  1. An update from my ongoing search.

So I tired to order the Guarder part from KY airsoft as they claimed to have it stock. What they really meant was they thought they could get it quickly from their distributor. Given I believe there are none anywhere they of course could not. After a lone wait it took a lot of chasing to get them to admit this and a lot more persuation to get a refund. Even then when they promised the refund they never processed it, so had to claim through PayPal (sucessfully). Leason - AVOID KY airsoft.

I have had some minor success. I have recieved an Army Force version from sixmm.

    https://www.sixmm.com/en-gb/products/army-force-army-metal-housing-with-magwell-for-m-seriesgbbfor-r-r-r-gbb

Sixmm have a mixed reputation but after some chasing they eventually shipped and it has arrived. For the price it is OK. It will need some filing to make it fit but I am OK with this. It also looks OK with a matt finish that matches my frame. It will certianly work for now until in many months (could be a year) when Guarder or Nova make some more. As a bonus it also came with the hammer sping and retention pin. Will replace the spring but always good to get the pin which can be a nightmare to find on it's own.

  2. What bucking (brand and grade) and nozzle are you using? Are they the orignals or aftermarket?

The AA mags have a poor reputation with many commenting on their poor performance. I also found them them bad with my AAP-01 and so I now only use WE or TM.

Also don't underestimate the impact to performance and reliabilty due to low quality BBs.

  3. It is really anoying that they have this new policy of a £100 limit for e-express. No one else has this limit (just size and weight).

I recently ordered from them making sure it was under £100 to miss this limit and keep it under the £135 limit for goods so not import duties and VAT are charged. However they marked the shipment as a gift. This has a duty and VAT limit of £35 so I ended up paying the duties and processing fee when it was not due.

  4. Well I was willing to give them another chance given the issues you mention however this latest order has no excuse. One item is completely missing and in addition I order two CNC aluminium (clearly stated in description) triggers only to receive two cheap plastic ones. The order only had 5 items in it yet messed up 3 of them. It should not be this difficult.

This is after having another order outright canceled after several weeks as their 'in stock' status was a lie.

It is a shame as they often have parts difficult to get elsewhere (when genuinely in stock). However I will no longer be using their services.

  5. I can guarantee that the guarder part at Boomarms is not in stock. I have also been searching for the past month for these myself and until the very recent website update the said 'stock incoming'. It said this on many things out of stock and now suddely these have all changed.  There is no longer a clear stock status and you can add it to your cart. This happened to all 'stock incoming' items. This will, in effect, be a pre order until Guarder can be bothered to run another batch. Given what I believe is low demand this could be many months.

  6. So I am awaiting a Nova 1911 kit to ship over from HK. In the meantime I have been trying to find the right accessories to match. In my search I have come across something that is confusing me as I was not sure there was a difference between slide stops.

However the Wii Tech website has two versions of each of their slide stops with the following statements:

1911 (T.Marui) CNC Steel Slide Stop Hi-Capa Light -  It fits T.Marui Hi-Capa gbb pistol only.

1911 (T.Marui) CNC Steel Slide Stop 1911 Light - It only fits T.Marui 1911 series GBB pistol that uses single stack magazine.  It does not fit Hi-Capa series GBB pistol

Nearly all other slide stops I have seen suggest they are suitable for both. I am confused. Can anyone enlighten me?

    Thanks

  7. Boomarms has always been a great place in the past to get unique or hard to find parts as well as good prices on more common items. However their recent service has taken a really bad turn.

Their stock indication is a joke with 4 of my recent orders only partially fulfilled as they never had stock. These parts are still showing in stock on their website.

Their communication is also terrible. They are not responding to most emails.

What really has annoyed me is my latest delivery. This was only a partial shipment as 7 items were not actually stock. However what was shipped had many issues.

6 items are missing that they say were shipped and 3 items were the wrong version of what I ordered.

For now I advise people to stay away from them until they can sort themselves out.

  8. I need to give them a chance for a final response so will wait until Monday. If I hear nothing or do not get an acceptable solution I will be straight to PayPal. Even then I expect I will need to ship it back and show proof to PayPal and figure out how to claim the return shipping costs.

  9. Bunny Workshop - one to avoid!

A couple of years ago I placed an order with them which they only had half of the items I wanted, even though they said they had stock, so I avoided them for a while.

However I recently placed an order again giving them a second chance as they also had a slide I wanted that was not available elsewhere. It took them a week before they shipped the order at which time they told me 2 items where not in stock. Still they sent the rest of the order after they refunded those items (Many HK stores are guilty of this).

A couple of weeks later I received the order and to my disappointment they had substituted 2 other items in my order. A blowback unit (ordered one for a G18C and got one for a G17 RMR, so not compatible) and the most impotant and expensive item in the order , the slide.

I contacted them about this (their communication is slow). After a while they have offered to half fix the slide issue by sending a different barrel but no offer to rectify the BBU issue.  I had not properly opened the slide in anticipation of returning it but I have opened it to find it is used. There are many marks and nicks over the slide that have been covered by a black marker pen and the are where lines on the included BBU where it has been previously installed.

I am still waiting to here back from them on this but I could no longer keep quite about the appalling service from them. Avoid at all costs.

Hardly seems worth anyone's while to fake a niche product for a niche hobby, but... Chyna.

I'd assume that whoever "PDI" is has just changed their OEM, or has experienced a bait-and-switch.

PDI is the OEM and they do make premium priced barrels. Prometheus barrels (Laylax/nine ball etc.) had issues with fake barrels going back a few years.

Having recently got known genuine parts direct from Japan that are the same as they have always been I very much doubt they have changed the way they make their barrels. There are a number of small differences that would make no sense for them to change so I am almost certain these are not genuine now.

I have contacted the store where I got them from and am awaiting their response. I will have to see how this goes.

  11. Do PDI barrels always have the PDI markings on the side (i.e. .01 PDI JAPAN)? These are GBB barrels for a P226.

I have recently bought some from a UK supplier and there appears to be no markings on the barrel. In addition the window cut is slightly different (has a radius to the angle were as my other PDI barrel are straight cut with a sharp transition).

I am comparing this to a number of other PDI barrels I have with some just recently bought from X-Fire (official distributors).

Can anyone say for certain how to tell?

    Thanks

  12. So after waiting over a month and getting no response to any of my emails I mentioned I would raise a PayPal dispute. Low and behold I get an email letting me know they are having trouble getting the multicam material and offering an alternative (even though it was listed as in stock) I accepted the alternative but have heard nothing back for yet another week. No sign of any delivery. I asked for a refund last week but as expected have heard nothing o today I have raised that PayPal dispute.  Does not matter how good the product is, this sort of service and performance is not acceptable.

    Thanks for the info mate!

I received mine yesterday and I can confirm there is no issue when using an 11.1v LiPo while on semi mode.

On auto mode the ROF is frightening lol.

How was the air seal on your unit? I would prefer not to take it apart unless need be. The rifle's firing bang on 350fps (+-3) with hop set to all the way to off.

Unfortunately my LiPo is just a tiny slither too big to slide all the way into the buffer tube, so annoying.. brainstorming how to get around that without buying another one.

There was a leak that was fixed by replacing the piston o-ring. However, if you are only getting a =/- 3 fps difference than that is good and I would not worry about it.
