted along the lines oh "I've heard but never actually used one". Is it an MWS? Hell no. Is it a lot of fun? Hell yes! The KWA skorpion is also great fun for something different.
  11. that should give you all the info you need
  12. If I am hit and walk off dead, but leave a machine gun in place that's an invite to jump on it and have fun until I return. If you lend out kit and it gets broken that's something you should be prepared for, within reason obviously. Work with the rentals, they are there just for a good time and will be happy to run into a wall of fire over and over again.
  13. Maybe a proper styre tmp?
  14. I must have got lucky with mine then as it shoots like a TM. What's the opposite of a Friday afternoon special??? Might be a try before you buy gun then with poor consistency between individual pistols.
  15. I swear by the KWC/cybergun 100th anniversary edition. Has the great kick of CO2 but chrono's at 300fps. Now I must say I like the old school 1911 and series 70 types. I have a TM but the KWC keeps creeping into the shoulder holster because it's usually a short range weapon for me and a loud bang send people running. Think about how you will use it. No point it paying for a super pistol that will send rounds out a hundred meters if you pull your pistol and 10 meters or less. The only ball ache is most people require you to Chrono with a fresh bulb so it can be wasteful if you don't empty the mag at a game.
  16. On the odd occasion I take out mine I connect it to the HPA tank but not the battery. Rotate the barrels by hand to chamber one BB and fire. Rotate to next barrel and shoot. No battery, no spinny spin spin.
  17. Top job!
  18. It's annoyingly blurred. It has G26 mil-spec 9x19 on the slide. The slide is plastic.
  19. Hello peeps, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a mystery Glock 26 of unknown vintage I got off a friend. The top slide is cracked and needs replacing but I have no idea who its made by or if its a clone of a clone of a clone. Could be made anytime on the last 20 years. No apparent hop unit, no ASGUK branding I can find. I have attached a couple of pics. I don't know if its worth repairing really but my Mrs is rather taken with it and that's to be keenly encouraged! Even if she is wrong and should use a 1911 like a civilized person. Cheers
  20. I'm waiting for the fixed carry handle MWS! I can't believe they tooled up the 20rnd magazine and didn't follow up with car15 or early m16. Plus they have the AKM for the bad guys to use.
  21. The most interesting thing about it to me is the detachable magazine.
  22. Sorry to say the spas is also obscure and obsolete these days. However... I would argue that any of the listed weapons would be collected and used. Especially in Japan. I bet a BREN and owens would sell well in America.
  23. Top of my head... a BREN gun, HK21, Owens gun, lewis gun, swedish K, M60E3 long and short... Maybe based on the Cam870 an Ithaca M37 or spas 12 Based on the trishot AEG a usas12 I know some have been done based on old technology like the TOP M60 or KTW M37. But they are not practical skirmish weapons. There's so many that haven't been touched.
  24. I don't think airsoft is running out of steam. I think the manufacturers are. Each year it's what new M4's are they producing. If no one ever made another armalite there would be enough to go around for years to come. Maybe release the new latest furniture every now and then to fit the existing M4's. I wouldn't mind if there was real innovation but so much is the same gun and gearbox over and over again. I'm thinking back to 2003ish when classic army exploded with a range of AK74's, G36's, Aug's, G3's, M249's, SR25's TM were knocking out Sig 552's, M14's, M733's (an overhaul of the basic tooling) a revamped GBB system for pistols. Chinese clones were cheap as chips and even they showed innovation and new models. I think one of the first HK416's was a JG. I'd take a thundermaul over yet another MK18 any day. Given the primary reason for airsoft guns was to get hold of accurate replicas of firearms I would like to see more variety from the manufacturers. It's all got a bit stale for me. I'm happy to keep playing and buying but there's not as much that excites me these days AEG wise.
  25. Man, I haven't worked that out since ascuk, ukan and ukaz was a thing
